This is INSANE! The amount of detail and work that went into this..... unreal!
They could have got the time of day right, talk about a lack of effort! 😂
Exactly this
now, do a dial of destiny so i know where to never go!! but honestly, wow wow wow.....true content creator!!
Do you know what the word 'insane' means, Einstein? Try getting a new dictionary.
@@nickslick75 Get over yourself Nicky. We all did.
man, 4 decades later and this film still feels timeless. a pure action adventure cinema spectacle for future generations to enjoy
It's as close to a flawless piece of moviemaking as has ever been made.
Anyone aware that indy is a pedo
This was absolutely amazing work!!! How in the hell did you find all of these places?
was about to say the same,i loved it
Right?! Insanity, and perfection!
He went searching for the ark
@@diamond_dogs Hahahaha
@@diamond_dogs Yeah, but it's in a government warehouse/matte painting!
I am in awe of this. How you could find all of these places almost shot by shot 40+ years later is amazing.
My mind was absolutely blown watching this!! The attention to detail with camera positioning and time of day vs the movie footage. I cannot fathom the research and time it took to do this! Mind bogglingly impressive! I can't get over how little of the Tunisia towns and landscape hasn't changed since 1980. Friggin' boulders and rocks still sitting in the same places. Just can't get over this!
Funny thing is those boulders and rocks and towns most likely looked like that even well before the movies was shot too.
I bet the town hasn't changed much since ww2.
I have no idea how you managed to track down these filming locations all over the world and then flawlessly match up the framing for every shot, BRAVO my friend.
These locations have been known for decades. Also, as is stated in the description a lot of this was sourced from people who'd been there already.
@@ZiddersRooFurryThere’s always somebody raining on the parade. 🙄
Lucas and Spielberg were at the top of their game back then. I remember exactly how I felt when I first saw Raiders. And these clips bring back that same feeling. Damn , it was a good rollercoaster ride that summer.
I get that same feeling from their earlier films, such as "THX-1138" (original cut) and "Duel."
@@KutWrite If you watch other Lucas films, THX-1138 often appears as an Easter egg. And Duel ( one of Spielberg's first movies) which I think was made for TV, and it was also shown in theaters, was a great thriller.
Movies were better back then. 1990’s too. Not today.
@@gmar7836 you got that right.
That's right. Duel was made for TV. I remember the first time I saw it. And Spielberg and Lucas were known for the Easter eggs strewn throughout their movies.
The shot matching was stellar work. It belongs in a museum! Great job. Very entertaining and informative.
....it belongs in a museum....NICE
Congratulations on producing this masterpiece. Absolutely outstanding work and the level of research and detail that followed, I take my hat off to you. Brilliant work and wonderful content.
You take off your Fedora!! :-)
@@marksmithinspirationalspea3836 Ha! That would be more appropriate! 🤠
I was expecting a few locations and maybe a little explanation. This is absolutely remarkable! Not only the detail that went into finding the exact location in so many scenes, but even going as far as matching the camera moves.
One thing that blew me away is that you could remake the movie today with very little work outside of the set pieces, of course. (Note to studio heads reading this: DON'T DO IT. You can't improve on perfection.)
Incredible work! All the effort to match the locations in the exact angle seen in the film - amazing! Terrific job and very entertaining to watch!
I rarely comment on videos, but this deserves all the praise it can possibly get. Phenomenal work with lining up the locations with 100% perfect accuracy. Astounding work!
THIS is a service to humanity!! This was really well done and I thank you and your team for doing this.
Did you know indiana Jones is a pedo in the script
You are truly a madman. There never has to be another raiders filming location video ever
hahahahaaa!!!
Ain't that the truth!
Unbelievably haunting!
There are several real good 'then & now' channels but this is definitely top 3!!

And the other 2 ?
Herve gotta be in there..
@@hartley339 Yes, Herve was the first channel who got me into filming locations www.youtube.com/@HerveAttia/videos
Meticulously researched, and wonderfully re-enacted shots! Jaw-dropping stuff. You're a genius!
This is beyond incredible... The efforts, the travel - outstanding. Thank you very much.
How long did this take! Planning, Travelling, Filming ,editing etc it must have taken months if not years! Amazing work!
I'm from La Rochelle, and most people in there have no idea that Spielberg and Ford made one the best adventure movie of all time in their city. Congrats on the video !
Being a fan of this movie since 1981 and now found this.. I still have time to take my hat and boots and go to visit these places thanks to you! Really amazing work! THANKS
This is one of the best then/now videos I've ever seen. No annoying talking and such attention to detail!
I cannot explain how much joy this gave me watching this. Incredible work and clearly a labour of love. Thank you!!
how much joy did it give you? Can you explain?
UA-cam does not deserve content of this quality. The amount of time and effort that must have gone into this is absolutely insane.
Wow! This is next-level stuff in terms of Movie Locations’ videos: the way they all should be produced. Fantastic! Well done 🙌⭐️
Absolutely incredible how you're able to track down all these locations AND find the shot and make the shot!
Absolutely fascinating - amazing job!!!! Thank you for compiling this.
This is the best then and now filming locations video I have ever seen anywhere!!!! Fantastic attention to detail and the split screen is genius!!! Thank you!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Hands down the best Filming Location 'Then & Now' I've ever seen. Amazing work thank you.
Absolutely amazing. You found not only the exact locations, but also the camera angles, the camera movements, matched the lens for the location, and even the time of day. Incredible!!!
Kudos. This is, hands down, the best and most meticulous "Then & Now" videos I have ever seen.
Fantastic! Funny how at 6:57 that rugs are still hanging there on the right.. and they look very similar. Such an awesome job of lining up the shots. THanks!
My favourite film and I can not imagine the work and effort you put in to shooting the original locations, and panning of the shots, as you did. Incredible.
It's amazing how little things have changed, whereas the town I grew up in when Raiders premiered is almost unrecognizable from the way things looked there 42 years ago. Great work! Fantastic video!
I'm impressed at the amount of on-site filming locations from Spielberg, and you found them and lined them up.
Probably the best one of these videos I have seen. Even getting the interior of the actual Sea Plane used...insane. I hope Harrison Ford sees this video.
The best “then and now” I’ve ever seen. Unreal and just impressive work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The attention to detail and the level of effort required to locate, travel to, and flawlessly re-film these locations rivals the efforts of Dr. Jones himself to find and capture the Ark! Bravo, SPECTACULAR work! I'm sharing this with all my friends.
I've seen 2 of this guys then / now videos, and they are ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!
Truly amazing! The true setjetters know how much time and help is needed to find these locations. I salute you by taking my hat off!
Easily the best format for a locations video that ive seen, bravo, excellent work
By far one of the best if not THE best filming location video I've ever seen. Bravo sir, BRAVO.
Indy traveled all over the world, but somehow kept ending up in Tunisia...
This is an absolutely amazing project. Thanks for all the hard work, and congratulations on your success.
This is Brilliant! The way you moved your camera to match the original film just makes it! Lots of videos on UA-cam but this one stands out with no gimmicks but a lot of thought and work. Really enjoyed this!
I can't imagine how hard this was to get these shots!! Brilliant work!
This is pretty spectacular - and obviously a result of hard, persistent work! Thanks for sharing! Wow! 💥💥💥
How it's possible to get all these locations and shots is beyond baffling. Quite amazing.
One of the best videos I’ve seen on UA-cam. Amazing work.
This took a TON of dedication!! Well done!! Thank you.
Absolute best comparison video I've ever seen, I can really appreciate the effort gone in to this. Thank you.
Love watching these Then & Now filming locations of my favorite movies. Great job getting the Tunisian locations matched up perfectly. 30 years ago I was going to aircraft mechanics school at Oakland Airport and a bunch of us walked over to the museum at lunch. When the docent found out we were A&P students he gave us a tour of that Sutherland Flying boat, it was a great experience. Needless to say we were late getting back to class and our instructor was not happy!
I cannot believe what you did. So many people will not the the level of planning and detail needed to capture these shots to match the composition- let alone recreate the camera movement! NUTS. Congrats.
This is outstanding work! I can’t believe you were able to pull off the locations the way you did.
Thanks so much for sharing, its a great video! Its amazing how little has changed in approx 40 years. The canyon at the end, where Indy is about to blow the Ark, is that where R2D2 got electrocuted by the Jawas?
How does this video have only 4K likes? The amount of time that went into matching up all of these scenes is unbelievable. I wish all videos of shooting locations could be done to this level detail. Excellent job!!
Beautifully done. Amazing effort went into that. Thank you!
Awesome! What a grade of passion & an eye for detail. The cuts & frame-positionings are really awesome! 😃👌
Absolutely amazing. It’s like going back in time. Excellent work.
Wow. The time, the effort, what a FANTASTIC JOB! Awesome!
incredible work!....i find it amazing how these locations were found!.....mind blowing! :)
Genius. Even the camera angles and movement were matched perfectly. What a tremendous amount of work this must have been. Very, very well done!
This was some next-level stuff. My goodness you did an amazing job.
This is really amazing, the amount of time and effort that obviously went into this is staggering. Very, very well done. Thank you!
Easily the best "filming locations" type video on the net. Just amazing, lining up the shots on the same screen is perfect. Thank you.
This is so amazing!, One of the best videos that I have ever seen in UA-cam, you can see the very same camera angle and even camera movement!, Thank you very much for this!
This has to be the best and most thorough film location ‘then and now’ that I have seen - absolutely too marks! Please do more!
Out of all the different filming locations videos I've seen. This one is leaps above the rest. Unreal
This video deserves an Oscar for music and editing
Great job on finding the locations and showing how they look today
Great work finding these locations!
One of the best I've ever seen in this genre!
Congrats!
Thought it would be the usual then and now location thing but this blew me away, not to mention the captivating music! Well done!
Amazing. It has to be one of the best….then and now videos out there. 👏
incredible! Thank you & your team for making this.
This dude has a future in location scouting. Literally shot by shot. Unbelievable work.
Beautifully done, thanks very much!
Outstanding! Simply outstanding work and attention to detail. Thank you for making this happen.
Fantastic!! The absolute best "filming locations" video I've ever seen!!
I really didn't expect this to be so thorough.
Impressive. Well done picking locations with something recognizable, really cool to see the connection. Surprised how well preserved many locations are.
This man managed not only to find all these locations but also get the same angles from the movie. Insanely great work!
no way!
This is ridiculously well done. Strong work!
Simply astounding work! Kudos and thank you!
Incredible. Fantastic effort! Thank you.
Best then & now ever !!! Thanks for all the hard work
Beautifully done. That was amazing.
I didn't expect this attention to detail. extraordinary!
Just stunning, the amount of work and detail, really enjoyable to watch
Excellently done! Thank You for the time & expertise that went into this
Astounding! The amount of work that went into this video is hard to believe! When I try to do before and now pictures of historical Toronto for myself, I also try to get the framing, and focal length the same as the original shot, but that's just for a still picture. To do so for a moving picture is just mind-boggling! My deepest respect!
Just...wow. Great job. Us fans really appreciate the work that went into this.
Best "then & new" I've ever seen. Fabulous job.
Got to be the best " Then & Now". Just amazing, Well done.
Wow this is fantastic, one of my favourite movies of all time. This is my favourite filming locations video of all time
This is unreal! Completely accurate. Well done!
That is insanely perfect!!!! This must have taken so much work! Thank you.
Enjoyed the video! Loved the way you did the split screen.
Incredible job. Loved this
Wow 😮fantastic, the work you’ve put into this is incredible, many thanks, really enjoyed that and great for their to be a record of the locations of the film for historical purposes.
I would have been most thrilled to see that the location for the "I'm gonna blow up the ark" was still perfect and flawless and not disturbed by nature.
I LOVE these sorts of videos. So much fun!
