Darwin to Sydney on QANTAS in Economy

We catch a QANTAS 737-800 from Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory to Sydney. The crew were fantastic but the plane itself was a little tired. With all the reported issues with QANTAS lately, we were dreading this flight, but it turned out very pleasant, with wonderful crew and timely service.

My wife & I did the complete opposite, Mark. We fewl Sydney to Darwin (the last capital city that I had not been to in Australia). We flew Virgin (& as a surprise to me my wife booked us into Business Class - it was our 30 wedding anniversary.) Great experience & crew - since then I have avoided economy class! Anyway, after a couple of days in Darwin, we caught The Ghan to Adelaide - another great experience. Yes QANTAS, once The Spirit of Australia, has been getting a lot of bad publicity -some not quite justified. Anyway, it is nice to come home!

I was dreading QANTAS after all I’d heard, but they were much better than the US carriers. Plane felt a bit old though. I was way down the back as well but honestly it was ok.
