    I have used basically the same method with press dried pansies. You have to be very careful with the flowers, because they are very fragile. They, too, make nice earnings or other jewelry items.

    I’m wanting to make bookmarks this way. I have several bookmark molds, but filling them, makes them too thick for a lot of books. I could either pour the mold halfway full, then I’d have to trim around the edges. Or I could try this method. Thanks for showing different ways to make things!

    • @RedRockingBird

      With something as large as a bookmark you might see some bending from the heat during the curing process, test one and see what you think. Hard to get resin that thin and even isn’t it! Best of luck

    Wonder if regular stickers would work on these sheets? And, how would they work if we uv resin'd them then inserted inside a bevel? Or any suggestions on stickers in bevels?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  3 місяці тому

      They do, the heat of the resin wants to make things curl a bevel would make it even easier

    Brilliant Sarah,
    Does the resin not want to "fall off" the edge of the acetate?
    Take care Sarah.
    Cheers, Huw

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  Рік тому +1

      Hi Huw, because of the viscosity it domes up, avoid cutting too sharp a corner as it pulls more towards the middle, so rounder cuts work best, but the shapes here all worked with slightly rounded edges. If you don’t get level then yes it could pour off, I find it easier with the uv resin as you get to cure it straight away and that one of mine is thicker.
      I’ve done this with epoxy resin before and when I came back to them a couple had been knocked and poured off. But epoxy works great. Just make sure to seal the edges at the end to attach both sides together otherwise they might pop off the plastic. Thanks 😊

    • @RedRockingBird
