So, is 1600 watts close to the upper limit for what most portable power stations can handle regarding solar input, or are there portable power stations that can handle considerably more solar input(?)
Most handle less but EcoFlow and bluetti handle a lot and are expandable and kinda modular. So can stack and add batteries but zendure now has a big unit but still working out kinks on that one but i think they are close. EcoFlow also has there power kits and are real nice. That’s what I hope to move to soon. Will see.
I tried to put some UV protectant on my panels too and then realized they were not producing energy as much as they used to. First I did not make the connection ... but then I realized that they started producing less energy since I used the UV protectant. And it makes sense ... it is the UV light that makes the Silicon waffles give energy. You don't want anything on the panels that would block UV light go through :)
Lol so simple yet I didn’t even think about that. It’s probably true, a UV protection spray is supposed to prevent UV light from making it all the way through. Now I guess I need to see if there really is any difference. Now if there is, does the spray truly protect it and is it worth the trade off..🤔

Always A nay sayer. Give me a break the only damage that heat could do is the paint maybe remove the panels once a year and check for damage. I seriously doubt there would be any. Wait and see what others experienced. Always don't buy the bestest and greatest wait and see prices usually go down as well. 73

We have a very similar setup on our class A motorhome, ( thin panels, that we can remove when we don’t need them).
In past experience, ( at our home using the same panels), we discovered that if glued or taped directly to any surface doesn’t allow enough heat to escape, ( fire hazard). And the panels don’t last nearly as long. All of our panels are elevated 1” above the surface of the roof, ( ours are mounted on 1” tall posts), all held down via screws into the posts, ( no holes drilled into the roof, ( our roof is one piece fiberglass with no supports underneath, ( typical on Tiffins).
Other than that we are very happy with our setup, many of our panels are now over 4 yrs old and still going strong.
We only need solar when we boondock, which is only once or twice a year, so we store all our panels in one of our bays stacked like a deck of cards. It does take and hour or two to screw them all down to the pre- mounted posts, then plug into the mc4 connector on the roof.
I just bought a couple of the new Bouge RV 200 watt Yuma CIGS flexible panels and have been seeing how well they work. I'm like you I don't like drilling holes in my roof. 2000 watts of solar is great. My trailer is not as big as yours so I'll have to have less watts on the roof. But I have some ridged panels that I can put on the ground if needed. Great video!!
I have one cigs on my roof now that is charging the house batts, and all the others for the big stuff. Converter is never on lol. Awesome and congrats on the new panel. Let me know how it does.
I use durabond rv roof repair tape and I put corrugated plastic under the pane to let water out
I decided on rigid 200 watt panels and using channel strut as the base mounting system. So it will be easy to move, slide, replace panels as needed. The channel comes in 10 foot lengths and I can screw them directly into joists or cross members for super sturdy connection.
I thought about doing the same but again with weight and drilling holes and you hope you hit the joist l every time.
But c channel has been used for a long time and makes it easy. But so far these are doing great. Haven’t moved since placed
@@johnnysweekends I am replacing my entire roof, plywood, TPO membrane and upgrading everything so I thought it would be real easy to track the center of each joist for the channel install. It is about a 3k dollar job just for the materials.

look at the EG4 3000EHV-48 as it will do up to 500 VDC, 80A for 5KW solar input and output 3KW @120v 25A. couple that with a couple of server rack batteries for 10Kwh of storage. The unit also supports the remote start of a generator.
I have looked into a lot and still am. Only problem is the turn on voltage is kinda high for the EG4 3000 I think it was at least 120v turn on, which mine lives around 105-110v so I would need a little smaller unit with this setup. Something like the growatt could work. I looked at that a while ago and could fit many RV setups. And is a little cheap.
I’ll have to start looking again. Been busy trying to finish up other items…😀👍🏼

I’ve been looking for a video like this , thanks for sharing your ideas. I’m planning to do the same thing on my small TT , do you have a video on how running the wires from the roof to inside your TT?.
I don’t on mine but I’m sure there are others. As a lot of trailers are different and you have to find a path from the top all the way to your termination point. That can be different for many trailers.
Hobotech channel just did a video on solar panels similar to this that have the glue made into them, they are peel and stick. Also, you can walk on them. He shot five holes in a panel and it still worked. He ran a side-by-side over the panel with the bullet holes, plus drug it top side down over gravel, it still worked. Only draw back, they are expensive.
Yea I did my way before his was out. Although he needs another one for long term testing. I have one new one, and the original one my now.

Yea I will add a DP extra battery at some point, and I have both adapters so the ecoflow set up can be fully automated to run off smart gen and solar. I am going to play with and test more but dude,,,,its really getting pretty cool…😀👍🏼
I use 303 on my boat and love it. Especially for the UV protection. I wonder if that UV band is partially beneficial for the panel power production though?
I love 303 as well. It was even invented and distributed right done the road from me. First time I used it was in 1996.
Now being it’s a UV protecting agent to block harmful UV rays. I wonder if it will hurt performance…🤔🤷🏼♂️

This is my first go at solar for my 23' TT and nothing fancy, My question is I planned on VHB to the roof and all 4 sides with 2 or 4 " everbond but looking at the professional DYIers videos I am wondering if I am missing something in sealing the edges?

I have 5 "should of did 6"Canadian Solar 420 on my rv. The flexible panels are amazing in comparison.
I couldn’t do more then 3 large panels on my Rv because of the roof setup maybe 4 if I didn’t want to walk lol
What are your thoughts about how to recover from damaged panels? If your tape fails, failures during traveling or any # of reasons. Will you be able to remove the panel(s) from the roof without damaging the roof?
Yup thought about all that. I was told top use a adhesive from the company but to remove that left over adhesive it a no go on these types of roofs. The adhesive tape can be peeled up with heat and good oil wd-40 works wonders to undo the adhesive. Yes it will take a little work and you will need to just take your time, but I could peel these up if i want but then you have to redo everything. They stuck down well and so far nothing has moved. I will definitely be checking at every stop for a bit but since they dont drag or catch wind like a rigid panel setup I dont see them really moving. Maybe the front one because it has the most wind lift possible.
@@johnnysweekends maybe try adding a strip of builders foil tape across this front surface to deflect the wind over the first panel, you could give it a quick touch of white paint if u dont like the alloy look.

I like the job you did with the panels but those ecoflow units are very expensive.
They are priced pretty far now to comparable units but yes there are cheaper options
Great video! That said... curious to know if you gave any consideration to running longer flex panels(?) I've heard (can't recall who at the momment) that there are a few high-end flex panel companies who will cut flex panels to custom size lengths, which would not only cut down on the number of individual panels, but would also cut down on the lengthy wire runs and extra connections(?) Again, just curious to see if you maybe considered this before buying all the individual panels for this project(?)
I know there are a couple companies like that but i think one is like military grade and the others are in different countries, and from what I remember it was not cheap, at all lol.

I was thinking that using a J-roller is a good way to adhere the panels to the surface without damaging them. What do you think?
I think that would work as well but a larger more broad one. It doesn’t take much they pressure mine are good 👍🏼
I would have used spacers between panel and the roof for better airflow.
the ecoflow delta pro has a extender battery you can extend that delta you might get more solar than befor
Correct. The delta pro can be attached to delta pro extra battery but that’s does not have a controller in it. Only DP does so that mppt is maxed at 1600 watts or 150v/15amp

How are you hooked I to the RV power system. I get the install, not how it hooks into the RV.
Im working on a Thomas built trolley bus/ motor home conversion and looking to cover the roof parts with the flexible panels. Im not sure what the size is supposed to be for the VHB tape to securely attach the panels to the roof. I was planning on using the 2 inch wide version but it looks like some come with 4 inch wide around the perimeter. Also, I was wondering if the tape should have gaps in it to allow some convection air to flow under to reduce heat build up. Looks like I need to repaint the roof since the clear coat is mostly off and the base green metalic paint is chaulky.
I have seen the installs with coragated plastic underneath but this negates the use of a flexible panel in the first place for me since all the panels have to follow some shallow curves.
When mounting the panels try to get them flat as possible for best performance. I used the 3m vhb tape and has worked well. Over 6000 miles and all haven’t moved. If you watch the video you see where I placed gaps in the tap. That way water and some air can flow through. Here is the tape i used amzn.to/42ZY0Ng
Would it make sense to get 1" PVC pipe (or an appropriate size) and fish the black wires through it to help protect the wiring? Securing the PVC pipe is another question for another day.
Sure it would help but its another step and would need much larger then one inch where they all come together. These wires are meant to be out side and should last longer then the panels I would think. And I will continue to monitor and also continue treating my roof every 6 months with protectant.
Can you give us an update on how the solar panels are sticking to the roof? What type of roof do you have? My Geo Pro has a TPO roof and I'm worried about wind flowing under the solar panels and lifting the TPO membrane from the luan underneath.
I have a TPO roof as well. And im just over 7000 miles roughly. Already been to AZ twice this year for the Q and then back to Bearizona and Lake Havasu and a detour and back home. Those trips are about 2100 miles total. Then the trips from last year. Towing speeds up to 76 a few times just for testing when roads were clear….but most times my tow speeds are 60-63 and up to 68 in excellent conditions and maybe a slight tail wind or passing. None have moved and roof looked the same. Ill be doing an update video at the one year mark or close and Ill test all panels and see if im good or I screwed up lol. So far I can still max my controller of 1600 watts when angled right. 👍🏼

Johnny...any update on these? I know it's only been 3 months (well, the video was). I keep hearing negative things about mounting flexible panels on an RV roof. I know you did the Renogy in this video, but I'm really curious about the Bouge RV CIGS. I know you did a quick comparison but I can't find anyone that has installed these CIGS panels on their RV and reported on it. Thanks!
Hey, yea it will be 4 months and they made it through 115+ degree summer days and all is well. Now its only 4 month. I also installed the Cigs a couple weeks ago. So will see how it holds up. I will be doing an update video right about 6 months. But they will be featured in other videos as well but not much on for checking condition.
@@johnnysweekends Thanks. I just know that some people put on the flexible Renogy panels and reported a downgrade in productivity where they were mounted onto an RV roof, because of the lack of airflow on a direct mount.
I know the CIGS (from your video) have a significantly lower temperature, and seem like a viable option (with better output), but it's a lot of money to go all in with those if they have the same issues as the Renogys after a long time mounted on an RV roof.
For the price of the eco flow...you could get a large lipo bank and inverter.
That’s true…but it’s more involved and kinda a permanent mount. Plus you still need charge controller and wire it up. Slightly more involved but if you want simple the DPs are really nice and can be easily removed. All depends what ya want or comfortable with
Hi Johhny - great video - I always learn something new. I noticed you have an extra battery (maybe a DELTA 2 Max Extra Battery) connected to your Delta Pro. I was under the impression that you could only connect a Delta Pro extra battery to the Delta Pro is that not correct? Maybe they updated the firmware to support the different batteries? thank you!
Hello and thank you. According to EcoFlow yes only DP extra batt works. Well sort of. Yes im using a Delta 2 max extra battery and it works great but you are limited to the draw and specs of that battery. It’s rated at 2400 watts max draw and not 3600 like the DP. So it can be over heated but charging is fine. I prefer the way it operates as DP will fill first then extra batt. Then extra batt will drain first then DP. So if you dont need max power which I rarely go over 2000 watt draw its a great setup that is smaller and smart gen still works great or another smaller generator.

Why did you not go with the hard frame. The trapped heat will impact performance and the life of your panels.
Pros and cons with rigid and flexible. One year update on this while setup with each panel tested and more. Stay tuned and will see if it’s junk or….
@@johnnysweekends I understand people are concerned about drilling holes. If you look at our roof, there are a ton of holes. I am certain these panels will not work for me as the AZ heat....112 degree day, the panels can get 130+?
@freewaylee not having to drill holes is only one of the pros. There are more. But yea if you camp and live in extreme temp areas like where you are then performance will be less. But that will be of any panel. Glass can get extremely hot as well.
Just for reference i do live in one of the hottest places in the state. From mid June to end of August we see temps above 100F for weeks at a time and many days over 110F and a few over 115F. I have measured temps of over 160F on my roof. You will see these kind of temps as well on a glass panel.
But when it comes to my rv. I built it for me now. Not for the next person in 5-7 years. Which when kids are gone I will probably down size. Most people only own recreational toys an average of 7 years.
But I will have a full update soon so we all can see how they are doing. I also know others with flex panels and honestly there are really only one or two brands and only a couple models that are good. They got such a bad wrap in the beginning especially those sun power things. They were junk.
Now is rigid better, yes! But again pros and cons to both which I’ll go over.
Awesome awesome vid! I have a similar set up. 2 questions! What cable do you use going into the 30A port on the delta pro and secondly, the delta max extra battery will work with the delta pro?!?
The 30 amp port is from my generator which goes to my ATS. But im only running one leg and since a lot of trailers come wired on a 208Y setup I can run the whole trailer of a 30 amp. But I will overload if im trying to run everything. I can run both AC units of DP with soft starts. Of course it won’t last long but the power is there. And yes EcoFlow said the D2M extra batt is not compatible but when I did my review of the D2M which that’s a new favorite for sure, I used the extra batt on the DP and it worked like it should for 4 days. Charged and discharged great. 👍🏼😀
Your giving me more confidence in VHB tape holding the panels down after watching the video. I want to put some panels on my Outback travel trailer to also power a Delta Pro. A big thank you for the 303 UV protection tip!
I don't know if they were available to you but did you consider 24v panels? I like the idea of getting 120v out of only three panels to feed the Delta Pro.
No 24v panels available in this type. I would of loved a higher input voltage. Normal son far seems to be 105-107 ish. Going to get hot now so i assume closer to 100 maybe now that upper 90s are coming.
you do some great work my friend .I only have one Renogy 100 watt flex panel (older ones) and it only puts out 60 watts. I was very underwhelmed to say the least. But im pleased with the other Renogy products i have. My recent purchase is a Renogy Bifacial 115 watt panel. I maybe replacing my other junky Nature Power panels with the Renogy Bifacial panels. I like the small foot print (30.9 x 30 x 1.2 inches) I wonder if you went with the CIGS 100 watt flexible solar panels how many could you have put on the roof of your RV. foot print is 85.6" long x 13.7" wide
I’ll going to be looking at the cigs 200 watt soon.
And if you have the older flex panel and under ideal conditions it’s putting out 60 watts I would say that’s about right or a little under. The older ones were not as good. But also they degrade after a while.

@@johnnysweekends only thing with the CIGS they are quite expensive. But if the panels are rated for 200 watts you will get over that of very close to 200 watts, which many panel underperform in many cases because its hard to get ideal conditions with the Weather modification going on. But that's a whole other can of worms. Best of luck my friend. That said if you get 200 watts its worth the extra money im guessing.

So I know you said 10awg on roof then you said 8awg to fuse box? Did you run 10awg on roof to roof inlet then 8awg from roof inlet to breaker box? Didn’t see that wire in your list. Trying to copy your setup
My original wires from the roof are 10g. I ran a new set and roof mount for the large array which is 8G to my breaker/disconnect. The original has a small array of 200 watts with a cigs im testing. I may move it as I dont like the location

@romo9296 they do not you have to do 10g and make your own with a xt60i connector you get on eBay and solder it.
Or use the one supplied.
I’m using the power kit now so those are 10g each.
Hey Johnny. It's been over a month since you posted this video and summer should be in full swing, even in NorCal. How much loss have seen with the warmer temps. I'm in KS and it definitely gets hot and humid here. I've considered getting a pair of these flexible 200w panels and building pvc frames for them to keep them portable. Thinking they should produce well even in the heat since they will have plenty of airflow around them. Any thoughts?
Well I can still peak to 1600 watts for my delta when all angles are good. Normally a good 3 months will be a good way to tell a little loss but I would assume to be fair I’ll have to wait till next year and get some other equipment as well for more testing and may be changing my setup some.
How do you remove a panel if it goes bad / breaks?
Wd40 and a large plastic scraper to slowly break the vhb loose. Heat will help as well but you don’t want to just pry it up.
we race motorcycles.. our batteries are 72 volt... charged to 84.. how can I use solar to charge my batteries?
You will need a a higher voltage solar charge controller and wiring the solar at a higher voltage of at least 105 volts or higher would be better like 120/140 volt .
That can very depending on the panels you use which is fine.
appreciate your videos. many instaling sucg flexibe panrls insist that you ahould put something to avoid heating thr roof of the RV too much. you addessws the burnout issue, has there been any problems since the making of th8s video? tthx again for all the videos!

If you pay attention to what you are doing then your risk is low.
I know people who have flex panels … only the renogy on there roof over 4 years and still going strong and roof looks the same.
Mine has been through my whole summer with day temps from 112-116 degrees ambient temp with roof temp over 140. Nothing they can’t handle.
I’ll be doing an update but inspect once a month and looks exactly the same the day I installed.
Fuses at roof inlet, and breaker down below. Don’t let someone who bought cheap crap panels make you think all flex are junk. I have seen rigid burn up plenty.

@@jerrygundrum1 you get what you pay for buy cheap panels you can expect anything and everything. It's best to put air space between the panel and the surface anyways. These better panels won't hurt a vehicle or it's surface. if you put these on trailers with no airflow then you can expect anything. I'm not saying I would buy these panels you don't need solar panels while driving, the alternator will charge the batteries . I would use solar at the campsite when not driving. This is all new and improvements will follow. 73

Only 3,600 watts battery storage from the Delta pro power station, for $6500??(I looked up the price) NO thank you. I have 15,360 watts of batteries that cost about $5,000. and I have more than 4 times the storage. Add to that my 6,000 watt inverter (because the delta pro has one), was $1200. All in all, much much cheaper then the Delta pro. I also have 4350 watts of solar, ridged type 435 watts each on the roof. all on a 40 foot motor home. Works Great.
Not sure where you got those prices. But the delta pro has a 3600 watt inverter with 7200 watt surge and 3600wh capacity. Runs prices of $2599 to $2799 if you are paying the old $3200 your paying way to much.
Now sure piecing it together is always better but some people do not have the DIY knowledge and when it comes to time to sell the RV you just pull it out. 3 mins your done. Most people sell installed kits at a big loss.
You’re also talking about a 40ft MH. Not really apples to apples as you have more real-estate and workable room. Every rv setup is different in panels size and choices you can use. Rigid are great and have their own pros and cons as flexible.
I have moved to the power kit and have over 15kwhs now. Im adding 400 watts more of solar as my antenna up top serves no purpose. So it will go. But sounds like a nice setup
I love the idea of flex panels, my only question so far is in regards to heat dissipation with no airflow underneath. Is it an issue? Do these panels run hotter than rigid panels mounted an inch or so above the roof?
You will always get a little more heat build then something with airflow under it. But they all run really hot.

Every solar panel will drop in output no matter rigid or flex. Heat robs power regardless on all items generators as well, batteries and more. Flex will always output less regardless. The difference is weight savings and ease of install and less aerodynamic drag.
How are you hooked I to the RV power system. I get the install, not how it hooks into the RV.
Roof inlet up top drops wires into the rv and then upfront to my EcoFlow power kit setup. This rv was gen prepped so it has a transfer switch which made AC hook up easy

I was just curious what type of solar system and panel you recommend for a beginner just getting into solar for a trailer we have only a two battery system on the front of our travel trailer. Don’t consume a lot of power just the kids leaving on all the lights, and so on, and so forth lol.
You could easily buy a suitcase type system that unfolds unless you want to mount it. The unfold type can be cheaper rigid panels but are heavier or a lighter folding panel that’s about twice the price or more. You can see my solar panel suitcase build out of harbor freight solar panels. Nice build and simple 😀

Buy once cry once. Get the good stuff from the get go. Do not use flexible panels on your Rv roof. They will burn up the roof, don’t last long, cost more and degrade fast. It will cost more money in the long run and get worst results. Be warned about these all in one units. you void the warranty if you don’t use their solar panels and if not connected a certain way, you will ruin the charge controller..They sound neat but when one part inside breaks they are not serviceable and you lose your $3500 and keep a solar box with no solar LOL. Seen it
Time and time again these things are are not reliable in the long run and people end up going with a real Victron setup anyway.
Ahh not exactly. Victron is good stuff, but they better switch up soon to these modular units that are 3 and 4 pieces.
Now if you are full time sure then maybe spending the money on a full victron system would be best in the long. The main market is weekend warriors and short timers and they could easily do a lot them selves now with these new kits and not over spend. And they are only getting better.
Some of these solar Rv installers are charging a ton for simple systems and sometimes over building for customers who don’t need it then they sell the trailer and because the install is so complicated th he won’t uninstall it and loose thousands. These kits are so easy they can take it and use for home back up and more. And as long as you don’t abuse it they last fine like any piece of equipment. Sure some have issues. But they are only getting better.
I wanted a victron system but with so many other options, heck even eg4 type you can get way more and it’s plenty robust.
And they are way cleaner of a install verses some of the night mares I have seen. No wonder no one wants to install it. I can and I don’t even want to anymore.
And again most people don’t need that much. One person I know was talked into a decent system that was $15k for everything. Such a waist as mine can do the same and more.
Again they better start looking into those types of 3 /4 piece designs. That’s the way the market is headed.

all solar panels are normally made from a Chinese manufacturer but if its a no name brand but the same unit verses a named company you will likely get better service or at least warranty help

I will have to double check but yea he did great work on flex panel mounting. Only problem was the flex solar panels he has were honestly junk and have a bad track record. The renogy 175s and will see on these so far have the best track record and I cant find and reports of these types with burns or fire and more. The sun power flex are honestly trash from everything I have read up on.
ANd i did do a lot of research. But now I wish I did cigs lol. The shade output is amazning which is normally a problem on all RVs
I do not believe the solar panels fought on fire or anything. It was more of a heat soak issue that turned his roof yellow/brown and I am sure damaged the roof material. I went with the traditional hard panels but was thinking hay! What about these super thin flex panels for my slide outs! Just need to tape them down and plug them in when at camp site ? Any ideas?
@davidgroves8049 yea they did do some discoloration but it didn’t actually damage the roof. But who knows maybe it will on mine and if it does I guess I’ll coat it. I hate these rubber roofs. So will see.
But yea I think a couple people have already done that. Now of course it only works as long as the sun it getting to the slide which depending how your parked will get a lot less solar exposure just do to slide edges and obviously the Rv it self. Wiring it nicely is the hardest part obviously.

I have seen both rigid and taped flexible panels fly off.

Stay away from flexible panels. We have both and the flexible panels heat up and produce less output. Hard panels can breath from the back and run more watts. I wish I hd known this b4 I spent the $$$$$$$.
Pros and cons to both.
Rigid will always perform better and if you are primarily in hotter climates then rigid will be better. I’m not so hot areas or maybe temps of 100f and less the renogy flex 200s have done extremely well even though I have them in much higher temps.
Rigid will also suffer from less output in high temps.
They also require more maintenance
Add more weight
Cause more drag
And are more deadly if they come off.

Those panels are trash. You're gonna have dirt, pine needles and debris underneath them.
Ahh man they are still killing it! No trash under these but I try to avoid being under messy trees. Lifted one off and repositioned it. Looked great under it.
@@johnnysweekends They only last about five years before they start falling apart. It's a bummer deal but it's a fact. I almost got some and someone told me to just Google it at least. Sure enough for him after Forum of them falling apart. Hard panels will last 25 years.
@justinlyle7831 There is no doubt rigid panels will always perform better. But there are pros and cons to both rigid and flex when used on a RV. Now sure flex panels definitely have a bad rap. But after months of research the only ones I have found that performed and lasted at all where the newer style renogy 175 ETFE coated. Many still have these and are doing pretty darn well. The sun power and other panels were junk. But remember flex panels are still kinda new and have only gotten a lot better in the last couple years. And will continue. When it comes to RVs and vans, most people never keep that recreational vehicle longer than 7 years. That is the average anyone keeps a boat, rv, toy and even cars and trucks. So when you sell it most all that extra retains little value. I see it all the time people trying to sell rvs with $25k setups that they installed only 2, maybe 3 years earlier to only sell it because life changes. And it only adds maybe $5k to the sale price unfortunately.
One thing I forgot to mention which I will in the update video, is the fact that people lack on maintenance. It’s fact, not all but a lot do and also their diy skills may not be great, so when rigid is installed and forgot about, well they can and do fly off. Flex can as well but what would you rather hit? Flex may dent or scratch but a rigid can kill someone. Plus aerodynamic drag is much more with rigid panels. So less mpg over time adds up.
So will these put out 80% or better in 5 years…🤷🏼♂️ Idk but someone has to test them. So why not. One year update in a month or so.

@danieltimisan6820 first off, I don’t need the products, I don’t do commercials and second I’m part of a solar installation business. Family business. I can get all the solar stuff I need for cheap and install it when ever.
Residential products are relatively boring. But seems more people wanna know so I’ll soon do more on that topic.
But what’s fun about a residential panel at 335 watts.. then ohh look a new 350 watt panel… ohh a new 395…400..405 and so on.
If you are wondering how they are doing, they are doing excellent. I just removed one two weeks ago to see how it did after almost a full year in over 115f heat. And guess what they are fine and so is the roof. Sure a pinch of discoloration, 😱 oh no!
I trie to give people info they need to make a decision if said product will work for them. There is premium and budget products in every aspect of life.
No matter what you buy.
I will tell you this, there are several pros to flex panels, and several cons. Same with rigid panels. I could argue the differences all day.
It all depends what’s best for your project, there is no one way.
And I still buy many products with my own money. If you believe it or not.
And many items never even make it on the channel because when tested they are junk or don’t perform as advertised. So I tell them to fix it, revamp it or simply tell them sorry I’ll pass.
I don’t know what else you expect, but I simply give people info to help them make a good decision for the project they are building.
Again I don’t need the free stuff, it’s a hobbie, they send it… I check it out, if it’s cool and works as it should in a decent price range then sure I’ll review it.

So much wrong info in one statement. One research rigid verses flex, then show me how many fires you have seen with both. Not one video. And then search the brand and type. Because so far the 175 renogy and 200 models have little to no records of fires unless it was damaged or install error. I have seen plenty of rigid melt down as well.
