That intro is still fresh af and the graphics still look great tbh, a little dated but there's a heavy emphasis on Japanese charm in each pixel. I can feel the hype I felt as a child when I loaded this up for the first time swelling in me right now. Quickly followed by soul crushing agony as the game was way too complex for my smooth brain. Ahh sweet nostalgia.
I thought these were the best graphics of all time on the N64.. I remember my mother surprised me and my sisters with game.. It's truly a remarkable game.. Edited: I was a 11 year old boy... This game confused the hell out of me and I never beat it cause of the difficulty..
I made it there, and yeah, it took hours just to deal with one area. Even trying to mimic the online video guides ended up with me getting wedged in between my own staircases. The bomb jumping in the game truly was hair-pulling.
Damn....I was 11 when I played this game. OMG, the nostalgia slapped me so hard, especially for the Artemis fight. This game was so underrated. The best Bomberman I ever played. Games like this don't get made anymore.
This was my first N64 game. Thanks for doing this! Oh and Happy Holidays 😊 I got it on Christmas Day in 1997 via a scavenger hunt, along with the console. Probably my most memorable Christmas ever! I did a similar thing last year with my kids for their gifts. Thank you parents for being so loving, enginuitive and thoughtful!
Just finally found this game a few days ago at an antique mall in IN. Such good memories playing this back in '97'-'98 and I can't wait to dig back into it soon.
got this game for Christmas with my shiny new N64...the clerk at the store told my grandfather to buy this instead of Mario 64 for some reason! But still, that means this was the first 3d game I ever played, and I loved it so much that I played it to death for months.
Probably because it's better than mario 64 imo. Has a better soundtrack, has multiplayer, has better combat, but graphics aren't as good and game isn't as long.
I had no idea there was an alternate ending. Let alone a whole sixth area with bosses. Amazing. Thanks for the fond memories! This was definitely a comfort game.
oh my childhood, how nostalgic, i was about 3 yrs old playing my older brothers n64, i would always be up early waiting on him to walk out the door and play this all day while he would go to school, oh what good times !
I love this game! Takes me back to the 90s whem games had manual explaining the game, controls, characters etc. Music on this game is so damn good too. Shoutouts to anyone watching this in 2024!
Holy cow I played this one when I was very young, I know because I liked it SO MUCH but I couldnt remember it was on N64! Wow... it brings back so many memories of my dad and grampa taking me to the store and rent games, then going to the bar... ❤
I like the laggy explosions and how Red Bomber tripped and when a laser hit near Blue Bomber, it knocked him into somewhere else. When the explosion pillars went off, Red Bomber was just glitching.. Not bad for a 1997 game!
My mom just found an old pic of me playing this game when I was like 6 years old. The nostalgia almost brought tears to my eyes 🥺 I had to come back to see the old gameplay lol
This game had so many good repayable boss battles. Loved this game. Red Mountain: Stage 4 was my favourite. I used to like throwing a big bomb on its head, when it was doing the eye lazers as it would daze it, then you could kick a bomb in the body hatch and watch it explode.
Watch this makes me want to play it again and again haha! For me the best bomberman game but also the damn hardest due to the impossible bomb jumps and those damn gold cards!
I knew that I played this game around when I was ten years old but I don't remember what the gameplay was like. It's so nostalgic seeing this now. I can't believe that I beat this game at that age. That and starfox in my closet. I impress myself because I'm sure that my gaming prowess isn't what it used to be.
I remember I had this game as a child when I was around 5 or 6? And then it disappeared and I was so unhappy. Looked for it everywhere. And then years later when I was about 12 or 13, I asked for a Nintendo64 and Bomberman but got Bomberman Hero instead 🤦🏻♂️ Bomberman Hero was nice too, I created new nostalgic memories with that game!
Every other video game sidekick: “It looks dangerous, I’ll stay here while you go alone.” Sirius in Bomberman 64: “I’ve got a bone to pick with these jerks, I’m going in with you to F them up!”
Its funny on fridays as a kid me and my friend used to rent n64 games from blockbuster and we used to argue about renting this game all the time lol. Never played it, nice to see a longplay of it though. I do remember playing i think it was a multiplayer based one though where you rode giant rabbits and other minigames.
You brought back so many memories thank you. I never got through the lava world cause I didn't understand it as a kid but if I can get a hold of n64 and the game I'd like to retry it
as a kid i've never had the obsession to gather every single piece of gold medal and i finished the game but i didnt got the true ending and guess what, after all these years i just saw this video and scroll it to the last boss waiting to witness again the same moment i did witnessed as a kid and my jaw dropped when i notice that this is the true ending xD
I remember playing and loving this game so much, specially the second levels music, it’s takes me back every time i listen to it, i remember passing it but never 100 percent *SPOILER ALERT* so i never knew that Sirius was the final big bad.
I never beat the game when i was younger since I didn't know what the hell I was doing but I'll let you know I did play the multiplayer into the ground with my brother's!
Id love to play this on Nintendo switch , Always loved getting to the monsters and never beating except maybe the fish guy because I got lucky pumping balls into the water. but i looooved multiplayer with friends. liked the spider guy beat him a couple times as a kid never the machine fire guy - got to him once maybe dragon - maybe beat him once couple of the bad guys tribe downed - red - blue all separate blockbuster rentals should've been a proper character in smash also
Plot synopsis: -Sirius, in possession of the Omni Cube, is incredibly powerful. It's unclear what he does with this power, but he seems to be a bit of a dick and likely abuses it. -Altair, Regulus, Orion, and Artemis steal the Omni Cube. Unfortunately they are no better than Sirius; perhaps even worse. They use its power to invade other planets. -Altair and his gang set their sights on Bomberman's world and begin their assault. (Motive? They seem to be able to suck the "energy" out of the planets they conquer) -Sirius doesn't give a f about Bomberman's world, but he enlists Bomberman's help in repelling the invasion in hopes of taking down Altair and reclaiming the Omni Cube. -It works. At the moment of Altair's defeat, Sirius takes the Cube and kills Altair. He then reveals to Bomberman that reclaiming his power was his only concern. He then decides he'll destroy Bomberman's world on a whim (dick move but okay). -Bomberman confronts Sirius. Mid-fight, Regulus arrives and destroys the Omni Cube. Now weakened, Sirius is no match for both Bomberman and Regulus and is ultimately destroyed. -Regulus drops Bomberman off. Despite their brief team-up, he reminds Bomberman that the two of them are still enemies and they will one day settle the score (Bomberman did kill his leader and all of his comrades after all). Even still, Regulus tells Bomberman to take care of himself and departs.

This is a really different Bomberman game but it had such cool multiplayer.
Such simpler times. I remember my mom renting this for me from Blockbuster. Loved waking up early just to play this.
Dam blockbuster we're some dinosaurs out here
Exact same 🥰 so nostalgic
you really need to breed some blonde blue eyed babies and keep them like that for all your future lineage. do it before its too late
THE 90s WERE GOLDEN!!!!!!loved playing this game with my cousins!!!! SO MANY GREAT N64 GAMES!!!!!!
Dude calm down
yesss loved playing this with my friends :]
Modern day is far superior. I can play every game that had come put and in better quality
@@silversonic99 games were more creative in the 90s.
ps1 > n64
This game is an overlooked gem of the N64 area. It's amazing how lovingly crafted everything is, and the music is still great!
The multiplayer in this was so damn fun
That's a fact!
Omg we would fight each other over this lmaooo my nephew would get some bad I loved this game good memories
Yeahhh!! Lots of memories of this with my cousins and friends growing up ❤️

Getting mega flashbacks to when I was 9ish. Very good memories. Couldn't beat it without gameshark but the Sirius twist was truly satisfying as a kid
I was 9 or 10 as well.. crazy how this was so long ago but feels like yesterday! I loved this game..

The multiplayer was superb, that shit turned friends against eachother
Got this gem as a Christmas present. Good times, good times.
Always loved the soundtrack to this game
Damn, Rainbow Palace looks like perhaps the most infurating stage I've ever seen in an N64 game. Glad I never got that far as a child.
I made it there, and yeah, it took hours just to deal with one area. Even trying to mimic the online video guides ended up with me getting wedged in between my own staircases. The bomb jumping in the game truly was hair-pulling.
Hands down the best Bomberman game of the entire franchise. Something so uniquely wonderful about this game.
damn that level and puzzle design. really creative stuff there in the first stage
Damn....I was 11 when I played this game. OMG, the nostalgia slapped me so hard, especially for the Artemis fight. This game was so underrated. The best Bomberman I ever played. Games like this don't get made anymore.

This belongs in the Switch N64 Expansion pack with GoldenEye.

goated soundtrack and sound design in general, got such a rush of nostalgia watching this
Can we bring this back on the switch-_-
Yes!!! That would be amazing 👏 if they would just not make it only a top view bomb game like they did on the ps3
I remember the older Japanese kids playing this when I as a kid and for some reason it's always been tucked away in my memories
I loved this game! All the costumes! Sweet multiplayer battle mode. Nostalgia overload ahhhh
I just randomly remembered after all these years that I could never beat this game as a kid. So I’m here to watch to see how it’s done 😄😅
My mom just found an old pic of me playing this game when I was like 6 years old. The nostalgia almost brought tears to my eyes 🥺 I had to come back to see the old gameplay lol
Takes me back to that Christmas morning when I played this and my sisters were playing their gift, the new Spice Girls CD in the background.
This game is a puzzle i never got far because i didn´t get all the mechanics. Need to find this and finally play through.
The Final Boss music sounds pretty intense
This game had so many good repayable boss battles. Loved this game. Red Mountain: Stage 4 was my favourite. I used to like throwing a big bomb on its head, when it was doing the eye lazers as it would daze it, then you could kick a bomb in the body hatch and watch it explode.
Such an amazing intro. And 4 of those characters turn out to be big characters. Blue and Black bad guy, flying guy, and Bomberman.
I forgot about this game. We had some good times with this.
Love this game played multiplayer with the fam when I was younger bring back millions of memories
This game always gave me the vibe of like what a Mario RPG would have been like for the N64 🤔
Watch this makes me want to play it again and again haha! For me the best bomberman game but also the damn hardest due to the impossible bomb jumps and those damn gold cards!
Green Stage has the most memorable song of all the game

Regulus is a badass.
Stacking those bombs up was hella difficult back in the day...
The need to remaster this and release it for switch with online play. Instant buy
I like this game, greetings from Guaranda, Ecuador.

Bomber man 64 and hero will always have my heart in the bomber man series and also one of the games in the Nintendo 64 era
Omg, pure nostalgia right there!
It's so cool ! 🧡
To get the true ending you habe to collect 120 gold cards
Like Super Mario 64
I used to go over to my friends house and play this with him. We would take turns trying to beat it. Good times.
I swear this is the most underrated game ever
The music is so good.

I could never figure out how to beat the rainbow palace first stage. Good to see the true ending.
My childhood.
Love this game
This was my first game i played on my.n64 😊
The alternate ending really throw me for a loop when I was child. Wtf!
I used to have this game I could never beat stages because I couldn’t figure the use of certain obstacles but the multiplayer was the best and comical
THE NOSTALGIA !!!
The single player campaign was so good, it shouldn't have been
YO WTF I NEVER KNEW THE DUDE WAS EVIL. I DONT THINK I EVER PLAY PAST THE FAKE LAST BOSS!!
Id love to play this on Nintendo switch , Always loved getting to the monsters and never beating except maybe the fish guy because I got lucky pumping balls into the water. but i looooved multiplayer with friends.

Our first betrayal :( little kid didn’t know how to handle it
Bomberman 64 is something that died in me along time ago
I played this straight after my uncle stuck his finger in me, I pretended to be in the game so I couldn't smell his finger.
Hopefully this comes to n64 virtual console
