Andrew Tate has been a highly controversial figure for some time. He was canceled and deplatformed in 2022, and he's been in jail for the past three months. Is he being rightfully treated by authorities? Or is he being ambushed by the Matrix? Either way, it looks like although he’s been punished physically and mentally, his brand has only grown in the eyes of his hardcore followers. Today we discuss the topic of the Streisand effect, through the lens of Andrew Tate.

To be honest I'm not so sure; an important thing to remember is Tate's brand has already reached the 'critical mass' level of relevance - as you said, at one point he was the most googled name on earth so it's safe to say that at the time of arrest his existence was not a largely unknown fact (unlike Barbara Streisand's mansion), and most people already knew about him, making the 'greater awareness' effect of the arrest less potent.
Instead the challenge that Tate faced at the time was instead how to _stay_ relevant; this was done primarily through the personality that attracted his fans to him, by remaining the 'idol' that young men wanted to follow. By taking that away (sending him to prison), the Tate brand, at least in my view, is much less influential as the only real means he has to communicate is through moronic tweets that don't really convey his actual charisma (and probably aren't even posted by him at all).
In any case it's really hard to predict which direction the internet masses go so I'll probably end up being wrong anyways

He'll probably follow the Kanye arc going through a series of controversies followed by a redemption streak and eventually going a step too far and becoming completely irrelevant to the main stream while maintaining a presence amongst the fringes of society that think everything is a conspiracy.

Andrew Tate knows that if you say certain things (which many people want to hear), you will get cancelled. He takes advantage of this, by openly saying politically incorrect stuff, to get lauded as being brave, which also fits into his "macho" image. He is already rich and influential, he can probably afford to be unemployable (which most people can't).
The Streisand effect has already worked for Tate in the past. When he got banned off of most sites, people would just repost his clips everywhere, giving him more notoriety. The media also criticised him, giving him more attention. Finally, because of his fame (and infamy), lots of people would debate him giving him more exposure. All of the things that were meant to hurt his career only helped. His fans will see of this as just "Matrix clockwork".
His arrest and the lack of transparency on the part of Romanian authorities also feeds into his "Matrix" narrative. He presents himself as a superhero, being persecuted for pushing the truth.
Finally, he is extremely materialistic, openly flexing his mansion, his cars, presenting himself as a playboy, etc which does appeal to lots of people. They want to be like him. But in the end, all of this is just a marketing tool to sell a clickbait course to broken young men.

That's probably the most unique take on Andrew Tate drama that I wouldn't really consider myself.
My take was that with evidence of Andrew's illegal doings would open eyes to how horrible person he is, but in reality it just fuels their believe that he's so cool and awesome that police or entire governments try to silence him.
Literally the same thing happened when OneCoin owner -Ruja Ignatova also called "Cryptoqueen" - ran away and disappeared from the face of the Earth with billions in various assets on fake crypto coin, some people who invested a lot into OneCoin in believe of Ruja's claims, they keep running the website during her absence in hope that she'll return some day.
Believe in things can genuinely overpower any rational thinking. No matter how much evidence you lay down in front of them, their believe will make them think that you're trying to attack them.

I think the issue with this is regardless of what you can do it will ALWAYS benefit Tate and his cause. You try to ignore him? That will just lead to more people who aren't aware of his shit to potentially become fans of his and eventually just come to ignore or support the takes Tate has causing his base to grow. You imprison or let him die? In that scenario he becomes news to people who dislike him and for his followers he becomes a martyr to the beliefs and ironically makes his base bigger for justice. This scenario would be a much more intense example of the drama that happened with Pikamee where, while it likely wasn't the only reason, she announced her graduation right after people were denouncing her for wanting to play Hogwarts Legacy. In this scenario regardless of Pikamee's opinion on trans people her design is used as a martyr against the transgender people by some of her most radical fans. In Tate's case its going to be even easier since his name and personality aren't being morphed into a symbol for his beliefs, they already were even when he was a free man.
No matter what people chose to do about Tate it would only lead to his base growing arguably since his beliefs are easier and more appealing then others. Basically fast food ideology.

I think Tate displays himself as a role model to young people, especially men. But by doing so will cause doing something that can go out of control. I mean, we seen how his misogyny encourages young men to harass or harm women, pushing the limit to the extreme, refusing to be educated in schools (because books are lame, according to him) and doing something they do not know it's illegal until they're caught. The thing that doesn’t fit tho is that his arrest isn’t an attempt to silence him. It’s based on his guilt. So there is no Streisand effect in regards to putting him in Jail. It may temporarily boost his brand, but once he’s sentenced to say 10+ years in prison his brand will dwindle and he will be forgotten. He will be unable to produce new content. His brand would have been more successful had he not been arrested in the end.

I only knew this man for saying He's never watched Star Wars before he reached critical mass relevancy (of course, in a very Tate manner, he contradicted himself a bit), and now he's in detainment set for charges connecting to an investigation that has actually take place is a bit of whiplash.

no to be honest I think you missed with this video. Andrew Tate didn't become a household name by telling boys about how to get rich quick or even talking about the matrix. he got the level of infamy that he has today though just saying everything and anything regardless of how it might be received and then doubling down on what worked which in this case was a pretty predictable misogyny and self help cross. combining something that people need(self help advice) and something that they want to hear(their secret misogyny is right and acceptable). if he has done a crime he deserves to go to prison for the crime and arresting him is the first step in that. I am one of the fabled Andrew Tate haters of which you spoke in your video and I for one have not starting questioning the existence of the matrix thanks to this trial. he of course deserves a fair trial and with the money he has he will undoubtedly get one.

If you are Romanian (conditional related to actually living there) then you know that the judges may be looking for a discreet but substantial part of the sweet money that Tate boasted as having in plenitude. Bribes, that the direct term. In corrupt countries this is done via your lawyers, who also take part of the alleged part that the judge may be looking for, what you can imagine makes for everyone taking his bite.
But as Tate may know that there are not evidence or proof for the accusations he may rather endure more days in prison than opening a money faucet that no one will close until they see that the water is completely drained. But who knows, corruption can go as far as to produce evidence out of someone's (literal) ass and decide that a "she said" is all the evidence is needed to send someone to jail and that could make miracles on easening wills.
If you are loud, mouthy person who is enamored of the myth you created about yourself and your wealth, you should know better than going to a country that is actually worse at handling judicial procedures than your own.

I totally love the fact that he specifically moved to a country with a lax judical system and then has to experience said lax judical system.
