Andrew Tate has been a highly controversial figure for some time. He was canceled and deplatformed in 2022, and he's been in jail for the past three months. Is he being rightfully treated by authorities? Or is he being ambushed by the Matrix? Either way, it looks like although he’s been punished physically and mentally, his brand has only grown in the eyes of his hardcore followers. Today we discuss the topic of the Streisand effect, through the lens of Andrew Tate.

To be honest I'm not so sure; an important thing to remember is Tate's brand has already reached the 'critical mass' level of relevance - as you said, at one point he was the most googled name on earth so it's safe to say that at the time of arrest his existence was not a largely unknown fact (unlike Barbara Streisand's mansion), and most people already knew about him, making the 'greater awareness' effect of the arrest less potent.
Instead the challenge that Tate faced at the time was instead how to _stay_ relevant; this was done primarily through the personality that attracted his fans to him, by remaining the 'idol' that young men wanted to follow. By taking that away (sending him to prison), the Tate brand, at least in my view, is much less influential as the only real means he has to communicate is through moronic tweets that don't really convey his actual charisma (and probably aren't even posted by him at all).
In any case it's really hard to predict which direction the internet masses go so I'll probably end up being wrong anyways
He'll probably follow the Kanye arc going through a series of controversies followed by a redemption streak and eventually going a step too far and becoming completely irrelevant to the main stream while maintaining a presence amongst the fringes of society that think everything is a conspiracy.
Pretty solid take but that part about going to be wrong anyways really be like that
The velief in the matrix is legitimized with Tate's arrest and Tate maintained a core fanbase. If the 180 days are reached without Tate being convicted, that would reinvigorate Tate's brand to the point that we never saw before.
@@fatboyRAY24 So Tate will get released and do something else which will cause him to be irrelevant or is he already irrelevant now?
Well I mean you're not wrong! He did day that lol but ya know word play they want to be this so called neutral because they're cowards
The most ironic thing about him is that he's always talking about fighting "the system" when buying all those luxury cars and houses is feeding the system that he is so "against"
I don't think he means personal luxuries, I think he ment societal issues whatever that may be
@@albertbecerra he enforces the societal issues that he claims to be against.
@@deadcorpse69 really? How so? Not saying I don't believe you, I just don't follow this guy religiously.
With fighting the system he means fighting the part of the world that is promoting degeneration.
Andrew Tate, instead of hoarding money is actually spending it for his own pleasure, his friends, his family and charity.
i dont think you understand what "the system" is. He uses it as a general term for all the things that are put in place to control you (the average person). He's "escaped" the system, he can do whatever he feels like even if it helps the system because there's not much that can be done to control a person with his level of wealth and unfluence.
Not really a tate fan, but after the arrest and constantly extending his detainment despite not formally bringing charges against him really does kinda prove his point. Especially when the government said they wouldn’t listen to the alleged victims because they were supposedly brainwashed. However, he knew what he was getting into when moving to Romania and he gets what he deserves.
Went to Romania because of the corrupt judicial system got jailed in Romania because of the corrupt judicial system. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
@@Bass_no_Treble Stop talking about shit you don’t understand. He went to Romania so that he wouldn’t have to deal with this specific kind of nonsense bullshit he’s currently dealing with. This kind of bullshit is so American and UK and not typical of Romania. He thought in Romania he could just pay to make nonsense like this go away and it would be simple to deal with. That and he wanted to speed in his super cars without being hassled.
@@Phillylove100 he should have gone to italy they want you to speed

Andrew isn’t just selling courses, he’s selling them a story, the underdog hero fighting against the unjust society (The Matrix) and banning him on social media made his followers feed into the story that they are trying to silence their hero for speaking out
It’s to his advantage too that “the Matrix” is so vague. His viewers are free to interpret “the Matrix” how they please. It can make his message seem so much more personal to different people’s experiences and trauma
Have you seen how expensive the "cources" are? They don't even work, and people still buy them. Hopefully these people grow out of this before he leaves them broke.
@@simoncaton1226 I hate how he's so vague about it, it seems like he's sort of referring to future plans like social credit scores, CBDCs and the Great Reset. He's the more vague, less political and less careful version of Russell Brand.
Tate mentions that people will lose ownership and be controlled. What he says sounds like Iman Gadzhi talking about how to become financially free from pandemic measures.
@@cosygoose1813 $50/month is really not that expensive. "The Real World" is actually pretty good. The courses are good, but the main value (imo) is the community and access to people who have succeded at the moneymaking method you are attempting.
@@simoncaton1226 It's really not that vague. He has explained multiple times what he refers to as "the Matrix." I will say, however, that some people take it too far (even *he* is half-joking at times, but some fans fail to see this and take every single word he utters seriously).
Glad Wilfur is back to making videos again, im so happy he got that cool Romanian guy to translate for him
Lol
Yeah, but is kinda sad he just sat there nowadays. He used to be part of the show. I'm glad he made it as a duck, but I miss his shenanigans
The longer he’s held suspiciously, the more disastrous it’ll be if he doesn’t end up being convicted. He’ll be the martyr who managed to break free, phoenix from the ashes kinda thing. “The establishment tried to stop me, but they couldn’t. Buy my course”
I'm curious about what it would take for people to believe that the establishment is targeting Tate. Despite his arrest, ban, and misrepresentation by the media, some still doubt the situation. I'm not sure what else needs to happen to convince them.
@@UltraEgoMc of course, because Tate is so special and a big danger to the matrix!!!!! Him moving into a corrupt country and possibly falling a victim of it is literally the proof that all governments are out there to get him!!!!!
Andrew Tate knows that if you say certain things (which many people want to hear), you will get cancelled. He takes advantage of this, by openly saying politically incorrect stuff, to get lauded as being brave, which also fits into his "macho" image. He is already rich and influential, he can probably afford to be unemployable (which most people can't).
The Streisand effect has already worked for Tate in the past. When he got banned off of most sites, people would just repost his clips everywhere, giving him more notoriety. The media also criticised him, giving him more attention. Finally, because of his fame (and infamy), lots of people would debate him giving him more exposure. All of the things that were meant to hurt his career only helped. His fans will see of this as just "Matrix clockwork".
His arrest and the lack of transparency on the part of Romanian authorities also feeds into his "Matrix" narrative. He presents himself as a superhero, being persecuted for pushing the truth.
Finally, he is extremely materialistic, openly flexing his mansion, his cars, presenting himself as a playboy, etc which does appeal to lots of people. They want to be like him. But in the end, all of this is just a marketing tool to sell a clickbait course to broken young men.
I used Hustler’s before to connect with people and advice for logistics. Something that I’m lazy to do researching myself 😂

If he committed the crime I feel jail is needed. I feel his beliefs were affecting young boys. I had a cousin who was affected by Andrew Tate. He's just smart enough not not realize how dumb he actually is. His grift caught up to him and now he's currently rotting away in a jail cell. Tate is anything but smart.
Smart, but extremely questionable. Manipulating your audience into giving you money is weird and shouldn't be encouraged, nor allowed to flourish into any trend of sorts
Oh absolutely. I found a compilation of him talking and he comes across as very intelligent. He talks about how an increasing number of men in society feel alone and insecure nowadays, a real thing that is actually a problem in the western world right now. But then he pivots and starts blaming this phenomenon on weakness, on women, on an increasing number of men being pussies etc etc and sells himself as the Alpha Chad that holds all the secrets to overcoming it.
Dude knows his fanbase, he speaks directly to young insecure men and holds himself up as this successful mogul, saying 'you can be this if you follow me'. And by doing so, he's leading these men down the path of toxic masculinity and incel style assholery.

I think the issue with this is regardless of what you can do it will ALWAYS benefit Tate and his cause. You try to ignore him? That will just lead to more people who aren't aware of his shit to potentially become fans of his and eventually just come to ignore or support the takes Tate has causing his base to grow. You imprison or let him die? In that scenario he becomes news to people who dislike him and for his followers he becomes a martyr to the beliefs and ironically makes his base bigger for justice. This scenario would be a much more intense example of the drama that happened with Pikamee where, while it likely wasn't the only reason, she announced her graduation right after people were denouncing her for wanting to play Hogwarts Legacy. In this scenario regardless of Pikamee's opinion on trans people her design is used as a martyr against the transgender people by some of her most radical fans. In Tate's case its going to be even easier since his name and personality aren't being morphed into a symbol for his beliefs, they already were even when he was a free man.
No matter what people chose to do about Tate it would only lead to his base growing arguably since his beliefs are easier and more appealing then others. Basically fast food ideology.

The funniest part of Andrew is his constant instance that we need to "break out of the matrix" by thinking for ourselves, but his followers just listen to him instead of thinking for themselves
Yeah that's whats wrong with people nowdays. No matter who you listen to you probably think like a consumer not a creator. You don't think for yourself nor want to, for the blue pill or what color pill side all of it's bad if you mindlessly follow their word
Actually there has been quite a few instances where Tate has said, dont believe me, go and do some of your own research
@@triceralegostopmotions8005 Yes, but his followers will ignore that because he's tate and clearly knows his stuff. Blind faith
@@triceralegostopmotions8005 but no body listens.
@@goose1114 but it ain't like hes forcing the blond faith
Love the new cut bro😁❤️
You should make a video on the rise of youtube boxing
sponsorship starts at 0:55, ends at 1:52
Thank you
Legend
Thanks goat 🐐
I don't know what Andrew Tate used to mean by Stage: 2 But I am sure if he is proved innocent and comes back from prison Then his reputation and influence will go to another level. Maybe it's his stage: 2
Another video already?! I really hope you're back!!!
i miss the buzz cut but I'm still glad you're back
Are you serious right now. You’ve been working on multiple videos all at once!? You’re insane, dude.
I think he has been replaced by AI... Oh wait that's just his name A****I ...
The legend came back when we needid him 🗿
Love that your back
The hero we didn’t deserve but the hero we needed
Atleast he is a better influencer than those who say you are in wrong body or you are born with wrong gender.
This is so true. I feel that with how incompetent Andrew is with debate he really had no alternative other than a great and expansive (and possibly bureaucratic? impersonal? hidden?) conflict. Imprisonment is perfect for that. It's especially fitting since he can quite easily paint himself as the victim for those who are not already swayed by his other... characteristics. Your takes are almost always based in ways that other people aren't able to replicate, and that's fucking awesome :)
Imagine you going to JAIL improves your brand 💀💀💀
Love him or hate him it works
Welp time to learn from him then
I miss when i only knew Andrew Tate as the dude who hates Star Wars
It's so good to see you back! Welcome back❤
I wouldn't be surprised if he actually plotted this whole arrest from the start because he is a very smart man.
Ah yes, UA-cam reccomends me the video once andrew was released
there should some kind of a law or regulation that requires influencers have to get a license, or psychological evaluation (or both) before they are allowed to spread their influence anywhere. but, they would probably only be required to have some kind of warning label or adult rating instead
Bad move because then governments will use it as chance to crack down on any opposite opinion to their narratives
In order to protect freedom there should be no regulation on expression
The thing that doesn’t fit tho is that his arrest isn’t an attempt to silence him. It’s based on his guilt. So there is no Streisand effect in regards to putting him in Jail. It may temporarily boost his brand, but once he’s sentenced to say 10+ years in prison his brand will dwindle and he will be forgotten. He will be unable to produce new content. His brand would have been more successful had he not been arrested in the end.
1:51 is when the ad ends
Thank me later
And he's back
Hes still gonna be tried
@@herefornoreason2419 lol cope harder.
@@darkcloud9053 bro idgaf about the guy im just saying as a law student this doesnt mean anything, once the investigations done hes allowed to walk free till his trial.
He's back!!!!! We missed you sir!
I only knew this man for saying He's never watched Star Wars before he reached critical mass relevancy (of course, in a very Tate manner, he contradicted himself a bit), and now he's in detainment set for charges connecting to an investigation that has actually take place is a bit of whiplash.
no to be honest I think you missed with this video. Andrew Tate didn't become a household name by telling boys about how to get rich quick or even talking about the matrix. he got the level of infamy that he has today though just saying everything and anything regardless of how it might be received and then doubling down on what worked which in this case was a pretty predictable misogyny and self help cross. combining something that people need(self help advice) and something that they want to hear(their secret misogyny is right and acceptable). if he has done a crime he deserves to go to prison for the crime and arresting him is the first step in that. I am one of the fabled Andrew Tate haters of which you spoke in your video and I for one have not starting questioning the existence of the matrix thanks to this trial. he of course deserves a fair trial and with the money he has he will undoubtedly get one.
If you are Romanian (conditional related to actually living there) then you know that the judges may be looking for a discreet but substantial part of the sweet money that Tate boasted as having in plenitude. Bribes, that the direct term. In corrupt countries this is done via your lawyers, who also take part of the alleged part that the judge may be looking for, what you can imagine makes for everyone taking his bite.
But as Tate may know that there are not evidence or proof for the accusations he may rather endure more days in prison than opening a money faucet that no one will close until they see that the water is completely drained. But who knows, corruption can go as far as to produce evidence out of someone's (literal) ass and decide that a "she said" is all the evidence is needed to send someone to jail and that could make miracles on easening wills.
If you are loud, mouthy person who is enamored of the myth you created about yourself and your wealth, you should know better than going to a country that is actually worse at handling judicial procedures than your own.
I totally love the fact that he specifically moved to a country with a lax judical system and then has to experience said lax judical system.
