Good Review thanks. I’ve got this and 6 Meross single HomeKit plugs. They work great. However the one thing to mention is that if your router Is broadcasting your SSD both dual band 2.4 gHz and 5gHz you may have trouble setting up these devices. I have a Ubiquiti Unfi Wi-Fi access point and had to login to the Unifi controller and temporarily disable 5gHz because it kept failing after I had scanned the HomeKit code on the back of each device and I couldn’t set them up. There is no way on iOS to choose different bands on Wi-Fi. For me this is fine but for the average Bungalow Bill with his generic internet provided router that can’t ever remember passwords and possibly even his own house number, logging into a router would be beyond their capabilities, it would be easier for them to cross the Atlantic floor on a clockwork dog.
I’ve had mine about a month now and have experienced a couple of issues, 9/10 it’ll work but occasionally it’ll be unresponsive. I’ve also had to re set it up a couple of times after the router got switched off my mistake and it became unreachable. Overall I think it’s a good product but mine seems to have a couple of flaws
Just bought the 6 outlet unit and it works perfectly. BUT.... I realised that it will only work on devices with an actual ON/OFF toggle switch. It will not work with on/off touch devices, unless I’m missing something? Otherwise it works great.
That’s the same with all smart plugs… Because loads of companies are making electronics these days with capacitive buttons, that can’t remember their last on state when unplugged. If possible, when I look to buy stuff to use smart plugs, I try and unplug and replug it to see if it comes back on when it is plugged back in.
On the strength of this review I purchased two strips. I set both up quickly and easily and for a month or so they both worked flawlessly. However, both units have now developed the annoying problem of randomly switching off and back on instantaneously. Not a problem in the bedroom where I only have a lamp and a charger plugged in but in the lounge I have three items which lose connection to the internet. They then need to reboot themselves and reconnect to the internet before they are accessible again. The random off/on happens at anytime of the day or night but is now becoming a nuisance and I have decided to abandon using them in favour of a traditional power strip. Has anybody else had this problem and if so found a cure?
I’d love to know how many watts these strips draw when plugged in and idling ?
I’ve had this for a couple of days now, no issues so far and it’s great value for money. I will be investing a few more!
Meross is pumping out a lot of affordable products at the moment
Hi. I have a question for you. Would I be able to set up two power strips in the same room? One behind my Television stand and beside my nightstand?
How do you attach the power strip to a wall/desk etc. with screws? The holes in the back are very peculiar...
Really liked the product but mine died after two weeks. Really hesitant to order another one
Is this a UK only powerstrip offering?
Can the outlets have icons on the Homescreen on the Home app without tapping 'power strip'
What's the omap?
Can I plug a 4k tv and a ps5 at the same time?
If i change the name of the outlet to (for example) fan, will the icon change or will it have the outlet icon?
It will have fab, if you change from outlet to fan
do you know any power strip that lets you control the sockets and usb individually?
Yes you can control the 4AC in smart power strip individually by app, voice command.
What about your Wi-Fi settings ?) sometimes strip lost connection :(
Just bought 2 of those. Amazon should be delivering soon! Let's see
Hey are you able to disable the Led?
No
I have EU version of this power strip and I can turn on/off LEDs. Maybe there was an update and now this function is avalible also in US/UK.
Mine doesnt want to connext
Do you know how many watts the USB ports put out? Thank you for this good review.
USB 5V-24A for single USB port
USB 5V-4.0A for four USB port
Can I control several meross power strips within the same app or will this only work on 1 power strip?
Each strip will be seen as an independent device in HomeKit
@@HomeKitAuthority thank you.
Useful review that I wholeheartedly agree with. I’ve had my power strip for about 3 weeks and have experienced no issues
So far all of the meross stuff I have tested has been solid.

Yes, that’s a good point to add about the SSD bands
my friend, please review the new bedside lamp from Meross
It’s coming
I don’t see this version on Amazon, just the one with three power points.
Did you follow the link the description?
I did. That link didn’t take me to the product.
What country are you in?

It should take you to the meross Amazon page. Scroll down and the strip with the HomeKit logo is there

I genuinely have not had any issues with Wi-Fi performance. You should get in touch with the support team

Meross is hitting things out of the park with their HomeKit products.
100% agree, it’s going to be interesting to see what else they deliver now
I have a number of Meross smart plugs. They are affordable and reliable so far. Looking at the garage door opener.
The garage door review is coming this week hopefully!
Well done John. I don’t believe this power bar is available in 🇨🇦. Certainly not on Amazon.
I don’t think it is yet
