Man can't help tearing up!!! Memories!!! Played this for endless hours with my daughter and her friends! She was 11! She's 31 years old now!!!!! I'm 67 now and just got back with her dad after almost 20 years!!!! Wow! Life!
I wonder is this nostologia tearing in the eyes memories thing really because these old games are better, or, because it was an early thing we tried playing with (and had fun after trying it of course lolz)? For me it seems to be, while both, mostly more cuz the games are good though. I see the brain more as an infinite thing able to expand whenever, how could (bear with me until sentence #2) one be limited to birth experiences :) ? Yes, the brain does learn foundation this way, but, you still have control over what is the seed. If that makes sense.

Every so often you can hear what sounds like the bears go down to the woods today (?)(nursery rhyme) and it sort of reminds you of a whimsical time in your childhood. The amount of playthroughs I had as a kid. I still listen to the soundtrack at work to keep me focused and it calms me down. I just found it on switch and started yet again ANOTHER playthrough. I know there’s emulators but they didn’t do it for me on the pc

So many childhood memories ❤ couldn't resist so got the console from the attic and ordered this and banjo tooie, as I couldn't find my original carts 😔 but on the bright side, they should be here Saturday and I can't wait 😊
Great game....i had NES and SNES but when i went to stay over at my cousin's house during school holidays he showed me his N64 and we played this great game, all i wanted after that was a N64...great times when i got my N64, mario 64, mario kart, goldeneye, wwf no mercy...had some great times
Nearing 50 and I am currently enjoying this masterpiece, playing this without a guide when I was younger was just as mind bending as it is now, I can only hope for another one! 10/10 my perfect kind of game
I once got on a face time call. I was obsessed with this game and thought I should show my freind me playing it over a call. So I called her and my impulse issues acted up. My fingers and hands moved a bit and I hit a button. And that was the day my freind watched me accidentally delete my 27 hour 45 minute 13 second save. I needed one more note before the boss battle. The amount of breakdowns I had over clanker in that world. The amount of effort and dedication. The amount of love and determination. The amount of hope and inspiration. Just Just gone. I’d loved this game since I was little and it gave me such a huge rush of nolgista. My whole save from my play through of the game as a teenager instead of a little kid with my dad was gone. And I was so shocked I didn’t even have the capacity to cry over it. I just kinda sat there. It felt like there was an elephant crushing me. I’ve yet to finish the game, I needed 1 note but, y’know that world is gone I started again, I’m on click clock woods. I’ve lost a lot of inspiration to play. But I still hold it dear to my heart. Banjo kazzoie may not be very well known anymore, but it is one of the founding pillars of my childhood and my future. I remember being around 6 and playing it on our Xbox 360, thinking I was god teir at the game even though I never beat treasure trove cove. Me and my ex Girlfreind used to talk about playing it all the time when I got back into it. I hope one day one my kids are around the same age as I was, I can take out whatever new console there is then and get a game that you could practically blow dust off of. I want my kids to be able to experience banjo kazzoie too. And to be honest, I think everyone should.
Me and my nan would spend most evenings playing through this on the N64 with the walkthrough book guide, never managed to complete it but have absolutely loved watching this and unlocking so many memories!
I didn't quite finish it either. I got to the very, very end and gave up. Took me 6+ years. I'm currently trying to beat it once again, and actually beat the ol' witch. Kind of forgot how hard it was, lol.
To my surprise the game has held up well! I remember playing this in the late 90’s and I haven’t seen it since then. Back then tv’s weren’t as good as today so the graphics looked even better. This was also the first game I bought with my own money from one of my first jobs as a teenager. Such a great game! Thanks for the content!
Walkthrough: Controls: A: jumps X: attacks B: back Y: look LB/RB: press or hold the camera behind banjo LT/RT: crouch(activates Special moves) Start: menu Back: none Spiral mountain: Empty Honeycombs: these will increase your health by 1. But you need 6 of these to get another Honeycomb added to your health bar. Empty Honeycomb 1: on the tallest tree stump in the series of stumps where you learn how to jump Empty Honeycomb 2: attack the enemy atop the soils to get this one. EHC 3: dash attack all 4 boulders. EHC 4: dive underwater to the cave found under the small bridge. EHC 5: Climb the tree closest to the waterfall to grab this one. EHC 6: jump on the platforms leading to the waterfall. Moves: If you did select to learn the moves, go to the molehill to learn all the moves before proceeding: Molehill 1: by banjo house Molehill 2: near molehill 1(camera) Molehill 3: in the tree stump area(jump) Molehill 4: by the ramp into the water(swimming) Molehill 5: by the tree(climbing) Molehill 6: in the boulder area(dash attack) Molehill 7: atop the soil area(attack) Molehill 8: atop the mountain Gruntilda lair: Jiggies: these fellas are needed to enter levels by inputting them on puzzle boards found throughout the lair Puzzle boards and borded doors to levels: the puzzle boards: where you need a jiggy to input them. The amount needed depending on how empty the board is. Take a close look at the board and it will tell you how many you need. The boards are 4x4 grid. Meaning there are 16 pieces in all to fit the board. But only 1 piece is missing for the 1st level. But more puzzle boards will have more missing pieces. Borded doors to levels: these cannot be opened so simply. You need to look for a puzzle board matching that level within that level. Look at the structure very well. And listen to the music too to see which lobby matches up. 1st floor: Jiggies 1: found by the wall to your left when entering Quest: finding the puzzle board and level door for 1st level Go to the cave on your right when entering the lair. And as the scenery changes, the music does too. Remember that when solving a puzzle board, you want to match up the music and board to the level you wish to open. This board has 1 missing. So press a to put 1 in. That's it and the door opens. Now you need to find the level door. But since its nearby, go ahead and enter. Mumbos mountain: Notes: these notes helps you advance the lair. Note: there are magical doors preventing you from getting further into her lair. You find these in levels you opened. And on the n64, they reset but doesn't on Xbox. you need to grab as many as you can before leaving. Warning: upon dieing or leaving, your notes reset(only on n64 version). Jinjos: these are only in levels too. Find all 5 of them to gain a jiggy. But they reset regardless if your on Xbox or n64. About the regeneration: almost everything in the level does not regenerate until you die or leave the level. Honeycombs and jiggies doesn't ever reset. The notes doesn't ever reset on Xbox. Once you kill the enemy, grab a honeycomb, egg or feather, they are all gone until you die or leave the level. Also the events will reset upon dieing or leaving the level. For example: if you defeat a boss or solve a puzzle, the boss comes back and puzzle resets completely. It applies to both Xbox and n64. There are a few areas: Entry area Ape boss area Stones area Ant tower area Huts area Jiggies: 1) all 5 jinjos 2) have the ape throw oranges on the orange stones. 3)give the orange to little monkey 4)defeat the ape. 5) red mountain 6) between the stones 7) ant tower 8) totem 9) huts 10) on mumbo skull eye. Jinjos: Pink: at the entry area atop the stump by the green mountain.

Ah, you should really play it! It is indeed fun, and it'll keep you entertained for a good few hours. You should also play banjo tooie and banjo kazooie nuts and bolts.
@@destroyermcw626 And it’s better than the switch port in that the Xbox version runs at 4k on one x and series x, has widescreen support, and introduced some qol improvements such as when you collect notes they stay collected which is a huge advantage over the og as it majorly cuts down on the tedious grind imo

@@destroyermcw626 I actually grew up with the n64 version but I still admit the Xbox version is superior. I have no interest in getting the nso expansion pack to play an inferior version of the game. Also, all these people who for years have refused to get an Xbox to play banjo again on rare replay cuz “It doesn’t feel right Nintendo is Banjo’s home”make me cringe. Omg I remember playing this with my little brothers all the little Nintendo 64 cartridges. So many memories I’m definitely going on hunt for one of these consoles 😢❤
I remember staying up all night with a friend screwing around in Treasure Trove Cove. The next morning, I was sad that he left, so I turned the game back on and retraced our steps from the previous night in TTC. I was 10 then, and I turn 34 this month. It's surreal to think that, no matter how much we change, the game remains the exact same as it was when we were young.
My sister and I played this obsessively as kids! I don't think we ever beat it 😂 We were easily frustrated back then 😏☺️ This brought back so many fun memories. Ty! ❤
I miss having the time to play games like this. I don't actually have many more free hours after work now than I would have had back then. But as an adult it seems like I have less free time as every year passes. It's fun to think about old games like this one I used to enjoy.
but you still have some free time, no? one thing you should never quantify is free time. so many games, so many tv shows and movies, but really we just wanna play banjo kazooje. what's wrong with that?
@@tjr930 nothing but nowadays I have other hobbies and I've lost interest in gaming for the most part. Occasionally I will go back and replay some of the old games but I've honestly found that a lot of them don't really hold up. I think Mad Monster Mansion was my favorite level, followed up by Rusty Bucket Bay. One of very few games I played through multiple times as a youngster. Remains my favorite video game of all time.
you're the first person i've seen that likes rbb
Thank you as always Pack Attack for another full walkthrough of another legendary and prestigious game. Banjo and Kazooie is fantastic.
It's Banzo-Kazooie not Banjo and Kazooie 🤦♂️.
New subscriber coming to this channel. So glad you aren't like the other game players i've come across who ramble so much rubbish but with you, people can hear exactly what gets said in game. Much appreciated thanks
ah another game i couldnt beat when i was younger. Too hard for my young mind at the time
still hard for me lol
The amount of playthroughs I had as a kid. I still listen to the soundtrack at work to keep me focused and it calms me down. I just found it on switch and started yet again ANOTHER playthrough. I know there’s emulators but they didn’t do it for me on the pc
One of the all-time, if not the greatest, video games ever created.
No. It's the worst collect-a-thon ever made actually.
True.

This video is a time capsule of my gaming life. I forgot about this game and all the memories with me and my brother trying to complete this. Much love to you.
Omg memories!!! I was so young. And it was just a awesome game. Never beat it though. But the music and the sound makes me smile.
Nearing 50 and I am currently enjoying this masterpiece, playing this without a guide when I was younger was just as mind bending as it is now, I can only hope for another one! 10/10 my perfect kind of game
thank you for the nostalgia hit my friend
The way you made such easy work of Clankers Cavern was masterful
I once got on a face time call.
I was obsessed with this game and thought I should show my freind me playing it over a call. So I called her and my impulse issues acted up.
My fingers and hands moved a bit and I hit a button.
And that was the day my freind watched me accidentally delete my 27 hour 45 minute 13 second save.
I needed one more note before the boss battle.
The amount of breakdowns I had over clanker in that world.
The amount of effort and dedication.
The amount of love and determination.
The amount of hope and inspiration.
Just
Just gone.
I’ve yet to finish the game, I needed 1 note but, y’know that world is gone
I started again, I’m on click clock woods.
💙💙
I agree. That brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.
Favourite game when I was a kid!
So was mine!
Me and my nan would spend most evenings playing through this on the N64 with the walkthrough book guide, never managed to complete it but have absolutely loved watching this and unlocking so many memories!
I grew up on the 360. And one my (many, many) favourite memories of it was playing this gem of a game. Still one of my top 5 of all time, it’s so good
5 minutes of gameplay and I don’t see what I loved about this game so much. Thanks for the nostalgia. 👍
I am Brazilian. I really don't know how I did the Grunthilda's quiz as child, without speaking English, more than 20 years ago. Good good memories!
Even if i didn't finish it, i had a great time and beautiful memories with this game
I didn't quite finish it either. I got to the very, very end and gave up. Took me 6+ years. I'm currently trying to beat it once again, and actually beat the ol' witch. Kind of forgot how hard it was, lol.
The nostalgia is killing me. This game was the best Xbox 360 game in the whole of mankind😊
??? This is N64 originally fyi
Was gonna say
Zoomers
This gives me a reason to play it again. Now I have to see this 360 remaster
I never realized they didn't have to actually fight Grunty. Tooty basically said go back up there and kill her, savage 😂
Walkthrough:
Controls:
A: jumps
X: attacks
B: back
Y: look
LB/RB: press or hold the camera behind banjo
LT/RT: crouch(activates Special moves)
Start: menu
Back: none
Spiral mountain:
Empty Honeycombs: these will increase your health by 1. But you need 6 of these to get another Honeycomb added to your health bar.
Empty Honeycomb 1: on the tallest tree stump in the series of stumps where you learn how to jump
Empty Honeycomb 2: attack the enemy atop the soils to get this one.
EHC 3: dash attack all 4 boulders.
EHC 4: dive underwater to the cave found under the small bridge.
EHC 5: Climb the tree closest to the waterfall to grab this one.
EHC 6: jump on the platforms leading to the waterfall.
Moves:
If you did select to learn the moves, go to the molehill to learn all the moves before proceeding:
Molehill 1: by banjo house
Molehill 2: near molehill 1(camera)
Molehill 3: in the tree stump area(jump)
Molehill 4: by the ramp into the water(swimming)
Molehill 5: by the tree(climbing)
Molehill 6: in the boulder area(dash attack)
Molehill 7: atop the soil area(attack)
Molehill 8: atop the mountain
Gruntilda lair:
Jiggies: these fellas are needed to enter levels by inputting them on puzzle boards found throughout the lair
Puzzle boards and borded doors to levels:
the puzzle boards: where you need a jiggy to input them.
1st floor:
Jiggies 1: found by the wall to your left when entering
Quest: finding the puzzle board and level door for 1st level
Go to the cave on your right when entering the lair. And as the scenery changes, the music does too. Remember that when solving a puzzle board, you want to match up the music and board to the level you wish to open. This board has 1 missing. So press a to put 1 in. That's it and the door opens. Now you need to find the level door. But since its nearby, go ahead and enter.
Mumbos mountain:
Notes: these notes helps you advance the lair.
There are a few areas:
Entry area
Ape boss area
Stones area
Ant tower area
Huts area
Jiggies:
1) all 5 jinjos
2) have the ape throw oranges on the orange stones.
3)give the orange to little monkey
4)defeat the ape.
5) red mountain
6) between the stones
7) ant tower
8) totem
9) huts
10) on mumbo skull eye.
Jinjos:
Pink: at the entry area atop the stump by the green mountain.
Wow, that’s a game of my childhood ❤️
Who's here hoping Rare Replay gets released on Switch?
I like Bottles the mole
He's my favourite Banjo kazooie character
Kazooie:He was not the favorite character in the game anyway
It won’t be on switch because Microsoft bought rare so now it won’t be on other consoles
me actually
THE OPENING CUTSCENE WAS THE BEST PART OF THIS GAME
I really hope they make a remaster of this on the switch
Maybe on Xbox
If they remaster it (which they probably won’t) it’ll probably come out on Xbox since Microsoft owns rare
@@TheMightyHugoman The closest thing we have to a remaster of Banjo-Kazooie is Yooka - Laylee. A worthy successor imo.
We’re getting it back on n64 online!
your wish came true!!! (well kinda lol)
Remember playing this game a lot. They did a great job with the music on this game 😊
Never played this game as I didn’t own an N64 but was very much into all the Donkey Kong games on snes. This looks super fun too. Love the soundtrack and the sounds they make when they talk 😂
Ah, you should really play it! It is indeed fun, and it'll keep you entertained for a good few hours. You should also play banjo tooie and banjo kazooie nuts and bolts.
Just get it on Xbox
@@destroyermcw626 And it’s better than the switch port in that the Xbox version runs at 4k on one x and series x, has widescreen support, and introduced some qol improvements such as when you collect notes they stay collected which is a huge advantage over the og as it majorly cuts down on the tedious grind imo
@@Ariesguy41499 Yep and yes yes and I’ve never played the N64 version even when having the 64 but knew it was a N64 game but better looking. Also I 100% on my first try on 360 and saying this game easy.
Like gurl, banjo has been an Xbox ip way longer than it was ever a Nintendo ip so get over it lol 😂
Man, I miss this. Thank you so much.
use to rent this game on N64 years ago, didn’t have a clue how to play it all the way. it was fun regardless.
fullありがたい!画質もめちゃくちゃ綺麗だし。ありがとうございます。
Just gonna skip right over 1:42:57 like we wouldn't notice, huh?
lol, did he cheat?
Omg I remember playing this with my little brothers all the little Nintendo 64 cartridges. So many memories I’m definitely going on hunt for one of these consoles 😢❤
This game seemed so much harder in the 8th grade. Lol
Don’t worry, it’s still just as hard as your remember! This person is just pro
Omg the memories that just came flooding back to me watching this 🥺🥺😩💜
loved it, warm feeling in my heart. played it as a child/young teen and loved it so much
I remember staying up all night with a friend screwing around in Treasure Trove Cove. The next morning, I was sad that he left, so I turned the game back on and retraced our steps from the previous night in TTC. I was 10 then, and I turn 34 this month. It's surreal to think that, no matter how much we change, the game remains the exact same as it was when we were young.
Big news to all wishing that games was still around like me it’s coming to the Nintendo switch and I can’t wait
I love this game so much! I love all the music on each level too and how it changes…I can go on and on….one of my favs on nintendo64
This game was part of my childhood, I hope it comes to Switch!
Me 5o
Me to sorry
It's property of Microsoft, it won't.

I can’t believe I used to sit down for hours, sober, and play this as a kid. 😂 this would be so much more fun now.
This is a certified GUH HUH classic.
My sister and I played this obsessively as kids! I don't think we ever beat it 😂 We were easily frustrated back then 😏☺️
This brought back so many fun memories. Ty! ❤
Thank you 👍
Nostalgia is such a blessing and a curse….the memories this invokes are great but than i feel like i yearn for them again….thank you youtube
I think the perception of free time had to do with going to school for fewer hours than I work, and also traveling to and from school on the bus with my friends. We're more isolated now as adults.
Played this with my neighbour so much when it came out. Memories !
To be honest, a game this great is quite rare
That's Rare's slogan, making games you wanted to see into reality.
I really remember playing this game on the Xbox 360 when I was little. It became very popular.
Anyone in 2024?

Christmas of 98 will always hold a special place because of this game. It’s one of only a very few I can 100% easily countless times.
Play this when I was 4 years old and it was freaking lovely I even beat the boss but it kind of took like 15 hours for me cuz I couldn't even know the instructions yet so I read the instructions to know what the game is about so I think it's pretty cool actually and you're kind of like a professional
Lol. Took me 6 years. I played it every day or so, gave up for a few months, then went back to it. I never actually beat it, only got to the end. Fun times.
Never got to play Banjo and Kazooie as a kid. I grew up with PS1. My first games were Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Banjo and Kazooie looks cool af.🙂
I love this game. But I've never played it :(
Use a emulator and a rom and play this in your cellphone
well if u 2 you buy the console and game you can fix dat
It's on gamepass. Thought I'd check it on here before downloading it.
I used to watch my mum play it as a kid
You should definitely play it. Very fun.
Man I'm about to cry😢😢😢I loved this game so much back in the days
