I'm guessing the owner of this house somehow allowed it. Maybe he sold that portion of the garden to that neighbour. Who knows.
The New Forest ponies are ancestors to our Newfoundland Pony. Sadly, there are only 400-600 left.

Maybe that's why in the end they got it cheaper after the survey was completed.
It always surprises me how ,even when the houses get larger, the number of bathrooms stays the same.
I don't understand how the neighbours was able to build into their land. Can't be legal.
They might have had an agreement with the previous owners, and bought a section. It happens.
They might have been the original builder of both sides, and took a slice of the land.
There's lots of reasons. There's no way they just built a garage on a piece of land not theirs without serious consequences.
The property looks like it has been split from what was a larger single dwelling. Meaning a side portion of the house has been sectioned off to sell.
They could build a fence blocking the garage so the yard just has a jut in it.
The young woman said she'd make it pretty. It could be a plus. Put a trellis up it with a climbing plant like clematis; put a pretty mirror on it to reflect flowers and greenery, attach flower baskets. I'm sure it will look lovely.
I think Phil said the neighbor had an easement.
How can the neighbour build his garage onto the property?
I’m assuming there was an agreement at some point between whoever was living in the two houses when the garage was being built; otherwise it would’ve been torn down.
Because it was there own?

The neighbours' garage in the garden is bad news, indicate problem neighbours who don't respect boundaries and will continue to make your life difficult. These people don't stop unless they're stopped, they're bullies
We don't know the circumstances. It may have been that the neighbour sold off a plot of land to the side of their house to build another house on.
The current neighbours might not do be the ones that built that garage.
How can you call them names when you don't have any idea about the circumstances?

Thing in the U. k. They have sold off there gardens. This is the problem !
Is this our Library of Congress??? Then none of these British Citizens have a right to say anything!!! We fought a war that settled that question in 1776!
Love the show but yipes, many of them ugly houses for so much money. Tunnel-like hallways, gardens that are a barren patch, no decor to speak of. And some of them built within inches of each other! Shocking.
This the Uk though. Houses are going to be older and smaller.
