The Charity app: Instead of 5 dragons for 10% total, they got 1 dragon for 7%...and they call that a win. for 3 more % they could have gotten all 5. what a shame.
True.. For extra 3% they could have landed 4 dragons, their networks and the charities they have/involved...Plain and simple..
They had, between all 5 dragons... the world at their fingertips... and asked for a discount. People have given 20% to one dragon and they were lucky to get away with it. It's madness.

The bike guy Steven, seems such a nice honest guy. Admits everything candidly. Even that he is lonely and he wants to help support his employers bike shop. I expect he shortened Deborah as he knows a Debbie. I often shorten peoples names if I know another that of the same name that I shorten. I don’t think it’s rude. I don't know why people get so miffed about having their names shortened to common shortenings. Doesn't bother me one bit when people do it to me.

I can't believe what I just saw. Turned down all the opportunity to have all 5 Dragons on board for 10%. Absolute madness. It was a no brainer. I'm gobsmacked.
Normally, I wouldn't say all five were necessary, but in this case, where contacts are everything, they were absolutely necessary. They turned down decades of contacts, not to mention all of their charities signing up. And they lost all of that for 3%!!!! CRAZY!!!
No they left with one dragon that resonated most with them that they thought could add the most value with a large enough stake in the company to make success worth his while. Other dragons are somewhat behind with the times when it comes to big tech.

The bike guy is cool he shouldn't feel alone. Why isn't using his money to check in social resorts or is joining a association or a club to socialize and feel better. I hope the dragons help him in that regard. He doesn't need more money he needs love and connection to good ppl. So this can be solved by building up a own company so he has employees which I think will be very thankful having such a nice employer.

I like the charity one. While charities might want to "create relationships" (aka harass people for donations), many people won't donate at all because they don't want to be harassed. I think it's a great idea. The charities will still have other revenue streams. They were absolute morons to turn down the 5 Dragons. While I wouldn't normally think 5 Dragons were necessary, in this case, their contacts were priceless to them! In their foolish greed, they REALLY were stupid. While Steven is known on social media, the rest have DECADES of contacts, not to mention their own huge charities. Foolish.

And then she freaked out about the Sarah thing too. It would be easy to assume that her name is the normally pronounced Sarah, and it was just the English accent making it sound like the other Sara (Saw-ra).
Deborah also freaked out another time, when a hairdresser thought she had dyed highlights in her hair. I would just take that as a compliment; that your natural highlights are just that pretty.

The first one...I cant believe peter only offered 10%, I would've took that deal without even a second thought lol. Considering she had a stupid evaluation and didnt make much profit and suffered such a great net loss, I'm surprised he offered. Charities annoy me with how much they keep for their employees. I do not think i would use a charitable app when they are then skimming even more off. Then you have to look at the fact that billionnaries could easily solve many of the worlds issues if they stopped hoarding their billions in offshore accounts.
Many charities can’t rely on volunteers and billionaires will point to people like you to justify not being generous.

My local shop trialed the plant based bags 2 years ago. When it was raining they would start turning sticky and melt lol. But they are onto something, and I know Co Op use them now, though we find them pretty useless here, they split a lot.

I've lived in the US for all of my 59 years and I've never heard of this brand. I've been drinking hot coffee since I was 11 and cold the past 10 years so I know them all. Maybe this is a certain region but in Chicago, I haven't seen it so they haven't taken over the US.
There’s over 4,000 coffee productions businesses and hundreds of different cold brew brands in the US. I sincerely doubt you have heard of them all, especially a start up.

I question the ethics of not just profiting from charitable donations but also taking a % as high as 8%. I see the value in the app but its a greedy approach to harness an income stream especially as a different business model could be used like a membership fee, advertising or commission on charity product sales. A lot of donators are focused on the running costs of a charity as an assessment of how much of their donation gets used to help the cause rather than run a charity or in this case a non charity. Edit -It looks like they have sold the business to a bank, underpinning my point.
The only thing that tickles Jonesey's interest - £illions....
