that 7% failure rate comes more frequently then it seems..i hate it.

You can and you have. You put the restriction of "not playing" till you get the shiny starter. Might get your shiny starer on the next soft reset OR on the 3,829th soft reset. Cheers
What are you talking about with high IV foreign dittos in sword and shield being hacked? 5 star raid battle dittos are guaranteed to have at least 4IV and can randomly have 5-6 IV. Austin John is not a hacker and he got a 5IV ditto with his foreign save file in Sword. This is really easy to find with minimal research, don’t talk about it if you don’t know anything about it. And high IV Masuda breeding in BDSP doesn’t require ditto you know, so calling it impossible is simply untrue. I have a foreign 5IV Lotad that I’m using to get a shiny Milotic. Again, look into things before making sweeping claims.
AJP has a hacked switch, uses cheating devices, and gets most of his information wrong. Can't be trusted.
Also 5IV ditto is an order of magnitude easier to get than 6IV. Crazy how you are such an idiot to deny reality. Do your research
@@Verlisify I have done my research. When did I ever say that it was easy to get a 6IV ditto? That one is unlikely at 1/1024 odds, but not impossible by any means, and with 4-5 star ditto dens you have roughly a 6.15% chance to get a 5IV one. But I guess that’s still too low for you, because you insist that they must be “hacked.” And again, you’re the one who said that Masuda breeding is “impossible” in BDSP and implied that Masuda breeding requires ditto. Really rich to say those kinds of things and call me an idiot. You’re the one who needs to do your research. Idiot. Also, maybe cite your sources on him hacking to get things. Because he showed the whole process of him getting that ditto, and it wouldn’t even really matter if he used hacked methods elsewhere, because that method he described to get high IV ditto does work. Seems like you’re just deflecting because you’re getting called out for saying stupid and incorrect things. If you like talking about these games so much then maybe learn a few things about them first.

8:30 You can do some wacky things actually if you have a separate system to trade with: you can simply have perfect breeding parents in your English save file, send them over to your Japanese save file, breed a bunch of Pokemon, and then go back to your English save file to see if they are perfect IVs, and then you end up having perfect foreign language IVs that you can use for Masuda Method.

Excluding breeding, would it be worth it to at least get some kind of radar chain (say 10) and just look for the glowing spawn? Seems like it would be better odds than the underground and isn't a random species.
It's only worth getting to a chain of 37 at a minimum honestly, otherwise Masuda method is just faster.

Example, fishing with old rod, you can get magikarp consistently. And if you encounter 40 magikarp, will the 1/99 chance of shiny applies to that on the 40th encounter? Or isit purely a thing only with pokeradar?

The radar doesn’t increase shiny encounter rate. It increases the chance of a shiny grass patch appearing.

It's the same bro although this time you can see the shiny Pokémon over the counter in oreborough. Been shiny hunting for a cranidos for about 8hrs nothing yet. Grab like 10 fossils from the underground so you can do 10 at a time and make sure you turn autosave off!

It's a made up idea by Verlisify, you can take them to sanctioned events even. Nobody has ever cared about hacked pokemon.
i feel the only way i can truly catch them all is to do what i did back when we had gameboys and ds's, and thats to get 2 switches so i can trade with myself, because it is really hard to find friends who have the time or even the opposite game to trade with you, even on discord no ones replying back (and idk how long until home fixes the cant move this pokemon *bug*)

How about Honey Trees? is it possible to keep the Pokémon shaking in the tree indefinitely so they don't disappear the next day in the mist of shiny hunting them? Like in the OG games you can swap your carts between the DS's to stop the clock so the pokemon doesn't despawn. Since our save files are now locked to our account and not the cart, is that method no longer viable?

I really wanted Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl so I could get Darkrai in Pokémon Legends Arceus and the shiny variants of the legendaries, but these games just look so bad. It’s unfortunate that they locked pokemon from normally being obtained in Arceus and shiny locked them as well…

Do you want to encounter the pokemon you want to chain first, then use the pokeradar? Or do you just use the pokeradar first and hope for the best that the pokemon you're trying to chain appears.
You first have to find grass you know that Pokémon spawns in. Then you use the radar and hope you get that Pokémon

every normal grass encounter is set for 1/4096, even if you find the same mon over and over itll still be at a 1/4096 unless you're using the pokeradar

If your pokemon is english you can breed it with any other pokemon besides an english pokemon. For example: you have a Japanese ditto, you can put that together with an english Bidoof. But if the Bidoof is japanese as well then the masuda method odds will not work.
I have a shiny jpn ditto I traded for it only has one IV do you think its hacked because I used it to breed a lot of shinies
When you say you get an extra roll on the shiny odds, are you saying that it's the equivalent of finding 2 of that Pokémon at once, both of which have the full 1/4096 odds? That's how it sounds, but that's not the same as 1/2048 odds 🤔

All my shinies have been random or hacked. The radar method is busted and it’s just not worth it. I’m currently at close to 12 hours of trying to get more than 10 chain of Beldum, unsuccessful. So I’m breeding from now.
I Find after 5-10 chain catches, the crass don’t move anymore. Does it mean the chain as been broken or do I need to recharge pokeradar after a few tries?

Now the question is, does the capture/defeat method increase the shiny odds of a specific Pokémon? For example, I’m going for a Budew and defeated Budew around 200 times, so the chart that I have says the odds should be 1/1024. Does this hold true?
