I have been hearing this since the 90s, and had such great health while juicing and was confused by this. So I did my own experiment. I don’t understand the science behind it but if I want to instantly get rid of inflammation, water retention, clear my skin or get rid of an autoimmune issue (psoriasis for example) juicing wins hands down! Don’t get me wrong, I love smoothies! But there is a time and place for both in good health. You can try it yourself. Start with a day of smoothies and see how much you urinate. The next day, have green juice and then compare the two.☺️
Yeah I dont really buy it. If you juice for example a purple polyphenol rich veggie and the juice comes out purple, the color is from the anthocyanins so I don’t understand what he means by it being bound to the fiber
In Indonesia, we unironically call blended fruits as juice. That's why when a bunch of articles & videos about the fact that drinking juice isn't healthy came out, I got confused because the "juice" we have here is basically just the whole fruits blended so that's gotta be the same as fruits in general. Fiber intake is sooooo important, I have chronic myeloid leukemia and it's so important to have soluble fiber with my diet and in general, mineral absorption which will directly keep your blood clean!

I recently (literally yesterday) read an article saying that in the case of bananas, that it's better to leave them out because the same reason that makes bananas brown quickly once peeled, can reduce the amount of beneficial flavonols from other foods in a smoothie... in my mind though, it's just an extra excuse to leave out bananas... I dislike how bananas tend to overpower the other flavors in a smoothie.
At this stage in my life I'm really not going to worry about blending my juices. I have some o.j. couple times a week and I drink so much water that's pretty much what I like to have is water.
I always have a large mason jar in the fridge of mixed blended fruit..not bananas. At the moment it has whole lemons, strawberries, whole pineapple , some whole figs, blackberries, blueberries and a good helping of mint. Every other day i scoop three or four big tablespoons into a large glass and fill up with sparkling water. I drink it after the large OMAD meal i eat.
Juicing will always be best. Triteration is key. Get a juicer that has a powerful motor to juice pulp dry. Then use the dry pulp in soups, salads, etc.
I get the blending before juicing, but I'd really rather eat my fruits, I always feel like that keeps me more satiated and keeps the hunger away longer ^^'

Maybe depends how much can you eat. If it's just worth a cup or two, still manageable. But usually serious juicing involved quite a hefty amounts of different types of fruits. I love fruits don't get me wrong, but I don't think I can stomach these much in a day other than in it's smoothie form 😅
I’ve been blending at least a 2 of my daily fruits for years. One of my favourites is a couple of chilled oranges and a couple of ice cubes with a splash of water. Occasionally some plain yogurt and vanilla added. So refreshing and yummy.
Many true factors though juicing yields more nutrients from more foam it creates from the slow masticating presser, so great for a detox because it absorbs directly without fiber and works best after regular blending balanced smoothies. 💪💗🙏
Both have their benefits. When you haave digestive issues like SIBO or leaky gut juicing is a better choice. The digestive system needs a break to heal. However, enjoy both as needed. 😊👌🏽🙏
I juice for this reason. I also use an auger, not centrifugal juicer, so the enzymes remain intact and aren’t destroyed by the heat created by a centrifugal juicer. I don’t think I could manage blended broccoli either!

I'm not sure entirely what you mean by your comment. Fruit juice bought from the store contains all the natural sugar of fruit. It loses all of the fiber, not any of the sugar. I've only seen sugar added to bought fruit juice if it's a tart fruit, like cranberries, or if it's a juice cocktail (not 100% juice, or maybe a blend of juices).
Love homemade smoothies with blended fruits. I love the pulp. I obtain local organic when I can, frozen, and fresh for reasonable price. The nutrients run in that order based on what I've read.
It's funny, I just attended a seminar last week where the speaker was talking about fiber and the gut microbiome and it's role in shortchain fatty acid production and how excess fiber can actually lead to increased risk of colon cancer due to inflammation in the epithelial folds.
Fiber also helps with blood sugar spikes. Being a diabetic, my endocrinologist is always telling me to eat high fiber low GI foods; so I eat a lot of chia seeds too.
You're gonna want to just add the fiber in somehow then because blenders actually heat the nutrients. Some dont so might want to look into slower blenders.
It seems you also could use the pope out of your juicer for things, and to get the most out of it use it raw. Though I have often made muffins out of carrot pulp from the juicer that may have celery or apples in it. Your info is extremely good advice with truth and facts here!
Honestly streetside fresh juice wenders taste better than packaged fruit juice since they don't have a ton of sugar thst suppresses the fruity flavours and gives it an unnaturally almost syrup like thick texture/mouth feel

Packaged juice contains additives to make all bottles taste the same, even the 100% brands. Pasteurization probably affects the taste, too, I bet.

Love homemade smoothies with blended fruits. I love the pulp. I obtain local organic when I can, frozen, and fresh for reasonable price. The nutrients run in that order based on what I've read.

It's funny, I just attended a seminar last week where the speaker was talking about fiber and the gut microbiome and it's role in shortchain fatty acid production and how excess fiber can actually lead to increased risk of colon cancer due to inflammation in the epithelial folds.

Fiber also helps with blood sugar spikes. Being a diabetic, my endocrinologist is always telling me to eat high fiber low GI foods; so I eat a lot of chia seeds too.
You gotta try a juice stand that also sells belts and other goods!

You're gonna want to just add the fiber in somehow then because blenders actually heat the nutrients. Some dont so might want to look into slower blenders.

It seems you also could use the pope out of your juicer for things, and to get the most out of it use it raw. Though I have often made muffins out of carrot pulp from the juicer that may have celery or apples in it.

Honestly streetside fresh juice wenders taste better than packaged fruit juice since they don't have a ton of sugar thst suppresses the fruity flavours and gives it an unnaturally almost syrup like thick texture/mouth feel
