- Instructional Video describing the technique of How to Go Up and down Stairs on your Bottom. Useful for when you are non weight bearing such as following ankle or foot surgery and you cannot use crutches.
LoL! Visiting my Grandkids post op foot surgery, they have 14 stairs to negotiate. I went up the stairs like this guy, and then just slid down on my bottom for fast descent. Kids loved it!! Wanted to sit on my lap for a ride.🤣🤣
Oh thank goodness! Thank you!!! 8 over alone and live upstairs in apartments. Having surgery Wednesday and no family to help me. When I take Uber home, this is how I'm getting up the stairs. Crutches and walker videos scare me to death. Again, thank you!
If you have a bathroom on the lower floor do not use the stairs.
Thanks. I seriously have to do this .. hopefully just temporarily. Take care.
I just had foot surgery and I’ve been doing this even though my parents want me to use crutches. I have a bad back and can’t get my leg to go up on the steps so I tried this and it works. Thank you.
I do this 10 to 15 times a day. 16 stairs! I am AKA and the worst part for me is lowering myself to the stairs from the wheelchair. It's actually a long drop and my arms don't stretch that far behind me.
My chair lift on the stairs broke down on Xmas eve! It's been a week now. Every time coming or going, I have things to take with me.
I just saw another video where she used a small stool/bench in addition to the chair, so it was less of a distance to drop down/pull up. The stool then slid under the chair when not needed.
@@heather54101 GREAT IDEA! THANKS!
Sadly this was very helpful 😂 I was in a bad car accident at the beginning of the year and I have a two story home and now that my last foot surgery is complete I have pins in my foot and would love to be able to finally get upstairs to do things on my own when I’m left here by myself soon
I'm currently doing this to get upstairs and downstairs, I have an injured foot and hoping to get better soon, it's so hard to get around on one foot I miss being able to walk normally
Great video! Thank you so much :)
How did the walker get up the steps? Now how to go downstairs
Excellent beutiful idea
Nice concept but, can we get someone who is actually injured to do a video.
Right? My husband has a broken hip he is recovery, no way this would work!
I didn't have enough upper body strength for this and had to crawl up the stairs
انكسرت رجلي قبل خمس شهور وطوال هذي الفتره أطلع درج بيتي في الطابق الثاني بنفس هذي الطريقه الله يشفينا ويشفي كل مريض ومبتلى يارب
HOW DO WE GET BACK DOWN?
same way but down ie. feet first and lower down on to lower step
Matt Hopkinson Ok, thank you.
Terima kasih 🙏👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This video is useful but hilarious for some reason.
Do you think it's difficult to do this going down one handed? I'm now weighbearing after a ankle injury but have broken wrist too. No railing or would feel safe with cane. Got up with cane holding sturdy ballusters facing them. Last step problem since can not get good grip of post column.
Out cardboard covering the stairs and slide down. Put pillows at bottom. Lol idk don't really do this.
I used to do this when carrying a baby, in case of tripping, safer for baby.
Why is UA-cam suggesting me this video in 2022 xd?
Or when you are dressed as a mermaid for Halloween and can't walk
