Just came to realisations that how good is your job! You get to travel, make a living doing what you love and be with your family 24/7. keep up the good work !
Watching your videos puts me in the happiest mood! I feel such joy in watching you! I never hear a negative word come out of your mouth, Mark. I am so grateful to you! Each time I watch, I get an intense shot of joy!
Oh Man, Mark, I've lived here for almost 28 years now and i still got hungry watching this!!! You're doing an excellent job on these vids! My wife's from Salzburg area and i know those places well. May i recommend next time to eat at the Stieglbrewery at the main castle-fortress. Not only great food, but the famous Stiegl beer too! My wife has suggested (since you like organs) to try what's called "Beuschel". It's literally lungs, liver, heart, and kidneys cleaned and chopped and fried with onions and then covered with a cream sauce and served with vinegar on the top. It's not for everyone, but Lisi loves it. I don't care for it much but have had it 2x. :D Greetings from Vienna! PS: We also thought you should try "Grammelknoedel" (potato dumpling stuffed with fried pork skin and fat). It's a calorie bomb, but by far the most decadent thing you'll ever eat. They're fantastic!
I spent the summer of 1988 in Salzburg as a student, and still consider it the best summer of my life. This video was wonderful in capturing some of the charm of that magical city.
Hi Mark .... I lived in Aschaffenburg Germany for 10 years and I love that country. I love your videos. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family.

Saw the ones where you showed the apartments and rooms in all the different countries and found them fascinating. Always wanted to know what they looked like. Then saw the food videos and they were great, too! I'm 73 yrs old and will never get a chance to see or experience those places or foods, but almost felt I was there! Love your down to earth approach. The way you show the food and describe it in such a fun way almost makes me taste it!!! You are great! Wish you'd show your wife and son more. That baby is amazingly good!! I raised 5 son's and none were that quiet!!!

Loves to eat, and walks and rides his bike. I’m lazy, I hate walking and I have to watch my weight. There really is something about that walking that keeps the weight down.
Love how Mark and Ying have introduced Micah to the world of travel and diversity. Micah is just adorable, so quiet when his dad is recording. It's like he knows how to play his part perfectly in these videos. Love how chilled out Ying is about her infant son being a part of these travels. kudos!!!!

Mark, my wife and I just got back to TN from a 3 country 2 week trip to Europe. Salzburg was in the middle of our trip and I followed your advice on the wiener schnitzel at Barenwirt. It was absolutely fantastic! Love following your adventures across the globe. Thank you.
Hi, Mark: Thanks for this great video and for turning us on to a couple places we didn't have on our list. We were in Salzburg in July, had a cool, rainy day, and decided to check out Barenwirt as it was a good day for soup. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to get it. We had the soup and it was out of this world! Schnitzel was excellent, too. Didn't have room enough to have the käsespätzle, but I'm sure it was excellent. Will be sure to have it next time. Augustiner Brau was excellent, too. Lots of great food choices, and an excellent atmosphere on a summer night, with so many people enjoying the food, beer, and friendships. Thanks, again! Prost!
I love Mark and his family. Starting at 8:34 he literally had me looking in my cabinet looking for pasta. His reactions are priceless especially when he really likes something his eyes go big as half dollars along with a right side head slant.....GO MARK!!!!!

My grandmother lives in Salzburg and is moving back to Finland so it will be nice to go to Salzburg in August to see her for 2 weeks. I’m so excited. These are the types of videos I like to watch to know what I’m going to visit! Thank you!

The highlight of my two weeks in Austria was the Augustiner Brau garden. I never wanted to leave. And even before Augustiner was available in PA (weird alcohol import laws) I was paying to have it shipped from Austria every year for Oktoberfest. I also was lucky enough to get the free liter that is the last from the firkin/barrel (to go with the other several liters I drank). We stayed in the campground on the opposing hill and had the most gorgeous views every morning. Easily one of my fondest travel memories.
Dear Mark, Ying and Mika!! As I am following you for so long and as we have a lot of common in our names ( I am Markus from Wien), I am so happy that you are now in Austria!! Hi Mark, I watch too many of your food adventures and I have to say that i love trying new food from different cultures but i can never swallow spare part or even a rodent. I have been in the food industry for many years but i envy the job you do as i can only wish the job you have. But the reason i am writing to you is because i just want to say that you are blessed and you have a beautiful wife thats so supportive towards what you do for a living and in a way she gets to see the world too. But the fact that you do things together is so beautiful to see and i cannot express what i feel but to see the family together is just lovely and a blessing. Can you just do one video with you asking your wife's opinion about the food she is eating. God bless you Mark and i will pray for you.

I got to say Micah is and was the most chillest baby I have ever seen in my entire life..did he ever make a fuss or cry?😆 I don't think so. Definitely one of my most favorite city in Europe! So wonderful and friendly!. Drove into the city from Munich but got so lost, I parked my car at the City Center and took public transport and walking just like you did! So great experiences in sight, sound and food! Catch is, enjoyed the city so much, I forgot where I parked but found it without too much fuss!! :)
Watching this video I am reminded of the Mark Twain quote that Joseph Rosendo closes his travelogues with. "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness,” In this video you see all the amazing different people exploring Salzburg, Austria as tourists. Experiencing the city, its culture and food. Meeting different people. Sharing an experience. If DNA tells us anything it is that we are all unique individuals whose lives are owed to many different people that we will never know. We carry a part of them in us. And they came from many different places all over the globe. When people talk negatively about globalism or multi-culturalism, just show them their DNA. They are a product of both of them. And if anything can save this world from numbskulls full of hatred, ignorance, bigotry and fear, it is experiences like this. We are not afraid and we will not change who we are to satisfy your bigotry and fear. Your violence and destruction is your epitaph not ours. Boston, Manchester, Paris, London, New York. They all still stand, stronger than ever. Rock on foodie travelers. Stay strong. Explore your world.
TheFreeFlow The right breadcrumbs can be hard to get outside of Austria, and you need to know the right meat cuts. But once you have those it's easy. Tenderize the meat with a meat... hammer (whatever it's called), or just a heavy pan (cover meat with some plastic foil so it won't stick). Really smack it flat. Do a butterfly cut before if you have thick cuts. Then salt (and maybe a little pepper), put in flour, then whisked egg, then crumbs. Put in a pan with hot(!) oil. As hot as possible before the oil gets bad (use high heat resistant oil... or even better lard or cleared butter). The Schnitzel should be in the pan as little as possible, so get up that temperature to brown them quickly. Ideally the breading is golden brown when the meat is still medium.

Damn very not truth

Great video as always.. wiener schnitzel is one of the best things to eat in the world..
Real Schnitzel is hard to make too, I tried doing it once in the kitchen, it´s a very delicate process.
