Tren Maya Cancun to Merida
We catch the brand new Mexican Tren Maya from Cancun Airport to Merida in Yucatan state. The stations are not complete, and they are located outside the main towns, but we like this modern, fast train.

Hyatt Regency Chicago - Hotel Review
Переглядів 1 тис.2 місяці тому
We stay at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago in the middle of winter. Our hotel status got us a very nice upgrade to a Millennium Suite, also known as a Presidential Suite. A luxurious short stay in a wonderful city, albeit in the coldest month of the year.
Rio Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. A Revival Underway!

The Rio Hotel & Casino is undergoing renovations, and its a great deal right now if you're a Hyatt member. Particularly if you're a Hyatt Globalist. This hotel is undergoing a revival and there's something special happening here! Please note, as of early May 2024 the huge Globalist breakfast at the Hash House has been replaced with a restricted menu for Globalists. I guess it couldn't last. #ri...
American Airlines Newark to Miami

We catch an extremely early flight on American Airlines from New York's Newark Liberty Airport to Miami International, and connect on to the Miami Metro-Rail. We scored a free upgrade on American.
Spirit Airlines Orlando to Newark
Переглядів 2373 місяці тому
We catch budget airline Spirit Airlines from the Disneyland hub of Orlando to Newark, New Jersey, one of New York's major airports. This is hands down one of the cheapest ways to get between New York and Disneyland. The flight is cheap and cheerful, and I think I'd do it again. If you're taking this flight, a pair of noise cancelling headphones may be a good idea.
Brightline Premium Miami to Orlando

We catch the Brighline from Miami Central to Orlando in Premium Class. It has been mentioned in the commwntS that the Boca station is served by some trains every day, but not every day. Please check the schedule. #brightline #train #trains #trainjourney
3 Airlines in Business Class - Kuala Lumpur to Newark
Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 місяці тому
We take 3 different airlines on a wonderful Business Class trip from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to Newark, New Jersey (USA). First, we take Thai Airways from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok in a Boeing 787-8, then an Eva Airways Boeing 787-10 from Bangkok to Vienna, Austria. Finally, we take a slightly older Boeing 767-300 from Vienna to Newark. All sectors were in Business Class, and I had some of the best...

We take an Airbus A330-300 from Sydney, Australia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is one of my best recent flights. The crew were fantastic, the food delicious and the overall experience was very pleasant. Music Credit: On a Sunny Day by Headlund
Malaysian Airlines Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta

We catch am Airbus A330-200 from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Jakarta. A pleasant flight, however KLIA Airtrain is out of commission, so that is unpleasant.
Watsons Bay by Ferry (Sydney, Australia)
Переглядів 2155 місяців тому
We take a ferry across Sydney Harbour from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay. We have fish and chips by the bay. This is a cheap way to see Sydney Harbour, the Opera House, The Sydney Harbour Bridge and one of the most glorious harbours anywhere. We have lunch at Doyle's, however were disappointed with some of the food.
HARS Aircraft Museum (Albion Park, NSW, Australia)

Thank you! I haven't been there in years, so it's nice to see how the airport & BART look now.
Dont bother XPT is dreadful slow ...noisy... last refurb in 2008.. no money but mention a tunnel to NSW politician yeas please
Greetings, enjoying your video. Question what app do you use to check speed of train? Thx
Thanks. I use an app called speedometer on my iphone - free with ads.
NJ TRANSIT has always been bad about keeping those windows clean on these trains
Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I wish they would try harder to provide good services and keep their trains clean.
@@TravelwithMark yes sir 💯 agreed
What time did you have to check in ?
I went there an hour before, but it doesn't seem like you need to be there that early. There's not much in the way of formalities
Thanks Mark. The wife and I are going to spend a few days in ocean city Maryland. This takes more than an hour off our trip and it looks relaxing. Kinda adds to our little vacation.
It's the reason I take it when I go to Rehoboth Beach. It's a long drive down through Delaware, and this is much more relaxing
Nice vid' what month was the trip..?
January 2024
Nice vid. Gives lots of great info as well as pretty shots of the beach on an ideal day.
Thank you. I try to give factual and honest reviews
Good video Mark. We Love Aruba. This month will be our 25th trip to the Island
I'm at the airport, heading there today 😀
@@TravelwithMark Lol that's great. We are a week behind you. Next Tuesday JetBlue 7am flight
@@TravelwithMark We stay on Eagle Beach at La Cabana
@arnopetersoneshotbbq haha, we will cross at the airport. We will be standing in the checkin line when you are arriving if things go with the usual timing
I would have liked to have viewed the rear restroom or lavatory in the back including the galley. Other than that it was an interesting video tape.
Thanks. Yeah those things are a bit cramped and I never made it down tbe back
I need to try the Cross Sound Ferry. I’ve only taken the Bridgeport Port Jefferson ferry to Long Island.
I preferred the CSF, but it's a long way out there to Orient Point!
20:19 Koenigsberg meatballs with white capers sauce and cooked potatoes
Of course delicious
Yes delicious
In East Germany it's usual, that the street food will be spiced with mustard from Bautzen (the mild one, the hot one is with paprika and can cause headache) or ketchup from Werder (initially a company for fruit juice).
The St. Thomas church is famous for the boy's choir.
Leipzig is famous for its trade fairs.
Starts with subway.
How many kgs of luggage can we carry for a single person ?
It's not strictly enforced by weight. The Acela though is targeted to business travelers and therefore is not great for luggage space. If you have a lot of luggage you're probably better taking a Northeast Regional .
This video brings back memories of riding the Southwest Chief in the early 2000s! Thanks for sharing! 👊😊👊
Glad you enjoyed it
What nice.....AirAsia CANCELLED my flight from Goal Coast to KL TWICE IN 2020 and NEVER refund the money 😡😡😡
Did you pursue the refund? Did you lodge a complaint with the regulator?
We see food and drink but no commentary about how it works. Is it free, what are the costs? Something to think about for your next video!
Thanks for the feedback Praveen. This was filmed during the pandemic, shortly after the lounge opened, and there was virtually no food and drink available. I should really do an update!
I’m going to it now
Nice day for a cruise! Enjoy!!!
15:50 minutes you fly over the My Regency area in Timor Island - Indonesia. I know the place where this plane flies
My next visit I hope to not just fly over. I will try to fly Singapore to Dili to Darwin. What is your Regency?
Same sockets in New Zealand
Don't agree that the in-room toilet is unsanitary. It's a lot more sanitary than sharing a toilet with other passengers. At least the room has been cleaned before boarding and you can keep it clean yourself; public toilets on Amtrak usually get dirty and stay dirty throughout the trip.
This train starts in Washington DC
I think about taking the business class to Vermont
You don't get much extra, but then again the price isn't much more.
Can I buy tickets minutes before traveling?
I believe you can, although I have not tried it. You can purchase an electronic ticket and show it on your smartphone
Great video, but your choice of music could be better. I almost got a migraine listening to your music.
How can we get to berlin airport to warsaw ? Which way does take shorter time? Train, flixbus, etc.
You can take the train from BER to any of the main Berlin train stations. I believe there's a Berlin East station that all eastbound Warsaw trains stop at.
Lovely video, thanks so much for sharing!! I'm moving to Montreal in a few months and will be looking forward to this journey, I just subscribed to your channel :)
Thank you for subscribing, and I hope you enjoy Montreal!
My partner and I would like to use this from Washington to EWR in October. As we'll be flying out of EWR we'll have suitcases instead of "carry on"., but can't see anywhere to put the cases? Is there luggage space anywhere for a large case?
You would be better taking one of the regular North East corridor trains, because a lot more of them stop at Newark Airport, and they have more luggage space. The Acela has some space, but it is more oriented towards business travelers with only carry-on luggage. The North East Regional is only slightly slower, and there is usually a business car compartment. All the business class gives you though is free non-alcoholic beverages.
Actually , the diesels are diesel electric locomotives. The final drive power is electric. It's it's own power station.
Amtrak, CN quietly cancel summer passenger train service between Montreal, New York How does this fit into the climate action ? Don’t drive use public transit lol ok ya good idea
Did they cancel the service for this summer?
Just letting you know the long periods of absolute silence is detrimental to the video.
Rode that train a few times. It’s so easy getting around. ❤
01:30... omg, that little girl jumping still has me nervous, and thia was 2 years ago. Lol...
The Mayan train destroys the Balkanization project for Mexico... Geographic mobility is vital to maintain the territorial integrity of a country. By taking away the train, which worked throughout the republic, under the pretext that "it was not profitable" they took away our geographical mobility, in this way they intended that the regions of Mexico, once isolated, would lose the feeling of identity with the others. They were already achieving it in the north, even this led to almost all the border states having cecessionist governments that... when the time came they would appeal to "corrupt centralism" to seek the first separation. But López Obrador came to remind us of the greatness of Mexico, to tell us that we are not lazy or corrupt, but simply that we have been poorly governed. This new nationalist, patriotic sentiment resonated loudly, to the point that when they desperately tried to advance the project, they could no longer find it. response from the people, it was already another Mexico. Now it's time to return the train, but how? If it started in the center it would support the discourse that appeals to "centralism", if it started in the north, in the event that there was no continuity there it would have stayed, it would not have advanced to the other regions. Starting it in the South was the best option, because it hurts the northern ego, "Why is there a passenger train in the underdeveloped south and not here?" This would inevitably lead the people of this region to demand a passenger rail network, thereby contributing to the interconnection of the entire country and the restoration of national identity. But it goes further... Now it extends to Guatemala, which will bring territorial integration between these two countries that in turn will give prosperity and well-being, but El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica will not want to be left out. This in turn opens the door to a possible peaceful annexation (something rarely seen in the world) of the entire Mayan area and later, in a scenario where Panama also collaborates, it could reach Colombia, which by then would already have its own. own passenger network too. The doors have been opened to the restoration of the territorial integrity of Mexico, but also to the definitive integration of all of America and all thanks to López Obrador. How can I not be proud of my president?o
thank you so much mark! this is soooooooo helpful for me!
you're welcome.
Nice way to travel on a very hot day Mark. It seemed to me that this was Mexico's version of Brighline in Florida without all the trimmings. I'm sure when it is finished it will be even more popular
Very similar. The Cancun Airport station will be very impressive when it's finished
Only one ferry has instant access to the elevator which is the MV Park City
Wonderful video! I'll be visiting KL and Singapore for the first time with my family in July. Where is the best place to purchase tickets online for this bus?
I believe it is through their website Transtar Travel. Be careful with the type of bus. You're looking for a Solitaire, nothing else. Not VVIP or VIP.
@@TravelwithMark Thank you Mark!
How many hours of flight from Singapore to Darwin? It's direct flight right?
Just 4 or so hours. Yes it is direct, but does not go every day. Some days you need to stop in Denpasar (Bali)
Nice vid, thanks mate. Do they offer any IFE options?
They did not.
@TravelwithMark what do they offer? Since they don't have IFE, do they have some magazines, books or any reading materials?
You need to bring your own entertainment.
OK so when you went on the free air train, how did you know where to get off at for the actual BART?? There was literally no signs
There are signs all over the place telling you where to catch the BART
Last question do they also say over the intercom that you’re reaching Embarcado? I did see like one little sign when you got off but I’m curious as to how you know your actually there it’s my first time going on this tomorrow and I’m super nervous, so I’m watching this video over and over again. 😂
It's all very clear. Signs are large and you have no danger of missing your stop. If I remember correctly, there's also an indicator board on the train as well. You have no worries about missing your stop. It's actually something I get paranoid about.
Thank you so much. I am so happy that I came across this video because it’s actually giving me the courage to do it. Otherwise a really really expensive Uber that I do not want to buy.
@hiimsaveyyyy9405 glad I can help! Please subscribe 😀
Nice view from up there!
It is indeed. Actually quite spectacular with the snow drifting down Wacker
how much is one way ticket to canberra?
It's about A$50, there's a small difference between Premium and Economy
@@TravelwithMark thanks!!
Happy you loved my home town!
Did I say love? As a New Yorker I find that a bit of a stretch 😀 Haha, yes it was great.
@@TravelwithMark "tolerated" then 😂😂
Wow, now that's an upgrade, Mark! I have only been to Chicago in winter, unfortunately, & yes the weather was always very cold & bleak. That was also an incredible breakfast - what a great way to start the day.
It was an awesome upgrade. There were a lot of flight problems, so we actually extended our stay an extra day. When you're on a good thing...
I'm European and I see so much potential in train travel in USA... I don't understand why there isn't already a massive high speed rail lines network. And it would be very good for the environment as well.
Distance and population sparsity. But you're right in that it could be so much better. Check out my Brightline videos. Brightline West has broken ground now and there's talk of a high speed link between the major cities in Texas. I'm in Mexico this week and rode the Tren Maya between Cancun and Merida. They've done a great job, and there's no real reason the US cannot do it.
I’m doing the same trip on the rail pass in August but I’m coming from Boston.. any tips or tricks you picked up during your travel
It's a long trip, take a break. If you can find 2 free seats together, there's a fold out section under the seat and, depending on your stature, you may be able to sleep curled up, but flat. Do think about breaking up the trip. It's long!
