Would you have any ideas on this? My brother was riding his four wheeler. It made a loud noise and quit and has no compression now. Obviously it’s not running. I checked the valves Looks like they are still moving up and down.
You have any ideas, mine has no compression, but new piston and rings and adding oil to cylinder did NOT increase the compression testing at 25-30 psi...
Prolly wrong size piston and rings or defected parts meaning its oval shaped from production and to much compression is getting passed from being out of round. Can take it out and micrometer measure all the way around for roundness
my 125cc atv isnt running as it should its a clicking somewhere inside the motor ive changed the top end valves adjusted to 0.05 in 0.06ex but thats where the clicking is still coming from the top end

@notwoke2320 hmmm rotate the motor without the spark plug in it see if you can hear air aka compression

@@JoshRaySpot I got to looking at it and apparently the piston is not going up and down which is not good at all. Thanks bud.
@@notwoke2320 could have seized and welded to the cylinder or broke the rod entirely

If adding oil to the cylinder didn't increase the compression its likely a bad cylinder head or valves

Probably a bent valve or valve seat
But sometimes ticks are normal maybe the carb needs cleaning
So you just cleaned your piston and piston rings?
Didn't even clean the whole piston. Rings were stuck so cleaned them and the pistons ring side seats
