Life Saver Video. Doing my internship and stuck between aliphatic and aromatic rings. Found your video at the right time. Thank you for the simple explanation!
I wish I had a teacher like you 6 years ago!!! I would have never taken physics as I always loved chemistry but was conceptually weak at the same time..
The dots represent electron pairs, and the "O" has a negative sign. Carbon normally contains four valence electrons, and because it has now five, it has a minus charge because electrons are negatively charged.
If I am understanding your question correctly, the carbon that you are referring to is part of the ring. It is bonded to three atoms and has one double bond resulting in sp2 hybridization.
It is an aromatic compound: These resources might help you work through understanding how...www.chem.ucla.edu/~harding/tutorials/polycyclic_aromaticity.pdf www.ebi.ac.uk/chebi/searchId.do?chebiId=CHEBI:17097
Hi Kissu. The top carbon in the 4th figure is sp2 because in taking on that hybridization, the overall structure is able to take on a lower overall energy level. By being sp2 it is aromatic. In other words, the carbon doesn;t become sp2 from sp3, it always exists as sp2 because that is the lower energy structure overall. I hope that helps!

Thanks for your work
🎉🎉
And I took both physics and chemistry as I'm a huge fan of them; moreover, math as well. I'm deeply enamored with calculus 😊
Amazing 👏 thank you so much. Love from India 🇮🇳
Good Luck bhai for Advanced!!
Best conceptual explanation. Thank you, our best teacher, from Ethiopia!!!
I wish I had a teacher like you . Your explanation is very clear and concept based. Thank u
I am seeing this video now.....and am in love with this teacher...
Wish you didn't stop making videos
But still the explanation was amazing
Thank you a lot
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Thank you sm this was very helpful for my final exams so grateful for you
Very nice teaching style....😍😍
Love from india🇮🇳🇮🇳
You are a very nice teacher
I wish I could have a teacher like you in chemistry .
Thank❤️you
Great explanation lots of love from INDIA 🇮🇳
I am confused. What is the circle and what are the two dots above example 4?

Nice to see one of your videos pop up in my notifications. Great job as usual; thanks for doing these.
Thank you!
Just Waowww... I understood it very well. Thank you mam. Love from Nepal🇳🇵...
Thank you mam. Your lecture help me a lot.
Love from India ❤❤❤❤
Nice explanation 👏.Really Ur teaching way is so nice😊😊😊👍
Thank you!
Short but conceptual video.
Amazing Video.
Thank you
Loved your way of teaching thank you
Could you post more practice examples of this, please?! Thanks for the vids!
Were you hoping for more videos or practice problems on the website?
Hi
If you were my professor i would repeat my class every year 😂
Just amazing the best till now mam❤️❤️👍👍
Thank you from Eastern Africa
Hey you are teaching so good . Where are you now
Easy to understand I hope i get chemistry teacher like you
How can we say wether a compound is 1 degree or 2 degree aromatic compound
I like the way you teaches us
Thanks♥️ it was easy after i came here I attempted every ques of my worksheet nd guess what they were all correct 🥺🥺🥺 thankyou thankyou
You should have approached physics wallah
Lol
But this teacher explained also well
@@Slownk698 yaah had prob in a topic only and the video duration was less also the explanation was fab ... beside this physics wallah is the best♥️
Soooo good 🙏👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don’t understand the last example. Why is sp2 and why are the double bonds counted when it’s not even close to that carbon at the top
This cleared everything. Thank you so much.
Can you help me find the different isomers of dibromodichlorobenze. How many isomers do it have.. thank you so much..
*dibromodichlorobenzene
Nice teaching...... This video cleared my doubts
How the 4th example is aromatic ?
Anyone can tell me?
Dear the 3rd criteria is not correct because benzene having even pair of electron what will u say in this case
Awesome 👍
From India 🇮🇳
Wow very brilliant work bundle of thanks ❤️
Love this. Thanks sm for the help!
In the first compound, isn't the carbon atom connected to the methyl group have sp hybridization?
If I am understanding your question correctly, the carbon that you are referring to is part of the ring. It is bonded to three atoms and has one double bond resulting in sp2 hybridization.
wow Amzing vedio
Your video very useful mam and your face reaction is nice mam
Just subscribed to u .....thank u for helping me alot in this one
aromatic compound has a property of pleasant smell, so if its not sp2 hybridized would it affect its selling property?
please reply
what is an sp2 thingy mabob?
I want to know that if there is a triangle and it have a double bound and also have loan pair of electrons , so is it an automatic compound???
Sarah..cyclopropyl free radical is aromatic or not with reason
Namaste Mam ,
How last figure become aromatic unless all carbon have same hybridisation or planar
SIMPLE AND VERY HELPFUL THANKS HIGHLY GRATEFUL SaraH
What a voice i loved it ☺
I LOVED THIS!!!!
Mam plz upload the video for sp2 and sp3 hybridization
Mam furan is a aromatic or not plz tell me
Thank you so much🎀
superb mam
From india mam ❤️

Where you from mam
Good job
Helped alot
watching this with a fighting beat behind it, I will beat the frick out my chem quiz tmrw
Is there any video for aliphatic compound? Where can I find it?
I do not currently have a video on aliphatic compounds specifically.
Tnx for explaining 🙏
Quite good...😀
Mam can u tell me in 4th figure that why one on top become sp2 from sp3 ?

very helpful I have to thank god for you
thanks you made this easy!
Thank you - happy to hear that.
had the test yesterday and knew how to do the problem!
Yay! Really happy to hear that :-)
good teaching
I'm confused with the last example
Can I help you clear it up?
Sorry - only just saw this - UA-cam didn't notify me. Don't know if you still need help on it, if you do, you email me at sarahchem.com@gmail.com?
You can explain to benzene totally basic fundamental
wow..that was very helpful.
عسل
Thank you so much
I think this is a bit wrong..
1) Cyclic
2) Planar
3) SP2 hybridized?
4) conjugated?
use 4n + 2 to determine if aromatic, if not anti aromatic.
Can you clarify your question?
@@sarahchem4219 Never mind, I thought your video was not including crucial details. I've listened, and meets the criteria I listed. My apologies.
Who know Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (king) from india🇮🇳
This was awesome
This is awesome......!!! :-)
Thanks, it's useful.
Thanks a lot.
Aromatic compound and organic reaction explain
But what is basic definition of aromatic compounds???
It signifies a particularly stable arrangement of pi-electrons within a planar ring structure.
@@sarahchem4219 Thanks alot now i am clear.
Very good
Thank you!
Thank you mam
TQqqqq❤
is canabis aromatic? for my research involving hebrew ceremonies during bible times.
Yet thanks for videos.
Thank you.
Best mam
Thanks💚✨
Hi
Tq soo much mam
thanks!

pretty helpful
awesome love u..
Hi mam
Thiophene is aromatic or not
Thiophene is functionally considered to be aromatic due to significant delocalization of loner pairs.
Mam I am Abhishek Kumar from India I like you mam
I am vijayan from india studied at bharathiyar university affil
And nice tech
Thank you!
Love u so much mam ummmmmmmmahhhh❤
I want difficult and more logical problems!!
More logical? Do you have an example of what you are meaning?
30 minute lesson compressed into a 4 minute clip, think about that
We did this in like almost three hours... I also cant believe that it has been summarised within four minutes
wow
