- As much as I love the MK series, this Mortal Kombat game has not lived up to the hype. I’ll explain why in this video. Do people even read the description on a video? What even is a description really used for? I suppose for the things down below.

The game is good, but the two things that disappoint me is that we can't interact with stage items and we don't have the mechanic where we can have our own customization slots like what we had in MK11.

Havoc: He needs at least five new attack strings, he needs his legacy move that titan havoc has were he takes off his head and rolls it but its a mid, has the same affect as reptiles acid ball, and also hits mid exploding on contact. he also needs another one of his legacy moves that again titan havoc has where he bends his hole body for a low projectile and the amp of that can be a knock down allowing for combo extentions for cameos like scorpion
Sub-zero: he needs his attack strings made slightly faster except for his overhead, he also needs 1 or 2 new attack string launchers, both his regular and amp iceball needs to be faster to not only be able to combo with it off of normal attack strings but in juggle combos too. He should have the ability to throw his ice clone, i also think he should have his ice burst special back with the same proporties as mkx to compliment his ice clone(but just does not send you that far away). lastly he needs some of his damage scailing off ground freeze.
Scorpion: should be buffed by making his amp ground tp a launcher again and make the cancel built in to both his regular and amp tp. buff the amp hellfire move by removing the damage over time and making it function like how it does in mkx allowing him to combo after hitting it. he needs new strings some mix ups(i personally want his mkx overhead back). some moves need to be sped up
Quan shi: needs his mind control move from mkx back, and make half his attack strings faster. and finally his low tentacle needs to be one bar
Raiden: change raiden's b2 back to the mkx launcher but make it as slow as sub'z b2. give him back his vicinity blast move back with the same properties as mkx. Give him back his mkx amp lightning projectile back for combo extentions but have his regular fully charged move have the same proportys as the amp. he also needs to be buffed by making his amp electrocute special launch no matter how many bars he uses
liu kang: for starters nerf his f4 one button pressure but give him his 113 mkx launcher back along with maybe 2 or 3 more new attack strings to make up for his pressure and to make it less braindead. make his low fireball slightly faster, change his air fireball to the mkx fireball and the amp the one we have now. give him back his mk 11 dragon parry, and finally make his fatal blow start up 2 hits but the first one restands
kung lao: nerf tf out of his wake up special by making it unsafe af on block. give him back his mkx or 9 spin back but have it have work the same as mk11 so he can use it more than two times in a combo. swap his dive kick now for a mix between his mkx or 9 dive kick. he needs his mkx tp, and his low hat back, but nerf his mix up buttion's he has now by making the overhead follow up slightly slower. give him his mk11 21212 attack string and his mkx 44 launcher attack string back. and also he needs his hat spin.
Nitara: buff her by making her command dash like homelander so for instance all of her normal attack strings that leaves her in the air cost no bar anymore to command dash and it cost no bar when she is in the air command dashing for combos but the next one after that does. and also make fer overhead that leaver her in the air slightly faster. she should also be able plus after hitting her bf2 special allowing her to cameo combo after it. lastly give her back her legacy projectile move back.
Reiko: give him his invasion boss special move, the one is like jades dead butterfly move from mk11 but it launches and he uses his spear(this is already in the game files btw). give this guy at least 1 more special move that involes his knife that's on his person but he never uses for some reason. he needs like 5 new normal attack stings involving his knife and his spear, maybe 2 of them be launchers.

Tbh the annoying thing about MK1 is that there’s not many game modes. I wish the krypt or towers of time was still in the game

the one huge improvement that mk1 has over mk11 that made me buy the game is that mk1 focuses more on hand to hand combat and not jade hitting you with her 3km long stick the whole game. But hey your opinion is yours and i respect it.👍

If I were to tell the story it'll go like this; The elder gods come to bring back Raiden and Liu Kang is just a Fire god, The elder god's warn Raiden about The one being coming back when shang Tsung merges Chaos and order realm with all other realms , Kung Lao is the chosen one to be the savior of the realms and scorpion becomes god of war and chaos . Oh and Baraka joins Ashra to cure his tarkat to become an edenian again.

I have at least 5000+ hrs in that game. That's between PS3 and 360. Mostly PS3.
The movement animations are some of the worst i have ever seen in a fighting game.

@@TyTalksGaming in this case, I will rephrase myself. MKX/INJ2 days with one fighter per month are over and new fighter per months in MK11/1 will be norm now
i only want this game bc of omni man, homelander, and peace maker tbh. but it's not worth spending like $100 on the premium edition just to play those 3 characters then get bored within 20 minutes. I'm sticking to MK9-MK11 like i've been doing for the past few years.
Good vid, here are some opinions of your points
1. I don’t mind the Kameo system, and I’m in the same position as you. I think they come in handy whenever they want, but I feel like NRS should’ve done what they did in MK9. The tag team mode wasn’t required and was two separate modes. I think they should’ve done that with the Kameo system.
2. The DLC has always take long. Peacemaker’s delay really hurt it tbh. For the guests (besides Peacemaker) were all lined up for their release dates for the new season of their show. So I'm not shocked.
3. Tbh, i don't like Krypt or Invasions. They both suck for me

The skill tutorials are terrible.
If you have a skill issue this game is really bad to get accustomed to.
If you don't understand Cameos, Combo breakers, combos that buff intrinsic meters, this game will frustrate you a lot online. Playing against the computer for labbing won't do much help😊

I miss tower system that the others had, you always had something to do in the last 3 this is only invasions after you beat towers and online unless you picking peacemaker or Johnny you might be done! Plus most of the time people rely solely on the kameo most of the time I’m fighting chameleon more than the characters themselves
You what change will help bring back people to this game? Have the Non-Kameo be separated into a different mode.

Damnnn that’s crazy so it’s safe to say y’all don’t need a official tag game an the mk community just don’t like to learn.
The dlc is one thing they are doing right, even if you remove kameos in between they are doing miles better than Sf6 and Tekken 8 with the time schedule. Not to mention we get constant costumes for characters free and payed unlike the competetion. But this game does need some oomph

The best fighting game : not Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Fighter or whatever. It's more Die By the Blade, Hellish Quart, could be Grandblue Fantasy, Shaolin vs Wutang 2, UFC 5 and old fashion Soul Calibre games. You can even add SIFU in the list and Midnight Fight Express. MK is overrated and always was.
This game is a cold, corporate product designed to milk the fanbase and that is why it feels incredibly soulless.
WB's greed is destroying all their recent games.
The single player mode sucks, but the gameplay is awesome.
I had the same issue with the Kameo system at first, but it makes the combat more dynamic and challenging. I think you need to give it a try for some time and you’ll like it

I actually enjoy this game alot even though it has alot of problems I still put hours into because the gameplay story and characters are/is my favorite in the nrs era
The Kameo system ruined the game. We're use to 1v1...sometimes 2v2 but the system is corny. You can't punish Kameos...they're just in the way of the person who'd @$$ you really want to kick. It's cowardly for the Mortal kombat Franchise

I know what can be improved make hanzo scorpion takeda kenshis son and no invasion mode just towers and mini games and no kameos just environment interactions so beast boy can be playable and not a kameo
I never played this Mortal Kombat. The aesthetics of the game doesn't look or feel like Mortal Kombat.
They definitely take a different approach. I just wish we had more things to do and that Kameos wasn’t in the game.

For casual play, it is for sure. For competitive/ No. Mortal Kombat is a great fighting game franchise for casuals. I just have a lot of nostalgia with this franchise. I also like that MK9 plays like old school 2D fighters in many ways. Not huge on 3D fighters most of the time, though I absolutely love Tekken games. I haven't played a modern Street Fighter, yet.

Haven't purchased this game; haven't played it yet. First time for me, since I've owned most MK titles, going back to the SNES days, or at least played the games I didn't buy (at friends' places). Every now and then I'm thinking to myself; should I just give M1K a try? I go to the Xbox Store, and the full game is $99 and immediately I'm like "yeah no I'll pass", because I'm just kinda done financially supporting NRS at this point, and that's too much money for a game that I know I'm not going to love.
For years now I've been expecting a sort of Magnum Opus Mortal Kombat game to be made, and I have my ideas and preferences as to what exactly that ought to entail, but I realized that this amazing hypothetical MK game that exists in my own mind; NRS isn't going to produce that game, or even come close to it.
I couldn't really tell you what M1K needs in order to be a good MK game, because I haven't played it, and I'm just not interested anymore. I don't think this game suddenly improves drastically by adding this or that character. There's something more fundamentally wrong with the game, that isn't remedied by adding Takeda, for example.

The Kombat Pack 1 was ok…. Honestly only cared about 4 characters out of the 7.

I was really hype for this game when it was coming out, but after playing it a bit, I got bored of it. I'm a big fan of Mk but MK1 feels really bare bones compared to previous iterations. I found myself playing Tekken 8 more than than this. It has been out for less time than MK and I already have more playtime on T8 that MK1
I still haven’t played the latest Tekken, gotta check that out.

I knew this game was going to suck ass from the first gameplay teaser they released, I wasn't intrigued by the graphics or the animations the cameo mechanic that introduces characters that aren't even playable or part of the rooster is just spit in the face! MK11 was the best
I agreed with everything until mk11. Sorry but mk11 was never good to begin with y'all. Mkx and 9 were the golden years. Mk11 had the worse graphics, gameplay and story out of all the mk games. MK1 is in a pretty bad state but you can't tell me mk11 is 100% better than MK1. Also, while I see Ur point in the kameos splitting the cast in half being kinda dumb, I would like to add that, the depth to the gameplay kameos bring is pretty sick. Now ofc in the current meta with khameleon dominating, its very annoying but putting khameleon aside, on paper, kameos are an interesting mechanic

When we compare it to older titles like MKX and MK9. It is lacking so hard. And games shouldn’t downgrade as time goes. And there’s lot of ugly visuals and it’s a micro transaction fest

The issue is there is a lack of incentive to play the game, people are absolutely trashing the game over it. There's all of Jack Sh** to unlock and play for. You should be able to figure that out.
If you understand the fighting mechanics of Mortal Kombat 1, you'll see it's a plastic rip-off compared to the old mortal Kombat games.
The fight skills for each character is pretty much one dimensional. Even with the help of kameos. Everyone is doing the same thing to achieve 40-51% combos using frame data.
Towers and invasions feels like a 2006 PC simulator. Invasions feels worse than going back and playing world of Warcraft or Fusion fall from cartoon network. It's 2024, we shouldn't be running characters in a T track guide.
