My thinking as a Japanese is that Sweets before bedtime is not common in Japan. The reason why Japanese snacks are individually packaged in large bags is partly to share, but also because people want to eat a little at a time, not all in one day.
Have you ever tried Osatsu-Doki? These are potato chips made from sweet potatoes (Satsuma-Imo), which I adored during my childhood. I haven't seen them in Japan for several years, but last year, I discovered them in a fancy supermarket in Estonia. I would love for you to try them and hear your impressions.
Thank you for aother great video! I love your channel :) I'm just wondering though, mochi and dango are essentially the same thing just in different forms. So what exactly about dango is it that you don't think Americans would like? Mitarashi sauce? Also, you should try Galbo if you haven't ;)
I believe that having family Okashi time after bath time is a 'sweet' tradition in your wife's family. Typically, Japanese families don't eat snacks late at night.
I beg you to try Monaka which is another crispy wagashi. It's like Anko sandwiched between kinda Senbeis. It's really good. And I just wanna let you know that Senbei actually means crunchy or crispy cookie-like snack and doesn't matter if it's made from rice or not.
Austin!! you're forgetting Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream!! that's my all time fave. They also now have Flamin Hot too, and Doritos got Flaming Hot too, Flamin Hot version of Cool Ranch and Nacho. they also got Tapatio hot source flavor Doritos too. And Austin, you're too funny,, you don't know what Ranch is,,, yeah you do,, and chips are for bringing dip to your month? you sexy beast. lol And Arthur, what do you mean by the chocolate game in Japan is weak? Have you not tried the Royce's Nama chocolate? They have stores in the US, and also in my area in the US,, and they are considered as the high-end super delicious chocolate around me. I never tasted anything like Royce in the US,, also never had the foam texture chocolate that Japan has, in the US. How they form chocolate in Japan is the best part of Japanese chocolates.
The more I watch this channel, the more I think that you guys deserve way more subs. Seriously.
I like they are sarcastic to each other ( in very friendly way ) 😂😂

塩バター味が好きだった
Please try ピザポテト as well. I would like to know if there is something similar or culturally acceptable in the US.
I Googled woopie pie.
It looks pretty good.
