Good video John! Appreciate your humility, you're an excellent teacher. Just bought an unmolested 18' SJ and have been binging your content in an effort to prevent mistakes like these. The information you share with the community (YT & XH20) has earned my future business. Will be contacting you about an RCJS Steering System and jetting. Keeping it simple for now but will eventually be looking for more performance. Thank you sir!

Thank you for the kind words, and for watching. Please feel free to reach out if I can help. Emails or calls to the shop are best.

That dealership installed all of those things using every misconception I had prior to learning the quirks of PWCs -- Like, you'd think the cooling water would go to the head first, but of course that's wrong. You'd think aftermarket flame arrestors might not make a big enough difference to warrant jetting changes, but that's wrong (pop-off change). That owner is going to finally get to actually enjoy the mods he purchased now that you've corrected the installs.

Thanks for the recommendation to silicone the superset where the foam is exposed.

Thats where Yamaha fills the ski with foam. You usualy silicone over them to keep the foam from getting wet.
