I think you need to get what you're going to eat in front of you, and leave the rest far away. Otherwise it's too hard to control the temptation to keep eating.

For me 3 months if cutting is the limit, if I go more I’ll cheat and generally I don’t feel good being weak and empty after months of diet I go back to maintenance or bulk for few months

Abstinence from perfectionism and orthorexia is better than attempting abstinence from "bad/unclean" foods
