This was truly a good video! (They all are but this one was a little better) Saw different types of fish, aquariums, products, toturials on different subjects, throwbacks, sadness, smiles - pretty much a little slice of everything, i loved it! - And that piranha tank, WOW!
you might do well with getting 3 or 4 sand sifting starfish for the seahorses. they're less invasive than the shrimp and of course slower, and they'll eat what does fall into the sandbed keeping it even more clear, and they're good, in my experience, eating the brown slime algaes that appear
And they’ll looks super-cool! 👍🏻
That sounds unbelievably awesome!
Yes or sand sifting gobies . Great tank Joey
@Dianoia Noesis not typically, but with seahorses being so passive they can be considered too "aggressive" in some cases like shown here. sand sifting stars are much slower and less aggressive and while they have eyes they can't see well and won't specifically target an area. turbo snails will stick to rockwork and glass and not touch the open sand bed much, and in my experience will absolutely eat the caulerpa and other macro algae that's trying to be grown here
I'd say nassarius snails or serpent stars are a good idea too. Perhaps a tiger conch because they're cool. 😎 Gotta have cool points.
As someone who has been watching and following you for around 5 years, can I just say thank you for entertaining me through some of the darkest times in my life and the changes have been a pleasure to see. If you ever feel like you are wasting your time or feel like your content is not getting the views you want, know that you have helped a lot of people just by uploading your passion for us to enjoy
there is nothing silly about getting excited about watching runners spread out. i love watching nature spread and take over and flourish.
Did you seriously just gave me a cliffhanger?
If you wanted to add something "different" to the seahorse tank, you could try Pipefish basically seahorses but horizontal and straight.
I would suggest a Sea Dragon. The Species of Seahorse/Pipefish that looks like seaweed floating.
Leafy Seadragon
@@RavenSaint1 can you get those legally? I've only ever seen them in public aquariums
Good shout 👍
@@RavenSaint1 Sea dragon's are difficult fish to look after. Also quite expensive for most modern fish on the market.
6 or 7 years ago you were the one that made me interested in fish now I have 4 tanks and am in love with the hobby. I recently had a catastrophe with toxic chemicals getting into two of my tanks and have to restock. I would have never had tanks if I didn't see your videos.
I always wanted to see a seahorse tank
now that you're doing the projects you enjoy instead of trying to cater new hobbyists your videos and tanks are better than ever thankyou for sharing it with us!
I am excited to see your shrimp tank. I have always found shrimp tanks to be very underrated. Everyone likes to see the monster fish but a well scaped shrimp tank and a bunch of shrimp darting around can be very entertaining to watch.
I would love to see a flamboyant cuttlefish tank
That piranha tank is something else joey. I love it.
Glad to see your excitement in the hobby again and can't wait to see your plans for the future unfold
Great job joey, you got me back into the hobby. I have a 2 gal, 10 gal, 60 gal 70 gal, 75 gal, and 125 gallon. I even have a basement room dedicated to my PC and fish tanks.
Sounds like me
Bro, you have done MORE than enough of considerate videos for people that may not have a large budget, it's time to embrace being the King of Fishkeeping, embrace showing what the best of the hobby can be. 💯💯👍👍
Just today in the morning I was looking for a new upload. Thank you!
What you keep in the tank gets smaller and your tank keepers (huge arms and shoulders) get bigger.
Amazing video! So much great information!
💪
I am soooo excited to see your empire of shrimp.
A green mandarin (aqua cultured) would be a great tank mate for the sea horses. Also tiger a few conch would really help your sand bed.
What happened with the sharks eggs?
I am so excited to see the sea horses and their update. Now I am excited for the next video 😀
You're krilling me with that shrimp teaser at the end! So excited to see!
You should seed your seahorse tank with live copepods! They will appreciate it for sure!
Think this was one of your best vids for a while Joey, genuinely looked like you were excited and reinvigorated and it’s great to see more salty critters as they really do have that personality and interest that’s not quite there with freshwater (keep both btw) 👍
You are totally wicked, now I have to wait for your next video!
Well, I was gonna watch it anyhow but still.
I love how happy you are and how pleased you are with what you’re doing and how everything is turning out I am living vicariously through you Joey, thanks……later then
The seahorse tank is an excellent candidate for a plenum/UGF system.
The arrowana seems much happier now.
Sometimes in the aquarium hobby things work out for months or even years until it doesn't. Not trying to put anything down just a fact. Even things that should work end up not working.
I love my African cichlids so your words couldn’t possibly ring any truer 😂 The amount of times I have added fish which should get on to the same tank.. next morning.. WW3 had occurred in my tank 🫣😬
So the 2000 is still a community tank, but with way larger stocking. I dig it.
Your brain never stops, you always come up with something new , something odd , something interesting. That’s why we keep coming back ,trying to keep up with you and see what you’re doing it . Gathering any information we can from you. I love it you keep my heart beating lol.
How are things going in the backyard? Have you decided what you want to do ?
With much respect 🤗 😻
Our Zoo has a small aquatic building, and one exhibit is a cylinder tank with kelp in the center and about a dozen Seahorses.
That sounds amazing!
Awesome video joey love to see someone so excited by the hobby
I havent watched any of your vids for over a year, good to see youre doing well! Cool fish and tanks getting cooler and cooler😎
All your aquariums are beautiful, true work of art!
Having been absent for a while but after watching the seahorse tank I’m happy I came in to watch. Maybe add some pipefish with the seahorses to get some movement . Since you have all that yummy stuff for cocopods, misys, tiger pods you can see your tank with them and could be a self sustaining tank, adding all those live foods in my tank when I had my seahorse tank made the huge difference. Everything was breeding and keeping my seahorses alive for well over 6 years
STAR FISH STAR FISH! Those seahorses are the cutest EVER. so glad i got to see these cuties in a King of DIY aquarium
I LOVED 🥰 this video and I’m looking forward to seeing what new species of seahorses you get, thanks Joey
Always love your videos bro! You make it soooo hard to decide what to put in my next dream tank.
Such a interesting creature. Keep up the good work, and science
great video joey
One of my favourote tanks you’ve done Joey! I totally understand why you are excited about your salt water plants growing!
The cleaner shrimp where insanely cute - shame they didn’t work together!
And yep - now I want a “mythical” seahorse tank! : )
I do think all of your tanks are amazing, however, I've always loved sea horses and was so excited when you set yours up.
The point of ideas of what not to do with aquarium fish combinations is to prevent problems, mostly for new hobbyists
Joey looking extra swoll today 😆
Love the videos man, keep it up!
Always something new, exciting, innovative, and inspiring.
Love it, love it, love it, did i say Love it. lol thank you for your uploads look forward to them always. Seahorses are one of my favourites. Once again thank you . Much Love Bless No Less.
“He’s just so happy to get his guts filled whenever he wants” damn tyrese living the good tank life 😂
Joey video... !!!!!
Looking forward to that future video. I love shrimp they are so interesting and unique.
That Piranha Tank has started to look stunningly good. with how the pack together so much and constantly swim around =)
Dope addition Joey!
Still got my 11 tanks up an running. My son Levi just talked me Into two tiger Oscar's, lol he named them Lego, an boogie 🤣 😆
Joey back at it again with the professional teasing... Saltwater shrimp hype!
What a cliffhanger, I wanted to see that shrimp tank. I love shrimps ❤
This was a beautiful video, Mr. Joey.
Great video Joey. I only been sitting around for the last 13 days waiting for a video from you lol
I love your sea horses, they look so smart, looks like they analyze everything, they are adorable 😁🌟🌟🌟🌄🌞🌻
Great video as usual. The more you build tanks that you love rather than what the "internet" wants the better the videos are. I kept mandarinfish/ dragonets with a few different species of seahorses for years. Their diet is the same as seahorses so food was not a problem and "mine" were slow moving and none aggressive, but like you said maybe it worked for me.
Seahorses are so so hard to keep. I hope it goes well and they survive. Breeding is also very hard. I'm curious to see how it evolves.
You'll have to try Pipefish next Joey. Thanks for the update.
love your piranha tank set up
More shrimp? Oh boy can't wait!
Nice video! That L14 (sunshine pleco) is definitely a male by the way. Females have a very narrow mouth shape, males a very wide one like yours.
Awesome vid!!!! So interesting!! Do more vids like this.
Your seahorses are so adorable.
I love shrimp! What an awesome teaser!
Great Video, Mr. King Joey , 🤘👍
Look up the leafy sea dragon. It's a kind of sea horse but with "leafy wings". I dont even know if those are in the hobby but worth checking out.
They're critically endangered so its unlikely you'll find them for sale at anything less than an exorbant price.
That said they're really neat.
u have such good messages in ur videos
Awesome aquarium boss
Oh great tip! I just ordered some Zyme Monster 360. I over stock and I have so many plants, that sludge builds up under and between things. I hope this works!
Great video. I have always wanted seahorses. One day…..
I saw the seahorse at the fish store they were awesome!
Just a quick suggestion for your Seahorse tank. To help with the left over proteins that are uneaten, I would highly recommend a HOB protein skimmer. I only do marine fish setups, and I run a protein skimmer on every tank I have. Will help you tremendously with possible ammonia spikes.
His tank is plumbed and his skimmer is probably underneath.
Way cooler to bring in various clean up specialist animals to do the job.
Yay! Love shrimp in the hobby!
Conches are a good clean up crew for ur sand. Same goes with hermit crabs. Also, some other types of marcoalgea can help with water quality. Racemosa is really good for high nitrates. But do keep in mind that racemosa can to sexual. Which a part of the algea will turn white then release spots in the tank. This is harmless. Just clouds up the water for a bit.
Nerites are salt or freshwater, I know in my freshwater tank they keep the glass spotless. Super inert little critters, I've kept them with predatory fish that don't play with others as well as tanks with crystal shrimp which in my experience have always been easily spooked. I'd often times catch a crystal red picking at the backs of the nerites lol.
@@jetjazz05 nerites are freshwater. Nassarius are probably what u was thinking of but all nassarius do is clean under the sand but I haven't seen mine do much but they are all very small
The love u have for ur seahorses is so cute lol
I m checking this channel everyday for a new video!!
Some ones been working out .....Great content as usual
I love your channel If I had all that I wouldn't be able to leave its soo sick...
Thanks
Oh boy, I love the south american tank.
🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍
I had a 200gallon tank and loved my seahorses. Got them to have babies once.
awesome video
You definitely changed my view of piranha tanks
Dope video , I’m debating a small breeder set up for the kitchen side & adding sea horses. How about a conch snail for the sand bed?
I've been doing fishies for 25+ years. I've never had the courage to move from freshwater to salt. I just couldn't handle the guilt of screwing up my ph and losing my fishies. Freshwater is easier. I have her pretty down pat. Years ago....I watched a friend's salt tank lose $1600.00 in fish in one afternoon because of 1. of ph being off. I can't handle that pressure. So kudos to you my friend.
Sudbury, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ✌️
Joey you should try getting into LIVE FOOD CULTURES! It’s a game changer for fish like sea horses. It’s a big part of the hobby that’s under represented too! Would be ace to see you try some cool cultures!
I have been fascinated with Nudibranchs. They too are fascinating salt water creatures.
I can't be waiting this long for more videos, guess I better join again lol
Hell ya bad ass video bro i was starting to think u stoped the vids
I love shrimp, they are so cool :)
The Seahorses are forever my favorite...
Hate and love his videos. They’re getting further apart and the cliffhangers got me wanting more.
im excited for the salt water shrimp tank! I hope you try to breed them!
Kevin ruling over the shrimp. Not the leader we wanted, but the one we deserve
Case in point for your what works for one might not for others we have a male betta that loves the male guppies in the tank and when one of his buddies passed he got really sad till some the male fry grew up… we recently got a pea puffer and thankfully our snail population is decreasing dramatically. Everyone gets along no fights all tails are intact
Awesome video Joey. I love all your tanks, after seeing your sea horse tank I'm curious to know if keeping a sea dragon is something possible. It's like a bigger longer version of a sea horse. If it is possible I'd love to see you keep them in your gallery.
Sea dragon are endangered and at least in the states are illegal to have
Lmao joeys having problems with shrimp eating shrimp 🤣🤣
Maybe you can 3-d print a small cage that's heavy enough to sink that also has slots big enough for the seahorses to stick thier mouths in but not big enough to let the shrimp in? Honestly I don't think it would take much work... think about it ❤️
Hi Joey
Can we get an updated tour?
Would be nice to see what you’ve been up to lately 😁
Great video on salt water fish, I have a video I took in the Red Sea of my buddy with his reg out and cleaner wrasse cleaning in his mouth
Hey Joey, may i suggest getting some nassarius and strawberry lipped conch to help with cleaning. Both great for the sand and uneaten food. Ps there's plenty of other fish that are fine with seahorses. Great vid
I'm sure there are aquarium stores that stock their tanks by what you put in the gallery.
Yep, I've noticed the Joey effect in my local fish shops! Also Racheal O'Leary was having quite an impact in her heyday (which will hopefully come again one day). I'm in the UK.
