if yall are wondering, this Black cop Michael Goosby retired from LAPD in 2022 (after several promotions including becoming the lead K9 trainer) and is now the head of private security at a major US bank based in LA

This show brings me back. On Saturday nights in the early 1990s before I’d go out, I’d watch Cops with my grandfather. It brought him back 20 years to his own law enforcement career. He used to comment on what he’d do in the situation.

He's wasn't swayed by rhetoric, identity politics or trying to prove himself or his "hood Blackness" just because he was Black cop from the hood himself. I happen to have a lot of African friends who live in America
      And they call themselves African

@jadechanboon Good for you.. Those African friends you happen to know that live in America are not Black Americans. The former are recent immigrants from the continent ( i.e. Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, etc) . At most, three generations ago. The latter aren't... Hey, I also happen to know some Africans who live in Europe. And they call themselves African.. Your point? Black Americans dont refer to themselves as " African". Thee cop(s) your saw are here refer to themselves as Black Americans..

That lady had a gun in the house and wasn't arrested, the cop just asked her do she want them to remove the gun from her house. This episode is crazy.

So this is 1994 L.A. So where’s Easy-E, where’s Suge knight, where’s the gang that lined up against Tupac in Vegas that night. What were these guys doing back then.
