Got one of these coming in a couple days. My 9 yo nephew had a good time bashing my lunchy around and it came back with bent steering arms, whatcha gonna do... I should probably get him one, lol
Looks like a really nice part, apart from the colliding with a-arm of course... I actually looked at this on one of the online stores, but decided against it as I still have absolutely no idea how to rig up the steering of my Lunchbox... But I'll have it figured out before end of October, be sure of that, ha ha!
yeah you skipped the bit where you attach them to the steering arms.. thats the bit i wanted to see.. i want to see if this can be used on other similar tamiya cars
No sorry, I don't. I just had another look at ebay and I see they're not available. You can always upgrade to a Kimbrough servo saver, they're very strong!
The kit doesn't work with the original kit supplied knuckle. Did you upgrade to aluminum knuckle? The plastic one, holes are way to small to accommodate the kit. What screws/nuts did you use. The ones with the original lunchbox/MP are way too small....
@@poorboysrc Oh, I know the Gearbox is a Tank. My first R/C was the Grasshopper. But back then, Brushless Monsters were not really around. LOL Got a Lunchbox and a Pumpkin coming...Was just curious. thanks Man, love the Videos.
As wonderful as this product is…..it has now burnt out 2 Core-RC 4012 servos on my re-re Lunchbox within 1 run with each…… crunch crunch crunch crunch…… cccccccccccccckhhhhhh
@@poorboysrc Really don’t know…. I’m pretty good at this stuff but this mod didn’t work out as well as all the others….. It’s a CORE-RC 4012 (CR493) servo that’s burnt out (just keeps spinning and spinning rather than locking on turn). As I say, I’m 2 down now. I had 1 spare but now I’m looking at what the upgrade is.
@@stathap sounds like some stripped teeth on the internal servo gears. If they're made of plastic you'll burn through them, the servo saver is too strong. I try and buy servos with steel or brass gears, my personal experience has been that they last a lot longer! 👊
@@stathap I'm running brass on my MP and it's held up fine! Steel tends to cost a little more. Just make sure the output spline on your servo matches the tooth count of your servo saver! 👊
I have 2 sets of these myself. Can't be beat. A top 10 must have upgrade.
Absolutely! These steering linkages and servo saver are the best!
Great vid. Exactly the review I was looking for! :)
Perfect, glad you found it!

That's the beauty of the Lunchy, it's so simple! You'll get it dialed in, no worries there! 👍🏻
Great video
Thanks for watching! 👊🍻

They use M3 hardware which is pretty much standard on all RC's these days. Hope that helps. 🙏
I enjoyed a great video let's be friends.

How do you get em to fit the wheel end?? I have tried putting the cups on and they just pop off when it turns
I used some metric screws I had kicking around. M3, I believe. 👍🏻

I think I enlarged the holes in the stock knuckles. I eventually upgraded to aluminum knuckles with M3 holes.
Curious, are you still Running the Stock Gearbox with a 10T Brushless Motor?
I sure am. I've dialed down the punch a little to help protect the drive train but yeah, that gear box is tough as nails!

Oh no, how did it burn them out? I've had no issues with mine, in fact, I really love it!
