I mean, on a to-players external level it's definitely the part that raises an eyebrow, but I feel like a world that accepts Gears as people is also gonna accept the different aging. It's like how fantasy or sci-fi settings rarely make a big deal about races having different lifespans. That is gonna be one of the things those anti-Gear reactionaries bring up, but it's more just 'one prong of a greater attack' rather than the sole central point.

This hilarious title is entirely so it's initialised as SOAD, e.g. System of a Down. His super is called Down with the system.
As an NDP supporting Canadian no I'd vote for Doctor Doom, there are a shocking lot of times his nation is good and he's ruled the world a few times and done a good job. And totally not out of fear of the best Marvel character. That Big Boss about Zack made me giggle far too much good job. The Gundam colony drop joke also got me. I mean we do know Cecil in the 4 sequal was a good king but that's about it before end the world stuff starts again No you could talk about Ridley he sorta is the commander of the space pirates. Which has a weird cast system with worker drones, fighters, science officers, long story short they are pirates and see all other races as means to steal from. I would have used the fact that Smash's Snake is kinda both Solid and Naked to bring up Big Boss but that is a can of worms. Great vid and yeah I know nothing about Guilty Gear sides your vid and what a friend once told me, Ky seems pretty cool so he'd get my vote.
I never had someone bring up Ridley to me while I was putting togethwr the suspect list for this, but I feel like he sits with Rosalina in having just an entirely different power structure; Ridley's by all appearances a commander, just like how Rosalina seems to be a ship's captain, which is just a different skillset entirely. They're good at their thing, but this isn't their thing. Doctor Doom I do recognize has occasionally done well at his job, but the ultimate problem of living under an egomaniacal dictator is still that you're always controlled by their ego; the moment Doom picks a fight he shouldn't or decides to do some high-grade bullshit, your way of life is in serious jeopardy.
@@EinDose I just feel the space pirate system is ripe for more lore. The scan logs of Prime one are the first real deep game lore I read. Rosalina feels more like a distant mother then a space ship captain but I'm the guy that thought Mario Galaxy was just a bad set of games. Nope Doom is great not a flaw too him at all. And totally would abuse powers to have Doom bots spying on people out of pure pettiness. Also is Ryu from Dead or Alive slash Ninja Gaiden going to head of his ninja village? Pretty sure his dad was in charge.
Out of this list here's my USA cabinet, Haggar for Secretary of State, Goldlewis for Secretary of Defense, Cody Travers for Secretary of Transportation, and I would tax Tony Stark into oblivion and nationalize stark industries since that company keeps making super weapons without much oversight. As far as foreign relations I'd want to pardon Magneto of his crimes under the pretense that he makes sure that the Evil Brotherhood of Mutants would work as sanctioned bounty hunters that only kill terrible outlaw racists with no collateral casualties tolerated.
I feel like your biggest gamble here is that you are REALLY hoping that the current Brotherhood lineup is actually fairly controllable. Otherwise I feel like you're probably getting the best you will out of the Americans, although I'd want to see Storm and Green Arrow in there somewhere.
As cruel as I can be I wouldn't burden Green Arrow with the responsibility of a cabinet, and I don't know if Storm qualifies since she's the Queen of a foreign nation. 🤷♀️
This is an idea i would have never thought would be possible, and yet here we are! This video was awesome and you've opened my eyes to the fact that Guilty Gear had a story about politics in its crazy world
Honestly Guilty Gear's had multiple stories about its politics, it's just that Strive had a story ALL about its politics. (That sadly wasn't exactly 'all hands on deck', Ganymede and the Japanese colonies didn't get to say hi.)
Kazuya would need a brief revisiting now that he literally presented the entire world with his nutso political platform, that seems to be entirely derived from his personal experiences with Heihachi growing up. Also I would have argued that Kotal does deserve a breakdown (as predictable as his would be), because the majority of his rule actually takes place in times of peace ever since Shao Kahn died, which was several decades in the past in-game, as represented by the fact that a bunch of characters had the time to be born and to grow up to adulthood while Kotal was ruling outworld. Even though Kotal was notably better than Shao Kahn, just from not being a belligerent asshole, I think there are some contentious issues to be considered, notably the excessively common capital punishment and his views on the Tarkatan people. Speaking of contentious views on Tarkatans, now there's also Sindel from MK1! And also I suppose fire god Liu Kang, who became much more politically active and influenced an entire reality into something different from what Mortal Kombat used to be.
Kotal was definitely the closest to getting a rundown out of everyone in MK for that reason, but the struggle there was that while yes, he does rule for quite a while in peacetime, we don't actually see it. We only join him when he's at war. And yeah, if I were updating this Kazuya would be a big one... but also there's rumors that Lidia's coming back too, and I couldn't possibly do one before her!
Mike Haggar may not be dead, but we do absolutely need to remember him.
