When Bill finally gets to Cheyenne, a guy named Will Plummer calls him out. Bill had hurt Plummer years before when he killed his brother. Bill has some guys tie him to a chair and take him out into the street to "even the odds." Plummer wouldn't give in, so Bill beat him and killed him.

Wild Bill is an American historical Western movie from 1995 that tells the story of the last days of Lawman Wild Bill Hickok. Walter Hill wrote and directed the movie. It was based on Thomas Babe's 1978 play Fathers and Sons and Pete Dexter's 1986 book Deadwood. Jeff Bridges, Ellen Barkin, John Hurt, and Diane Lane are in it. It came out on December 1, 1995, from United Artists. It only made $2.1 million at the box office, even though it cost $30 million to make, and reviewers gave it mixed reviews.
