As one who is interested (but not involved) in towing/recovery, I didn't know what a DTU was so I Googled it and found a Miller Industries site where they demonstrated its function in conjunction with a "regular" semi tractor with a fifth wheel.
The part I think is crazy isn't that it can pick up that much weight, its that it can pick up that much weight on the side of the truck. Rotators are buff.
Very impressive! Love seeing your entire fleet. Just can't imagine the millions of dollars in equipment sitting on that one yard. It takes money to make money, wow!
bravo it's impressive the weight you lifted you are a great technician to lift such large masses hats off thank you for this technical video on your job I really liked the plans with the drone 👍
Awesome video !!! I remember a few years ago you posted a video of Big Flipper lifting your Dad's 60 ton rotator and a medium duty tow truck Big Flipper made it look easy and it was a 85k lbs lift
Hulk's my favorite. I'm Sitting at Gest St Cincinnati waiting on the crane Pop one pick one for a X town to NS Sharronville. Glad I get paid buy the hr. I've been here over an hr so far.
That's pretty awesome. For your next trick, this might be a little crazy but hear me out, you have Hulk set up the same way to lift Flipper, but at the same time you have Flipper rigged up to lift Hulk. Hulk lifts Flipper, then Flipper lifts Hulk, and you have the world's first twin flying rotators! Imagine the possibilities. On a more serious note, I'd like to see a video on The Beast, that thing looks gnarly.
This was fun to watch. Another fun video is a demo lift by Miller Ind. when they introduced their M100 super heavy-duty wrecker. The M100 is lifting an 1150 that's lifting a 4024. That's 2 wreckers in the air lifted by the M100!
@PepesTowingService Thanks for sharing the link. What a cool video! It's just astounding what these trucks are capable of, and even more so, what you and your team can accomplish with these trucks. Job well done.
Is good. Rigging a heavy lift is the most important thing in how it's assembled, which has just been proven. You can lift more weight by going from one pulley to pulley to pulley.
Thats some maths there working your loads and angles for the weights! Did you look a bit deeper on the maths at all for things like boom deflection to see just how much it bent / flexed during the lifts ?
As an operator of a 30 ton National crane, I go by my load chart and the LMI. BUT, these rotaters, though similar, are a different beast, the most I've picked, with a 4 part line, has been 28 K. But I also have 110' of stick, and mostly set trusses. Nice rigging and spreader bars! Did you derate that rear rigging, as it's not loaded vert but at an angle?
Impressive, could you do the same Lifts if the Booms were extended More? I've seen footage at a Tow Show .2 trucks lifted at the same time on the same Side ..great Vid 👍
Re-rig it use your turret winches for the nearside use your main wenches for the far side and with that truck on the outside of them riggers it'll do it
It doesn't work that way. In California diesel trucks over 14000 gvw older than 2011 are not even allowed to be in the state for over 1000 miles a year. There are exemptions for non commercial use. That's why we can't have nice things here.
Ya and how would that work for our annual chp and police inspections when you show them the registration? We prefer to do things legal. Besides my entire fleet is up to date. I just don’t see the point of this.
@@PepesTowingService I was just curious if you were on the road long enough to mandate a 10 hr I didn't mean to be offensive I'm sorry I was just wondering
@lawnfreak3543 10hrs is a vacation lol standard tow shift is 12hrs at almost any company here. And we go from the border at Mexico up to Northern California plus Nevada and Arizona
Great video once again Josh. Stay safe and keep on bein you out there! Was curious if you saw the LAFD video on the overturned propane tanker Pepe's did a while back. Thanks again for your content and effort into the videos. Link to LAFD video : ua-cam.com/video/hwQmpmEP25s/v-deo.html&ab_channel=LAFD
We have 90 trucks over 13 yards, you’re only take away from this impressive lift is a few trucks in the background during the 1hr I took to film this??? Get a life
Hulk is a beast. Congratulations for how well Pepe's towing takes pride and care of the fleet .
You have the best fleet I've ever seen! You can tell the pride you and your crew has in the equipment!! Outstanding job and video
This is impressive! The best promo video Miller could ever wanted! ;)
These rotators are incredible machines. The lifting capabilities are amazing. Great demonstration.

Always enjoy. BTW- when you went to the drone, about 18 minutes in, we lost your right audio channel. it came back when drone sequence ended.
Just stumbled across your videos. Been binge watching you. You have great skills. My husband would have loved them.❤
Your company has some gorgeous rotators.

That prime movers in the back round is as long as can remember mate 😊
Didn't you lift the 60 ton and a medium wrecker with Big Flipper in a similar previous video?? This is VERY cool!!!!
Hey Josh does your dad know what your up to?
I read somewhere that you guys have 12 or 13 of those heavy lift trucks, & dozens of smaller trucks.
Always enjoy the content 💯

Very EDUCATIONAL, stay safe folks
Josh good video. That’s why I like Miller Industries products, stronger than what they are rated for.
Imagine what you could do with the M100!
Just a bad ass Truck Love the paint job on Dave’s truck old school flames
From Australia you guys have it down pat good to watch the some of the I've seen on ya 😊

Josh great job your company has awesome equipment very impressive. 😮😊
That drone view gave us a really nice shot of the turrets. That's so cool.
Amazing ... beautiful trucks and gear .
From Australia
Dave's rotator is my favorite
This is what he does on his off days!
Now I’d LOVE to see Big Flipper pick up The Hulk with Hulk picking up a car.
Good job Hulk!
How often do you have to replace cables on your rig?
Josh, impressive!
On ya mate 😊
Very impressive, and very professional as well...
I saw you working on the 210 Saturday early morning
Dave's rotator is beautiful. Also California laws are ridiculous. I am so glad that I don't live there anymore.
You guys got some really nice rigs
I am guessing, there is a lot of kit in the rotator. I wonder what's the net weight. What a show of capability
I love my 50ton. I believe it's much versatile than the 75 ton.
Cool vid Josh can’t wait to see the new rotator is it another 50 ton ? Or is it a M100 stay safe take care G.Whyte
Thats some maths there working your loads and angles for the weights! Did you look a bit deeper on the maths at all for things like boom deflection to see just how much it bent / flexed during the lifts ?
That's F'n Crazy man!! Wow!
Does your dad ever get nervous when he sees you playing in the yard! Or does he get a lift out of it?

Why did you sell the Old Yeller the 2001 PETERBILT 379 day cab 60 ton rotator 1060S Century rotator tow truck tri-axle single steer your dad had?
Mate how much gear do you really have we are in ore of what you guys have from Australia 😊
Can we get a 75 ton picking a 50 ton picking a medium duty tow truck picking a light duty picking a smart car?
Amazing Machines
Good video.
Slings at what cost 😮
So now Big Flipper needs to lift an M100 off the side.
Yes 👍👍😊
The ultimate, 'Do you even lift?'!
how many rotators do u guys own
Can you possibly lift UNIT 21 / THE BEAST which is the tri axle semi truck with a Detachable Towing Unit with one of the 6 rotator trucks?
Double like, This was kinda a meet the fleet video ass well.
Josh I would like to see if that 60ton would do the same to hulk
Nice to see what you guys think up for a practice session. What's next?
as a fellow dave thats a great looking rig
Show off ! Nice trucks
I'm imaging your dad turning up and asking, where's my truck...
So it's rated at 50 tns but you could get more if needed
That's amazing
In this scenario, what was your boom angle? And what was your boom WLL at that extension length? Thank you
Cool very nice 👍👍👍👍😊
Question, Does Pepe have a third party Safety Personal that inspects and signs off on riging equipment. And how often is it done .
Love hulk
Wow.
Re-rig it use your turret winches for the nearside use your main wenches for the far side and with that truck on the outside of them riggers it'll do it
This is horrible. That would mean my boom would have to be over the truck, it would not lift that far extended.
@@PepesTowingService but you are transferring half the load to the first stage and the other half to the third stage
does your shop need a special permit to drive the 75 ton in cal.
That's why Big Flipper doesn't have an under-reach. Recovery only, no towing. At least not in CA.
Sheeeshhhhh 🔥🔥🔥
How much does it cost to register that truck in California?
please explain why your DAD'S 2021 Rotator was illegal in Calif
Because California emissions laws? Google it. Search "California Air Resource Board."
Have your dad set up a Pepe’s in Bullhead Az. Then register all your trucks there. No more California emission issues
Ya then we have to live in AZ lmao
@@PepesTowingService
Pepe’s Bullhead as a new operation. Register all trucks out of there. Business is there not your home
It doesn't work that way. In California diesel trucks over 14000 gvw older than 2011 are not even allowed to be in the state for over 1000 miles a year. There are exemptions for non commercial use. That's why we can't have nice things here.
@@lightningdemolition1964
There is a loop hole for every california law. Ask Diane Feinstine
Ya and how would that work for our annual chp and police inspections when you show them the registration? We prefer to do things legal. Besides my entire fleet is up to date. I just don’t see the point of this.
Cool
Ever bend an outrigger?
hulk is very strong and of course, you have your rigging right..lol
Why do you have sleepers on those trucks do you transport ?
What an odd question, I didn’t know we weren’t allowed to have sleepers? We do everything
@@PepesTowingService do you guys have to log or do claim local for dot?
@lawnfreak3543 yes we have to log for over 100 miles
Ok, is it 75 ton or 74,000 lbs? In the picture it says 75,000 lbs but in your description you say 75 tons.
Lifted 74k,trucks boom is rated for 75ton,truck that lifted or “hulk” is rated for 50ton but off the rear and much less off the side
Try the 50 ton lifting the 60 ton and the 75 ton lifting both. Still yet impressive as hell
How would a 50ton possibly lift two rotators at the same time
Liebher dose it !!! 200 ton picking a 100 ton and it's picking a 50 ton. I'd insert a photo but I'm technology challenged.
Have you ever considered adding a 100 ton rotator to your fleet?
No need

Ur 75 ton is beautiful 4 axle instead of 5 axle I find that the 5 axle is ugly to me I kno it’s for weight but dang it’s an ugly design
I wonder if you dad knew you guys were playing with his truck
What a weird comment. You sound jealous
It is fucking stupid that Kommiefornia forced you to repower that truck with a far less reliable engine and emissions system.
Ha
Go to a cat scale
Screw California and there stupid laws but your tractors are bad ass
your father must be out of town
Why would he be out of town?
looked like something you would when the boss was not looking but he must have approved love what you do be safe
That's a lot of equipment sitting in the lot not earning its keep.
We have 90 trucks over 13 yards, you’re only take away from this impressive lift is a few trucks in the background during the 1hr I took to film this??? Get a life
