I have been doing this for 56 years and still love it but here is my question, how is your health. would you be willing to spend the fee for a school and not be able to stand all day. I still make it a point to be on my feet and remind my students that they will not be able to sit. However here is a good note, I have seen rolling stools used by many stylist to do a hair cut, but they may not work for a blow dry style. Being 60 does not matter, if it has always been a desire for you, then my thing is DO IT!! Find a a reasonably priced school and move forward. Depending on where you live the hours needed for a license vary and you do need so many "hours" of schooling to test for your license. On my next video I will make it a point to talk about how I got into the industry and now I would not leave it. 56 years, who stays with their profession that long. .. . . .me. Good luck
I am in cosmetology school now, started at 67. Now, turned 68 in May. My last semester starts in August. I love it and I am keeping up with 19 and 20 year olds. Do it!
