As a computer nerd born in the seventies, I feel so amazed that people make a living from playing computer games and that MC servers have a screening process for people to join. Truly we live in a golden age.
Setting high standards for a block game does feel like a bit much. but consider that many of us are very passionate about this game and need to take caution about what kinds of people we associate with, especially in the online environment. When you run a server with a public influence it is important that you do not allow certain individuals to hurt others, especially when they are a member of your server. We've had plenty of examples of this occuring in the technical minecraft community and so we need to remain diligent in our screening process to ensure no one gets hurt.
@@theclockworkcadaver7025 for example if someone is building a really nice and complicated item sorting system, which takes a lot of time. Then someone joins the server and destroys the item sorter. The other person doesnt have to be a bad person, it could just be someone who isnt very educated on the topic of redstone and accedently destroy it.
@@theclockworkcadaver7025 No matter what you're making, things in minecraft are their own creations, and many people work very hard on them. I like the analogy of spilling paint on someone elses painting they've been working on for weeks or months. Even if it's not intrinsically valuable, it can have a lot of emotional importance to the person working on them. No matter how silly it may seem, minecraft is the same way.

This is a really really cool machine and I'll be sure to use something like this in the future to organise my entire ender chest (all the shuckers in it)!! Btw how did you get excommunicated from scicraft?
I think he mentioned he didn't enjoy playing in 1.12 and *might* return when they update. Who knows if he will since he's since gotten much more invested in wavtech~
I think the old adage is rather, "Light a man a fire, and you've warmed him for a day. Light a man on fire, and you've warmed him for the rest of his life."
Wouldn't the simplest version be to drop all the items from each slice into a water stream, piston pusher or minecart line, and then feed those into a shulker? You'd bypass all the issues with locked droppers as well as the issues with the redstone firing order. 27 stacks shouldn't cause too much lag, and then you only need to restock a new shulker when one is taken from the output.
Hey Cubic, could you please keep the WaveTech applications open over the entire 6 weeks of holidays, as I suspect the many people, myself included will not be able to post a submission as they will be off on a holiday and will not be able to post a submission before they leave, if that could be arranged? Many thanks, imveryverydum
6:44 NAW now I have to design an entire new multi-item sorter That is such a clever way to move stuff between adjacent slices, the only way I had seen till now was a very ugly system of ever-longer hopper chains around the back and gaps every few slices to "reset" the chain length But that's much better
yea joining this server would be pervect for me XD pure grind with brain (and alll good minecraftters are German so im german (nothing against no germans))
The idea is that we modify the game in a way which is consistent with the vanilla game, meaning any contraptions that we build work exactly the same on any Vanilla survival server. This is what makes our accomplishments in technical minecraft matter, the fact that we can be a part of a diverse community from around the world all solving similar problems and being able to share and exchange one anothers solutions. These are all only client mods which you can log into any vanilla survival server and use.
i really wish i could play on the server but my redstone skills are a little above average, and my builing skills are horrible. The only use i would have to being on the server would be that i love to grind and just do things in minecraft
