How vulnerable is the SXR800 to water logged foam? Is this more common with the SJ? New sub and enjoy your content. Binging your videos in -25 temps Xmas weekend dreaming of summer...lol.
I was watching a video of someone replacing the pump bolt inserts. What keeps water from coming up the threaded porting of the insert and into the foam?
Thanks, gotta go check my 2009 now.
That Schwinn Orange Krate is badass..lol
Great info thanks

Thanks for watching. The SXR 800 is really not known for foam troubles like the Super jets.
Hi John, what silicone and epoxy do you use? Thank you
Thanks
How donu remove the rubber mount under the engine. Do u have to replace case bolts for it? Thanks
No need to change the bolts. Just remove the mount, and put the bolts back in.
Won't they be too long without the rubber there? Maybe I'm missing something. Also mine are rusted really bad for some reason.
@@Northwestvision No they are not too long. The bolts are a shoulder bolt. You will understand when you install them......

On a SJ I put silicone on the threads. On a Kawi, the pump bolts are NOT exposed to the tray foam.
@@watercrafttalk2738 are the superjet threads exposed into the foam? Or are the inserts sealed?
@@benselby6171 Inserts are "supposed" to be sealed, but many times they are not, and do in fact leak. Thus I put Silicone in the insert to seal.
How do you know that the tray foam gets filled from those spots?
What do you do if the foam is waterlogged? Cut holes in itvand replace the foam?
es, you would need to cut the hull open, dig out all old, wet foam, reglass hull up, and re-foam.
Thanks I found my sticker peeled off
Thanks for watching!
