Exactly what Dialga236 said and not to mention the only way to find an English translated version of it is by somehow finding an unlisted UA-cam link to it.
In any case, Cybershell commented on this video so he's aware of it now.

As a fan of Sonic comics, this is a definite shocker to me! I dig the artstyle, and seeing mohawk Sonic pop up in something is always a treat.

Though speaking of Sonic Comics, I really hope Tangle and Whisper becomes a running side-series to the main Sonic IDW series, not only are both of those characters great in their own ways, but having so many other characters to focus on in the main series means it could be real-world years until they finally get together. A dedicated series would let their relationship and individual character development advance way faster than just a cute moment whenever they show up together in the main series. Don't get me wrong though, that little 2-panel scene of them at the end of issue #31 of the main series is a fucking gift in itself.
Oh my goodness! How many damn comics are there?! The French one is at least nice to look at as I love French comic’s designs especially ones like Asterix and Obelix and Tintin.

As for the French comic - it very much is possible to read the issue online without it being in video form. You have to know where to look (hint: DuckDuckGo). That was how I got to read it for the first time a couple months ago.

I remember when I was a kid in the 90s reading a Sonic comic, and I remember a scene where Sonic and Knuckles were looking at some photo albums of their old adventures. I think I never seen this comic again since this time. Sometimes I just think it is an invented memories, or distorded one but, still...
I FOUND IT AFTER ALL THIS YEARS! It was in the book "Sonic & Knuckles Le Guide ultime"!

I remember learning about this a long time ago from fiendishly scavenging for obscure trivia on the Sonic wiki and Sonic Retro, like the hopeless obsessive geek that I am. Glad to see someone finally making a video on it, much obliged.

The Enchidna tribe was first mentioned in the Sonic 3 japanese manual as it’s story was adapted into Sonic Adventure. They also weren’t referred to as Echidnas, just a civilization in the manual
This is like the PK Out Of The Shadows game that was very loosely based on the sequel to the Italian comics that americans had no way of knowing about. But in reverse.
Plot twist:The french comics were actually the first creation of sonic starting in the 70s then getting a game and swag took the spotlight.
I really loved that comic when I was a kid, and I've still got my copy !
11:58 Yes, there is a reference to that story because the Fleetway Comics were published in french at the same time. We had our own version of "Sonic Mag" that mixed comics and game reviews in a monthly formula. Unfortunately, it stopped at the issue #6 in January 1995.
Otherwise, the authors' real names are Bertrand Marceau (for Mister B.) and Thierry Smolderen (for Smoldo).
And fun fact : in the french original version, Tails speaks with a lisp !

This is one of the things I love so much about the sonic community and franchise. There is so much bat shit oddities around the world that it's just facsinating to own and look at.
It does suck when story lines get unresolved... heck UK Sonic comic creators were making a Sparkster comic which was super fucking cool then Konami went "Oh no the fuck you ain't. You stopping this unlicensed comic right now."
As cringe as this series is, it's just fun to see the crazy shit the writers and artists can do (or get away with) I'm glad Ken Penders got the boot because that man is a crate full of trouble.

As far as I know he only really did some storyboards and the design for Robotnik, Sonics design was done by Ed Love and Kent Butterworth
Milton is pretty commonly over-praised for his work on AoStH, which is ironic considering even he kinda wants to move away from it as “just a summer job”

Wow. I was looking Archie and Fleetway videos and I came across this just as it was uploaded.
Every comic is basically it's own continuity anyway, so throwing away team dark can be reasoned by that. Alternate universe stuff I guess.
The Sonic Universe comics are some of the only ones I followed. I played Tails Adventure right before reading the Tails graphic novel and was so hyped to find out it was a retelling of the story. I already really liked the game so it just made for a great experience getting the fleshed out story so close to it.
It’s amazing that I’ve never heard of these French comics before, and I’ve known about the Nicky comics before hearing anything about Fleetway.

- Modern & Boom Knuckles dubbed by SpongeBob's voice actor.
When idw took over Sonic, I've seen some of em. I do miss some of old crue, Sally Acorn for one.

7:14 Robotnik's overall design here certainly is an interesting one it appears that they have strongly modelled him after his Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog counterpart with the costume with his overall shape resembling his Satam counterpart

I used to buy those comics at like a import shop , I can’t find them anymore , I also remember seeing the sonic manga I considered buying it but didn’t, but don’t worry I still have a healthy amount of Archie comics

I know I was born way after the release of this comics but I'm pretty sure that even in the french sonic youtubers they never talked about it. I mean they are not as vig as americans sonic youtubers and don't talk a lot about sonic comics in general but still , as a french fan of sonic I was surprised to had never heard of it before
I gotta say despite hearing about this comic for the first time, I have still heard of most of the comics.

It looks pretty though, I'm surprised.
I think the IDW comics feel "sterile" because they're starting fresh and using the whole continuity of the game series as their entry point. Given they're picking up after Forces and essentially have to build this mishmash world that Sega has pretty much just been like, "Whatever, Sonic can be in a city, a floating island, ancient caverns, and spaceships all in the same game" and trying to make it ... make sense, I think it's to be expected. I hated the "zombot" stuff when I heard about it, but after reading through the series thus far, I like it. I never got into the Archie stuff, though I've seen some good things here and there, and I think IDW is on the right track. If Sega don't put Tangle and Whisper into the next Sonic game, I'll be confused.

Don't forget the comic included with the Sonic movie DVD. Even the second movie ended up getting one.
