Didn’t need a makeover imo so much as very thorough cleaning, an exterminator contract because those rodents will just come back inside, and imo some significant therapy to deal with the burgeoning hoarding. I have no idea why anyone was fiddling about with molding and frills when there were mice all over the dining room and evidence of rot around the windows etc.

@@maddscientist3170 Depending upon the jurisdiction, the rodent turds, especially in the dining area, could well be a reason to have the children removed. My daughter is a former police officer (Colorado) and she informed a family member living in Oregon that the condition of their house could be grounds to have the kids taken. It was about the level of dirty that this house is, except there were no mouse droppings in the kitchen or on the table.

I know many real estate agents are uncomfortable telling owners the truth about their home if the home is messy and dirty. Unfortunately, they often wait months before getting the help they need. Yes, money must be spent to properly prepare a house for sale, but it needs to be spent and come out of the proceeds from the property when it sells. Realtors are reluctant to show houses that have been on the market for a long time unless the house has been cleaned up. It's a hard sell when the house is dirty and messy and potential buyers will demand a lower sale price if the property is a mess. This includes maintenance of outside space.

Better but still looks dated. Needs a designer or stylist to improve it further. The fireplace must be from the 70s 😅

Ok her children need discipline!!! And she has too much junk. It could be beautiful. I hope she gets a cleaning lady I. Her next home on a regular basis. I am not a troll , I think this lady could be a cleaner more organized mother.

I agree. Having a new partner will surely improve her situation. Thank you from a former single mom (grandma of 3 by now) 😊🙏

Make sure your kids have access to high-quality and special art supplies, and they won't feel the need to draw on the walls. Bonus: they can hang the stuff they like and rotate it out instead of crossing out their misspellings but having to see them forever. Imagine the pride they feel when you frame a particularly appealing drawing. We still have a vase of flowers in pastel drawn in preschool hanging. No one identifies it as a child's work.

Perfect example of a delusional and inept parent when one mistakes "creative" children for the lack of one's own teaching and disciplinary skills. Wonder if the future husband is the same....since like attracts like ?

The DR table would be trash. I know its psychological, but there's not enough bleach/vinegar/ammonia in the world to make that okay.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a house that's all done and designed. That means it's not mine. I want it to look like ME, not some designer.
Painting that beautiful woodwork ought to be an arrestable crime. It destroys the original charm and character, which is a big reason to love this place. Don't like it? Buy something else.

She is making huge mistake. I hope her money stays her money. She seems quite a few cents in the dollar. My guess is the kids are just not going to get on. They have no discipline so the new husband is going to insist. Blood is thicker than water. I see a black moon rising..

Wow these comments are harsh! Ya'll realize that it makes for more entertaining tv if they don't clean up the mouse droppings before the camera crew arrives, right? And who cares if kids color on the walls of their own bedrooms?! It's their house and they're not hurting anyone. Yes they should paint over it if they want to sell the house but it's not some big moral failure to draw on a wall 🙄 give me a break.
