    Dear Teacher I wanted to share that the wolf cut style is becoming very popular here in Korea, just as you predicted. Many people are requesting wolf cuts with perms. You have taught us about wolf and shaggy cuts around four times now, and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge again. It has given me another opportunity to review and understand these styles better. Thank you so much for your excellent teaching. I am also revisiting razor cuts and continuously practicing coloring. I am eagerly waiting for your book to be published. I wish you and your family health and happiness from Korea. If it's not too much trouble, could you please share your email address in your upcoming color book? Warm regards,

    Thank you for that. I was mainly referring to the difference between vertical and horizontal graduation, not layering. Thanks anyway!

    • @chrisisrogue
      @chrisisrogue Місяць тому

      So many variables to explain hair cutting verbiage so are you talking about for example an A-line as a graduation, because others would be layered. Where on the head form do you have a problem on the visual or finished look of the haircut. Anything below the peritial line if cut horizontally will shoe a defined line. Vertical will create more movement however not necessarily volume above the peritial line. When you elevate the hair out at the center occipital, and continue traveling to the peritial line holding the hair out at a 90 yet cutting horizontally you will be able to see the defined lines. So again my understanding of a graduation hair cut is more of an A-line. One hint, try doing diagonal cutting with a 90 degree elevation and take note of the results, see if that helps. Good Luck and Take Care

    Hello, Teacher, I wanted to express my gratitude for explaining the Vidal Sassoon's Five-Point Cut to me a while back. Since you started your classes on UA-cam, I've been learning and mastering the techniques diligently. Hearing the "why" and "how" from you, something I hadn't heard from anyone else, has made my journey in cosmetology more enjoyable and fulfilling than ever before. I'm even experimenting with color, getting wigs from eBay to try out different shades. I'm eagerly hoping for your color dictionary to come out this year. I wish you and your family good health and peace always. Best regards, S.Korea ❤❤

      The cut that I am wearing is the same that I just showed. What the difference is I left the perimeter line out at the temporal and nape area as I showed for a 0 degree with layers. Believe it all not all that movement was created with hot rollers. I refuse to be a slave to the curling iron. When I do the clipper cutting I will demo the truth and why's on leaving a point in the finished hair cut. Thank you for watching

    What about the rods that don’t have the attachment at the ends how do you make those stay in place without the rod coming off

    • @chrisisrogue
      @chrisisrogue 2 місяці тому

      Those are more difficult and because of the tension you need to do in the wrap it is best not to use them, remember the hair swells when the perm solution is added, so if it is stretched to strong, breakage could occur. Those rods also have less control to stay evenly on the head form without a lot of stress on the hair strand.

    My loop rods won’t stay closed what is the problem?

    • @chrisisrogue
      @chrisisrogue 2 місяці тому

      Possibly because you are holding them at a 90 degree, hold them as you wrap in a 45 degree away from the direction you are wrapping. Practice this on a manikin. BTW, keep the tension as you wrap to secure the loop rod.

Hopefully by the end of this year, it deals with each level and each tone of color so like I said very detailed and participation is helpful for complete understanding.

    Thank you for your video. I know it was a few years ago but I’ve contemplated doing mine at home as I deal w chronic pain. I bought the perm rods, the perms itself, the papers etc. Only problem is, I’m having a hard time finding someone to come to my home to do it. I’ve said I’ll pay for their time etc but ppl are quoting the same cost as if I was in their chair. Ugh. But thank you, very informative.

      The reality in truly learning hair color is to know what happens with color and how it is created. It is a true fact that there are only three colors and it takes us knowing how they are created and results we get when we combine them is a major factor. the last chapter in my book goes deep into color, but keep in mind products are all slightly different and clients are slightly different, so practice and journal results to truly understand. Good Luck
