Wow! I had never heard of Belgrade before but it looks like such a lovely place to visit. Love how you are out seeing the world! Amazing tour as always! 😊
Thanks for watching Meg!
You should visit Belgrade one tome, you will always be welcome.
What a beautiful city. Great job on showcasing all the sites. I need to plan a trip to Belgrade.
Thanks. Belgrade was one of the most beautiful and interesting cities I have visited in a while. I can't wait to explore more of Serbia in the future
Thank you very much for such a nice, thorough, informative video about my city. I have left some additional comments below. Really well done and it was a pleasure to watch.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. Belgrade was a wonderful city to visit, I'm looking forward to returning
No wander everybody wanted this land, even today. Those ppl over there are blessed living there
Not many tourists visit the Botanical Garden, so this is a refreshment. Saint Mark church is modelled after the Gracanica monastery in Kosovo (14th century) and its appearance is similar. The Saint Sava Temple has a big story - in 1595 the Ottomans burned the relics of Serbian Saint Sava. 300 years later, in 1895, a Society was formed, to build the Temple at that spot. Construction started in 1935, resumed in 1985, the central dome which weighs 4,000 tons was lifted in 1989, but it wasn't until a few years ago that the Temple was completely finished inside and out. Now they are working on the area outside the Temple. The Roman Well is actually Austrian :) Pljeskavica (pronounced plyeskavitza) is a Serbian version of a burger.
Great video! I had no idea serbia was so beautiful
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching. Serbia is such a gem
❤❤❤❤welcome..
Dobrodošao!
I thank you for such a beautiful report about my birthplace 🍻
Thanks for watching!
18:21 that tower is interesting to me because its twisted. When you look at it, it's bottom is narrow and top is wide but if you go on side and take a look at it then the bottom is wide and top is narrow. Anyway welcome to Serbia and hope to have a great time during your stay here.
Thanks for watching, I really enjoyed my time in Serbia I cannot wait to return
Brought back 2.5 years of memories… thanks for sharing…
Have you lived in Serbia before?
@@TheEmptyMiddleSeatTravel
Yes, I’ll tell you all about it when we get to meet in person…😊
Belgrade ❤
Great video, guys 👍. However, I think you missed visiting the so-called 'Belgrade Sea,' Ada Ciganlija. It is actually part of the inner core of the city and is considered the third most beautiful river beach in Europe. It features 7 km of beaches and a 9 km long pedestrian walking path around it, with many restaurants, an adventure area called Ada Safari, numerous sports courts, and a protected part of the island with forests containing rare plants and mushrooms. It is truly beautiful.
Thank you! Thanks for the tip, hopefully we can make it there next trip
Really great video!!! Well done 👏👏👏
Thank you, I appreciate it
Great video! It was surprising
Thanks glad you enjoyed
great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
❤
Great.
Don't wanna ruin Alex's business, but while in Beograd, you may go to Novi Sad frequently, there is a speed train which get you there ( and back, later ) in 35 minutes .
Thanks for the tip!
👌👍
You missed the Crypt in St Sava church!
I did go see the crypt, it just didn't make the video because of time restraints. It was very impressive.
They charge to get into the Botanical Gardens?
Yes, it is run by Faculty of biology of Belgrade University, only students and children have free entrance.
This was a beautiful video of my city, thank you 😊 I do have a general question, but maybe you can help me out with it? Why do vloggers, in 99% of cases, completely ignore the rest of the city (outside of the historic center)? Your visit to the Avala Tower was a nice change, but I can't help but wonder why New Belgrade (almost twice the size of the old town) is completely ignored? Zemun municipality, with its stunning promenade, is also almost never visited. And lastly, in the summertime, Belgrade has an actual beach with beach restaurants, music all day, water sports, golf, etc., at Ada Ciganlija. All within 10 to 15 minutes from the old town. It even has a nude beach part, haha! One would guess those parts would be worthy of tourists, or at least for vloggers to make content. And yet, almost all of them go just to Knez Mihajlova, Kalemegdan, and most recently, the Waterfront. And that's it. I get that those places are the most popular, but Belgrade is much more than that, and it's a shame that many parts are generally unknown to tourists :)
Thank you. It was our first visit to the city, so we typically do the "touristy" things on the first trip. We are planning on visiting again, most likely many times and we will get out to see more region. Thank you for the information, someone else had mentioned Ada Ciganlija I will have to visit. We are looking forward to another trip to Serbia, thanks for watching!
11:23 That details on buildings you show was also bombed by NATO ,actually that detail got direct hit by NATO missiles destroying upper floor but were rebuild the same how it was ,most off buildings in that area were bombed but all except that one were fixed
Belgrade was destroyed more then 90 times in history.Bad place to be on main path! So NATO criminals have done nothing.Belgrade is still center of Balkan, and will be always.
Visit Zemun next time
I need to marry Serbian guy😂
Shiit. 😊
Welcome to our beautiful Serbia, dear brother!
Thank you, I can't wait to return
@@TheEmptyMiddleSeatTravel You're always welcome in Serbia, also I recommend visiting Novi Sad the 2nd largest city in Serbia if you haven't visited already
I am planning on visiting Novi Sad, I was hoping to this fall, but it's looking like next spring
@@TheEmptyMiddleSeatTravel I see, well, next spring Novi Sad is gonna be even more beautiful than today, there's a lot of cool projects bulding right now, but yeah I wish you a nice and safe trip to Serbia again next time, have a lovely day bro
