I was there today. On James Bond Island. Iconic. Was there for about 45 minutes. Enough to walk in the steps of Christopher Lee and Roger Moore. It's mad how tight it is at the top. To think they flew a seaplane through it. Best trip i have ever been on. Hands down
I am going there next Friday!
this is an absolute masterpiece video, I have lived in Thailand since 1996 and often wondered about these location. Great to see there are people who have the passion and determination to dig this deep! Hats off guys!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
The sheer amount of determination and perseverance needed to hunt for these specific filming locations from decades ago is just PHENOMENAL!!! You guys are seriously AMAZING!👏👏👏👍👍👍
Superb episode, some great information and painstaking work. The man with the golden gun, my personal favourite Bond film and 007
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed it!
Ahh... .."The man with the Golden Gun", the move that started my life-long love affair with Thailand.
Finding the spiral jump location is bloody ridiculous. I cannot for the life of me see how Google could help with such a massively changing city scape and landscape. Did not know about the neighboring islands used. I visited James Bond island in 1992, it was at that time, lovely and empty. A brilliant episode fellas.
Thanks Simon!
We ❤James Bond and had visit some places. Thank you for remember us👍
Awesome episode Martijn. I got the book for Xmas, and have been really enjoying it. Thank you!
Thanks Ray!
As people have already said, this is an outstanding episode. Fantastic dedication and research. Thank you
Thank you, Matt
We ♥️James Bond. And we had visit some places. Thank you for remember us👍
when I was a little girl I fell in love with this film and then (then) glamorous Roger Moore and Christopher Lee. I used to dream of going to that island and swimming in the same water as Scaramanga. Now I am flying out on Sunday and will be at the Bond island next Friday. This will be a dream come true. I'm also visiting Maya Bay where some of DiCaprio's The Beach was made
Incredible research! I visited the James Bond Island in 2011. Amazing place! I'll do it again!
Thank you
🎉🎉 wonderful video congratulations and greetings from Italy 🎉 I have been in Thailand many times i know and have been in some locations of the movie but with your video I discovered more. Good job!
Thank you!
Superb video, Martijn, and incredible work by Thomas G. I have the guide ready to go whenever we're able to visit Thailand. Can't wait to use it! :)
That's wonderful!
Very nice 👍👍👍
Really amazingly well done! Thank you.
Very interesting and informative Martjin. The way you blend in the movie clip with your video is really well done. I really enjoy your channel. Professionally compiled. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it 😊
They drive along the Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Rd on the way to the spiral jump, which is shown on the map. Although this road is now a dual-carriageway some of the original bridge parapets are still there on one side and have a unique design which matches the movie scenes such as when the car jumps up in the air traversing a bridge.
Amazing video. Well done.
Thanks!
Went to James Bond island yesterday! Fantastic spot, just a shame it’s over run with tourists
Yes, you have to get there real early to avoid the crowds
Dont forget knick knack!
It was pronounced Sy-Am not seeam
The Thai themselves pronounce it 'Seeyam' ;-)
. " a few dollars euros...... you can travel if your willing to lower your standards a bit" thaild tourism authority: thanks for that
Me: My pleasure!
Good job lads.
Thr stunt with the car was executed in Klong Rangsit at Tanyaburi district bridge. I visited the location in 1998. but big changes happened in this area, now
Contrary to popular belief AND the call sheets, it was not filmed at Klong Rangsit. It was the Rangsit area though, and the first mockup bridge was constructed there. But the jump stunt was filmed at Klong Song, as the video demonstrates.
