Hi Ursula, your videos are amazing, thats idea of the stone, was send to me by youtube,i jus subscribed,i was thinking to my house, raise with blocks or ornament bricks,to two step high and do the same thing you has done in my back yard deck! Thanks 👍
You did everything very well. I thought your explanations were really on point. Your results look fantastic. One of the best tutorials that I've seen.👏
You inspired me to do the same project in my backyard and I too am sooooo happy with them. I had some siding which I used to create the forms and it all worked out amazing. I followed what you did and just kept going till it all came together. It's quite a job but I very much appreciate you sharing such a great idea. THANK YOU.
I wish we could all post photos of the ones we’ve done. I was researching making lava step stones (I’m in Hawaii) out of concrete & came across your video. I used your overall method to make mine & love them. I did add a salt finish to mine. Also love your follow up video! Thanks for posting. Aloha.
Hello, Thank you from Washington state! I just started to research ideas on how to create concrete "rocks" your information is fantastic! The finished product is amazing! I'm literally grinning watching both videos. Thanks again, All the best!
Thank you so much for sharing / posting. I have a sloped area going into our back yard that I have reseeded multiple times. I'm going to put stones to help with the erosion issue. The way you made them will blend in with the stone patio area near the area. ¥
Oh my Lord!!! I just found You & You're Absolutely Brilliant!!! & You're technique as for the Mold is AMAZING!!! I can't wait to start my project in my courtyard & side yard & etc etc!!! Gorgeous!!! Absolutely Gorgeous! It takes my breath away how easy You made this look!!!
They are absolutely beautiful. I've been trying to figure out ideas for a walkway and patio expansion, and have preexisting pavers, and just purchased some concrete molds. I think I'm going to send the molds back and try this instead. Much more natural and beautiful looking. Plus, I'll get to play more with texture and design! Thank you for this. ❤
Thank you!! Your video is very inspiring an chocked full of ideas as well as leadership for those of us would like to try to do what you have done!! I hope you continue to do what you're doing, you should be an instructor!
I love your video on making stones. Great idea. What a lot of work for me at 63. I really want to make a few. I need to color them Arizona orange. But they do keep well. I just need to weight the price for already made versus make. But your video is the best so far. Thank you.
I am going to do this!!! Under our deck which in a Walk Out Basement Ranch--the 'Deck' is off the 'Second Floor' when seen from back yard. The deck downstairs outside out family room downstairs has a tiny tiny little square of concrete. Gonna add stones all around it! Wish me luck!
I just noticed your original video and wondered how they held up....then came this video! I am so thrilled to try this! Ive been looking for the right idea and this is it! Love it! Thank you! Do you live in an area that freezes in the winter?
Thank you for the followup! You did a beeeeeeutiful job. I wonder if part of the rocks' stability is that you poured them in place. I can see how that saves some labor. You don't have to prepare a base for some natural stones you bought at the stone yard or some preformed stones from a big box store. And you don't have to shimmy the stones into place to force the base to fill in any shallow places on the bottoms. The concrete will conform perfectly to whatever kind of ground you're putting it on. I do wonder how it is that your gravel stays in place when you rake leaves. Waaaa. My crushed rock keeps moving out of place - on top of the flagstones, into the grass - just from the dogs walking over it. I wanted smooth river rock gravel like you have. The landscaper told me the crushed rock would be more stable. I think he was just saving money. 🤔 I hate the stuff. Anyone reading this, don't use crushed rock between your stones.
So glad you posted follow-up video. I just watched your original video and was wondering how it held up and I'm impressed with your techniques! Is that a plastic bag you're using to create the texture? The only other question I feel that didn't get answered was how big are those slabs, you mentioned you needed 3 bags of 40lbs for 1 but I can't tell how big thise stones are and how deep they are.
So creative! Thank you for the follow-up video. Can you tell us what type of colorant you used? Liquid? Powder? Both? Very frugal too just using it in the top layer.
Our location was somewhat level beforehand but not perfect. There had been a previous patio in this spot. You might need to if it's really off but perfectly level was not necessary.

Thank you for showing your stone after that result 4 years. ❤
They look so much like real stones! Love them!
I'm obsessed. They look even better four years later.
I remember seeing your original video a couple years ago. Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the inspiration! I used this method last year to create a sidewalk in my front yard and it came out great.

You had a great idea and a great execution of that idea! I was wondering if you did any ground prep before you started making the stones?
I only had to dig down a little and remove the larger landscape stone that were there.
@@uniquelyursula87 Thanks so much! ❤️
Esto es realmente hermoso!!! Voy a hacerlo, gracias. 😊
Wow this is brilliant. Thanks for the great idea.
I’m so impressed, they look great!!!
They look amazing!!!
Looks amazing 4 y later, I will try this soon in my garden in France 👍
You may have said this already, but did you put gravel or any kind of base under the concrete?
Some of the best fake rock pavers I've seen. Nice work!
I just noticed your original video and wondered how they held up....then came this video! I am so thrilled to try this! Ive been looking for the right idea and this is it! Love it! Thank you! Do you live in an area that freezes in the winter?
Yes, I live in Michigan so plenty of freezing and snow:)
Well impressed with these....
You are just too cool. Love it. Thanks
thanks a lot - I think you transformed my garden ;)

it looks like the stones were poured on dirt. Can you move them after they are try? Great ideas!

Yes, a standard garbage bag is what I used.
So creative! Thank you for the follow-up video. Can you tell us what type of colorant you used? Liquid? Powder? Both? Very frugal too just using it in the top layer.
Hi, and thank you! I used a liquid colorant.
These still look fabulous! I think they may even have improved with age🙂
Im all over this. approximately how many bags of crack resistant concrete did you use. And did you add any any gravel to your concrete?
Just wandering if we can make driveway using these method?
Sweet. Im going to make rock babies, thanks so much
Was it necessary to level the ground beforehand?

What is your climate? Cold in winter?
8:50 molding
Ignore me asking how it’s doing in the other video XD
Okay, the decision has been made. I'll do it your way. Thanks a lot for sharing 👍
