Every popular story and news article on origins of humanity and insights into biblical narratives , for seventy years has been packed into this story .
I FEEL YOU! You are correct! I can admit a mistake but let's be real - the first non-white eternal doesn't show up until issue #12 or #13 of the Eternal series. A year too late is a year too late. I will address this discrepancy in future vids.... if only work weren't such a bitch (that this is all I could do). I feel ya! And things did change (eventually) but early on it was pure whiteness.
CosmicComics I know what you are saying. I always took it that they were representative of Greek Gods and for that reason were designed like that. Great video by the way.
Was it a year too late tho? I mean, up until they all show up to form the Uni-mind, we don't see any big gathering of Eternals. The only ones we've seen are the main characters and a Greek city (which is understandably white).
Actually their appears to be black eternals from the very beginning. I have a screen shot from their 1st appearance and some of them do look black. The screen shot comes from a back up story in Marvel's What If stories (1st Ed). I am not sure how to post it as It is a PDF and covers the first Celestial Visit through the creation of the Inhumans. A great story. My email is peter.blaikie1967@gmail.com shoot me an email and I will pass it on.
3:58 wasn't Kingo Sunsen a Japanese eternal? He must've been similar enough to pass as a Japanese man, considering that his film career of playing samurai reached an international audience. Heck, Ikaris even says to Margo something along the lines of "I really don't know why you're so suprised, we Eternals are as varied as you humans" and there's even a dark-skinned Eternal in the background
It was my second or third video and nobody watching the channel. It was meant more tongue in cheek for when YT was an edgier place. Minority Eternals show up by Issue 11 or 12.
@@Cosmic.Comics ...you were wrong & you blame inexperience? I knew of eternals of color many years b4 you ever made this video, your excuse is "issue 11or12?!?! "Nobody watching channel"?!?!...thought u were supposed to be some "officianado" of comics...lame.
@@thedoncrazephaze5375 Seriously, it was a joke that got way too much attention. Yes, I am aware of minority Eternals but they came along later, seemingly as an afterthought. And yes, I think it's Etenerals 11 when the first minority Eternal makes an appearance. But I'm not faulting two guys for writing the experience they knew for comics that they had no idea would scrutinized in such manner - especially by a modern standard. Early Marvel does a great job of being inclusive and I point that out in numerous videos. And yeah, when this video was posted five years ago I didn't have five subscribers and most of those were probably my other channels. My grandma and a guy I don't even know named Lamar Greene were the only ones watching my videos. One has to try out new things. I joke around and make fun of Marvel a lot more in my earlier vidoes than I do now but again - that's a reflection of where YT was at that point in time and a young channel that hadn't hid its stride making some jokes. Still working on finding that stride. But I don't know everything - and I occasionally make mistakes.
Not all Eternals are white. In like the 11th issue of Eternals, Kirby introduced the Japanese Eternal Kingo, saying Eternals are "as varied as humans". Walt Simonsson would go one to create the black Eternal Phastos.
Agreed. It was my second video for the channel and I was going for the humorous angle. For sure the minority eternals show up but it def feels like an afterthought. Thanks for the insight/comment!
Stop with this progressive bullshit, if you think a group of white fictional characters are racist because they are white that's just prejudicial... Or racist! Your a racist when you think like this. Give it some genuine thought please.
This isnt social commentary as much as it is poking fun and having fun with an oversight by authors who wrote this over 50 years ago and had no idea how influential the story would become. Look at how many the stories the man wrote or created that hardly ever (or never) get discussed. Plus, they were pushing out lots of new material while worldbuilding. Hands down Marvel pushes for diversity and representation and did so even in the way back. Minority Eternals show up by issue #11 and are now one of the most diverse groups in Marvel comics. I mean, the inclusion should have been there but I find humor in applying/contrasting today's standards of inclusuon with that of a bygone era.
4:00 -- That's probably how it started when the King first wrote the Eternals because... well, white guy who grew up during the '20s and '30s. Since then, there's been the Meso-American Eternal, Ajak, the engineering Eternal Phastos (who inspired the Greco-Roman god Hephaestus/Vulcan despite being black), and the Japanese KIngo Sunen, who I think may have been inspired visibly by Toshiro Mifune. And of course over the years, there's been random, non-white minor Eternals usually in the background.
I usually do canned response to this. But yeah, look at the number stories Kirby had already written by that time. He had no idea that this one would stick for the next 60+ years. This was an attempt to get a little humor out of that oversight. I never thought one little joke would get this much attention. The Eternals are now one of the most diverse groups in Marvel and minority Eternals show up by Issue #11. I think this was my third video. YT was edgier back then and I was still experimenting with the format. Not every joke is going to land. I still throw in lots of humor but have learned to style it different over time. Edit: thanks for commenting on it without raging.
I think the Eternals movies will start with their civil war and build into a Host from the Celestials. Maybe they could incorporate lore about Knowhere. I've got a few comics from the original Kirby run, and sht always gets tense when the Celestials arrive.
With the intro of Thanos on the table i am curious to see where in they pick the story up. And based on the current MCU they could easily rewrite entire story. Hope they don't but... See exhibit A - The Infinity Saga. Loved it but it's way off from the Thanos and InfinG I know and remember. Love it - but I grew up eating vanilla ice cream. Now you start serving me strawberry ice cream. It's good. Both are ice cream. But you know I am always gonna prefer that nilla.
Interestingly enough, in the original backstory given by Jim Starlin it says that Zeus/Zuras took control of Olympus and exiled Alars, whom he resented for following their Father’s pacifist tendencies. A comic printed in the back of What If thirteen years later in 1981 retconns this slightly, as it presents the Eternals as living in TITANOS rather than the yet-to-be-established Olympus, and it shows that Alars left willingly and of his own volition so as not to repeat the conflict between their father and uncle. One could argue that this is due to a case of an Unreliable Narrator, as Mar-Vell (and by extension the Audience) are relayed the former version of events by the cosmic entity Eon; whose Grandchild Era would eventually kidnap Guardians 3000 character Starhawk at birth
CosmicComics there’s a bunch of free websites that have scans of comics online, you know, such as Read Comic Online. Also I look forward to see this on trending when the Eternals Trailer debuts and people are inevitably gonna be looking it up
This is the 1st I have noticed your site. I will subscribe now after listening to your Eternals summary. I think you did a fantastic and succinct job of explaining it. I look forward to perusing your video for others I may be interested in. Thank you.
So wait, did A'Lars and Sui-San completely repopulate Titan by themselves? Because if that's the case then why was Eros considered Thanos' only brother instead of the entirety of Titan? I've read a ton of wikis on how Titan came to be populated, and they all give contradictory information on whether it was entirely A'Lars and Sui-San or if other Earth Eternals joined up with them at a later date
I think it was probably the A'Lars and Sui-San answer out of the two. I would need to dust off some comics to make certain. The reason I bank on this is I remember when Eros meets the Eternals of Earth for the first time and there being some surprise and joy about finding their brethren who had left long ago. Then Eros gets pulled into a Uni-Mind.
The frog sucked up the molecular essence of an eternal by causing the captured eternal to suffer extreme discomfort until the molecular attraction in his body dissociated and the frog sucked up the dissociated essence of the eternal believing this would grant the frog eternal existence as iron man watched stuck to a magnetized table
Most comic book characters never eat, have to go to the restroom, get the flu (or other generally communicable diseases), the ladies don't have a "that" time of the month and the guys don't get erections in their tights. If they did go pee we know the guys would occasionally get a little spotting on the front of their tights from that last drop that didn't want to cooperate or from the ladies not being able to wipe off effectively due to a lack of toiletries. Notice that nobody in the Marvel Universe needs to take a snack to help combat low blood sugar on their way to save the world.
That series wasn't very popular and most of the retcons have been ignored. The wiki at Marvel's website still lists these events as canon: marvel.com/universe/Eternals
and alars son of kronos who seeks for his destiny Among the stars arrived in titan(Saturn's Moon) to find out sole survivor sui-san and together build new civilitation and born 2 son, Eros And THANOS
I don't remember everything with Phyla-Vell but her father (Mar-Vell) was Kree and her mother was Elysius was the creation of the artificial intelligence ISAAC so I would think no she is not. To give a more exact answer I would have to go back and read up. Silver Surfer Annual #6 has the story of Genis-Vall being created.

Wow marvel seemed to extract alot of info in real life mystic teachings and astral plane travel. Now being a adult this is mind blowing that these stories can be found in the Kabbalah and other teachings. Great job👍👍
I am Kinda-Lost as You Read, (3:10) they Battled, and Many ETERNALS were KILLED???!!?? Isn't that Impossible, as well.. they are the ETERNALS, jus' sayin'..
There are. Minority Eternals show up by issue 11 or 12. Eventually they end up as a pretty diverse group but it takes Marvel awhile to get there. Just having/making fun with 60's writing styles.
See Thor: The Eternals Saga Vol. 1. Vampiro, an Eternal and Toro Rojo, a Deviant. Both were masked wrestlers in Mexico City in that storyline. ¡Buena suerte por ti!
But seriously, depending on how long ago these things were, most of humanity more than likely would’ve looked black skinned anyway. But comics were never accused of being scientific.
For sure on the science. Not to mention that writers didn't have as many reference tools for anthropology back then and the culture of the time didn't push for as much cultural inclusion. The fact that they were pushing an evolution narrative that invloved genetic manipulation by space aliens to an overwhelmingly religious audience 40 years ago is pretty amazing in itself.
you know looking at this miss you brother and two selections came from the first universe then when did the feet weather Phoenix come from Phoenix was Stephanie around before Galactus universe that much

there are reports Marvel is going to do "What if" shows when Disney launches their streaming service so you can have the comics and live action "What if" media
I agree... it will be more diverse. the deviant gene is mental as well as an act... intent. The Eternals.. are unique..as well as physical.. mentally they are... Eternal.
RE: 4:00 dude, the "races" are the result of adaptation to environmental variations, the eternals had no need to adapt to any environmental variation because they had super powers. why adapt black skin to protect against the african sun when your absorbing that cosmic energy? plus eternals are... eternal they have few generations seperating them from the original strain created by the celestials humans however have evolved through thousands and thousands of generations of adaptation and mutation
I don't know it's hard to tell who came first cuz the senior God is supposed to be older than time so we really don't know how old he is cuz he's outside of everything into the big bang happened so he was fine celestial so he's actually older than the celestials so thatSally's you with questions plus than The New Guy the one under all is also this is old so my thing about living in there is always say always thought that he never really assisted like when the one above all created time everything just kind of created itself afterwards so when he created time I imagine it also created the abstracts that's why I thought Oblivion came fromso basically like I figured the one above all vs. Born from nothingness but that's kind of like what that means anyways right like I just imagine him this being this assistant one day and it's got super bowl in this credit time and it's made everything your credit I mean he made the living tribunal
Given the timeline the First Host arrived, roughly a couple million years ago, the would have arrived and modified A. africanus or another proto-human species who's default coloration would be brown given the environment. Granted, it was the Kirby era and the Celestials could have "advanced" there genes but it's objectively a fair point that has since been addressed in Gaimans run and others. @Judea Rattet. I dislike race/SJW wants on my beloved comic book channels, but I will defend a rational argument regardless who posits it. Great channel!
Love you coming in with that scientific mind and throwing down words like africanus. Glad to know you are enjoying the channel! The modern political climate has poisoned things so much that it seems I can no longer make a little humor about an omission of author who was the product of his times (an omission corrected by issue 11 (or was it 12?)). No SJW intended - from time to time I like to poke fun at media I'm reviewing. I'm surprised so many ppl have latched on to something I threw in as tongue in cheek. Thanks for commenting and watching - help keep me in line on my anthropological theory and timelines!
imo - For people who want equality we all seem to be getting overly sensitive to color (in a way we all weren't bothered with before). We shouldn't weaponise color, when the idea of these stories (from the writer's/artists view) is a metaphorical one (as well as being based in Greek mythos etc). Many people should be able to read these stories and be inspired (instead of dwelling on the external substance of characters).
In general I agree. I don't think the authors had any ill intent - this was more me having fun with the situation. Minority Eternals show up in issue #11. If anything Marvel has done great work with inclusiveness and pointing out the ignorance of racism. Also, this was one of my first vids - had less than 5 five subs at the time (It had its intended effect, drum up interaction on the channel). Thanks for the comment!
agreed. I always found Marvel to be one of the first to address issues of minority (in a genuine way for the time - probably because many at Marvel were themselves immigrants to the US). Plus it made sense; as US cities had changed and Marvels target audience/s had increased over the years (as had the people they hired). Peace.
Marvel should rename them or give them anotjher the name the Anunnaki the ancient aliens who came from a distant planet called Nibru everything the Eternals have they copy or do the same thing as the Anunnaki
but like I said in my little comments it's like mobile forgot about the center rack in another three deities who are like him cuz they each one is more powerful than Galactus and like I said I received this make the starline you like someone found another magic Stones cuz dragon has been around for a whileare we still don't never seen them don't fight the other avatars and it's about time reading note find out the history of center rack
I have to agree it is weird how Caucasian the original Depiction of the Eternals is presented but in the later ones they’re multi racial. But I’m pretty sure that didn’t appear until the 80s
Your confusing me the first Eternal series ran from 76 to 78. This What If ran in 80 to 81. Still they wouldn't have gotten the axe in 78 if the series were selling. I'm surprised they are making a movie for them and think it might bomb.
Adding Another Comment these Being called The Anunnaki there was an older war that Ancient Cosmic Wars they Used A device A Death Star That Destroyed A planet called Tiamat its Moon they Called Kingo became our moon
Yes Eternals or their Ancient Alien name the Anunnaki these god like From the Distant Planet Niburi they came to planet looking for gold had a space war with some beings called The Patricians with Ancient Allien Studies with Billy Carson and Joseph Farrell called The Ancient Cosmic Wars That inspired people like George Lucas For Starwars And Gene Roddenberry Startrek
oh man I sent that last message little early I didn't mean to send it I saw him by accident while I was trying to say was the one above all was actually all four of those characters this split and force different entities that be interesting to see how he's the one above all noise brother send me your God and
@CosmicComics ...Thanks for keeping it 💯. I appreciate it when a non-poc simply states what's on every other person's mind. Giving knowledge to the ignorant, whether they want it or not...I love it!
you really wouldn't know unless she had these two go at it or maybe all three of this is old know all for this is old as a child ocean is someone had to come first so I'm going to so I'm going to put the one above all has the oldest then I'm going to putOblivion then I'm going to put noise I think that's the name of senior God and the one under all has a boy being born at the same time that's what I'm going to put the pecking order inoh yeah and another one you missed all this is the guy who like he's in prison like eclectus dies he's released I forgot what his name was but he probably has connections to Oblivion the same connections than that the chaos King have was pretty funny cuz it's Ashley a mutant whose you could also put in almost in that category 2 light he's right up the empowered them almost
I was confused at 4.00 min. Your video was interrupted by, I believe, a political narrative. How about just sticking to the fantastical. I have heard the delay on a new Silver Surfer film going in to production is down to discussions on what colour he should be. Any suggestions? Pink could b popular.
They are all white because they all came from the same small controlled environment. Its why the Vodū (African) Gods - in Marvel Universe universe are all black and the Amatsu-Kami (Japanese gods) are all Asian and why both of the Skrull gods Sl'gur't and Kly'bn are both green and Shi'ar gods K'ythri and Sharra are bird like. Not everything has evil intent.
Heh. This was my first or second vid. It was meant tongue in cheek but I learned quickly that the internet can't always tell. I was under the impression that the gods are generally of a particular race because they were formed from the minds of men. The gods (and their powers - even reality of their creation myths) are made of the godstuff left behind when Demo-Gorge changed back into Atum and went to live in the sun. The Eternals on the other hand are genetically modified humans (or a close relative). The gods of the Skrulls also tie back into Celestial genetic modification. I forget the origins of the Shi'ar deities off the top of my head. I should have clarified that the minority Eternals show up by issue #11. I don't think it was evil intent. I think it was simple oversight by a bunch of white guys back in the 60's. Guys who typically did a great job of pushing for inclusion. Might be one of the reasons why the Eternals are now one of the most racially diverse groups in Marvel comics. See, I should have also pointed that out. Some of the earlier videos are edgier - takes awhile to find ones voice. In the end it did what I needed - got people to comment on the video. I probably would have reposted it but didn't want to lose the traction it had or take the chance that UA-cam would slap my early channel for repetitive content uploads.
There are Eternals of every race. Im a black Latino and I never cared that most were white, especially since they were shown to be based off of Greek culture. How do you not know if many that revolted were of the different races? Or the ones that were killed? Not sure what race you are but im tired of the whole"white privilege" thing. Things got to be political in comics too? Jack Kirby created the Eternals you know for who? For American kids and at the time they were mostly white and they were mostly the ones that bought the comics.
Let it sink in. Rather than attempt to revive racism and harmful assumptions, think about capitalism and the comic book market at the time. The US was diverse and getting even more colorful but the wealthy trickle down, with money to spend on comics, was mostly northeastern lighter skinned males. Just how things were. Anger or criticism won’t change it. Understand things first. Get a dynamic systems kinda grasp. Then work to keep making things better. Good video and point on fighting for peace. Human. But not really.
It all gets sorted out by issue #11. Probably an oversight, like making Ronan pink from time to time. That was all done tongue in cheek but surprisingly that bit of comedy / poking fun gets people riled up in the comments section.
I'm sure Jack Kirby, a Jew who fought in WWII wasn't thinking aboutThe Eternals as white overlords. They were based off of the Greek gods, who they would be mistaken for in ancient times. The Greek pantheon also did not have much racial diversity. So there you go.
This has become my copypasta response since I get this a lot: This isn't social commentary as much as it is poking fun and having fun with an oversight by authors who wrote this over 50 years ago and had no idea how influential the story would become. Not every joke is going to land but kinda hard to change the set list after the fact on a 3 year old video. Hands down Marvel pushes for diversity and representation and did so even in the way back. Minority Eternals show up by issue #11 and are now one of the most diverse groups in Marvel comics. Can we laugh at some of the absurdities of the past? This was one of my first vids and YT was an edgier place back then - learned to put a little more tongue in my tongue in cheek since then.
Minority Eternals show up by issue 11 and are now one of the most diverse groups in MC. But yeah. This was my 3rd video? And they had no idea this story would have lasting power for more than 50 years. Just poking fun on the exclusion of the past leading to an absurd situation, more so than making hard political commentary. Learned to put more tongue into my cheek since then. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I guess one can always claim ignorance, that's always possible. But in this world of PC & liberalnomics it is truly difficult to tell ones agenda. Personally! No one gets a pass howbeit, ignorant or not, everyone has an agenda. It's human nature. ; )
So you missed how you’re the one that points out the element of creating a sentient Caucasian race- not the comic, you- your eyes thought it relevant to bring it up- this making you the one in need of a hug and not the comic creator that was simply creating a science fiction comic for his supposed target audience at the time of this being published- it’s called marketing to your audience for this comic is not a gospel of holy writ - mental hugs to you good sir- Cheers-
It's truly a shame that you'd imply that Jack Kirby, a Jew who had faced threats because of his Jewishness and stance against Hitler, had decided to create a white master race. Was the fact that the group was all white a bad look, certainly, but it had so much more to do with the entertainment industry overall and comic books specifically than it had to do with what you're implying here. I think you're horribly off base here.
Teheran - The foreign minister of the ruling Taliban group in Afghanistan on Monday proposed that United States President George W Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair have a duel with Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar. "The Americans have circulated propaganda that Mullah Omar has gone into hiding, so I will propose that Mssrs Blair and Bush take Kalashnikovs and come to a specified place where Omar will also appear to see who will run and who not," Maulvi Wakil Ahmed Mutawakil told a press conference in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar.
This news seems a little dated... by as much as say more than 8 years. I always thought GW should have taken Saddam up on ending the Iraq war via duel. One life lost on either side - let god choose the victor.
why no minority eternals? because the eternals were the perfect beings and had no need to adapt to various hostile enviornments. if your flesh is invulnerable and you absorb solor radiation, what do you need melanin darkened skin for?
It was wrote by nerdy white dudes....and it never took off, tbh it was poop and has ressufficed to make cash now. I only bought Thor in the 70's and 80's, the only Eternal that mattered. :P
Heh, I guarantee the Uni-Mind will make an appearance. Yeah, if you look at more recent versions of the Eternals minorities definitely play a much larger role and we see a pretty wide spectrum of people being represented. I should have expanded on the future inclusion of minorities in this video but I think this was the second vid for my channel - nobody was watching and pointing out this early discrepancy did what I wanted i wanted it to do at the time - got people to comment. Thanks for weighing in.
Thanks for commenting! In my defense I dont always bring in racism. This was the second or third video for the channel and stirring the pot over an obvious omission was a good way to drum up comments. Also, I like to make fun of bad writing. Marvel has changed their outlook on the Eternals over time and they are now represented by characters with a multitude of differing racial backgrounds.
Its 13.10.2021. Its been 5 years since this video was posted. It's less than a month till the movie release. It's filled with diversity. You rock!!

@3:40 valid question pertaining to most marvel comics. Maybe Jack Kirby wanted to make sure his concepts didn't get canned.

Edit: thanks for commenting on it without raging.
i guess I'm kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Zechariah Junior flixportal :P
@Landry Dominic thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it !
@Zechariah Junior no problem :D
Awesome. Been looking for that comic to finish up my discussion on Thanos Rising.
Thank you.
Thanks for sub and kind words. On a spring hiatus for new vids but will be back soon.
Good Job, as you know that every MCU fan is heading here to study up before the MCU Externals movie.
I can only hope they choose my video over all the other ones. Thanks for watching!
Yeah like me🤨
(3:03) Chronos's way of thinking Si vis pacem, para bellum = If you want peace prepare for war.
Just the channel I'd been looking for!
Awesome! Thanks for the sub!
How do i not remember this? Lovve youre channel 💯👍
Apocalypse is more powerful than eternal?
marvel needs to bring them back!
Great job my dude
The frog sucked up the molecular essence of an eternal by causing the captured eternal to suffer extreme discomfort until the molecular attraction in his body dissociated and the frog sucked up the dissociated essence of the eternal believing this would grant the frog eternal existence as iron man watched stuck to a magnetized table
So Uranos et. al. end up at the outpost on Uranus. Ok. But I want to know just one thing: Did they remember to take their daily Uranium pills?
Love your videos.
just found your channel. subscribed!
Why is gamora?
What did the eternals eat?
Most comic book characters never eat, have to go to the restroom, get the flu (or other generally communicable diseases), the ladies don't have a "that" time of the month and the guys don't get erections in their tights. If they did go pee we know the guys would occasionally get a little spotting on the front of their tights from that last drop that didn't want to cooperate or from the ladies not being able to wipe off effectively due to a lack of toiletries. Notice that nobody in the Marvel Universe needs to take a snack to help combat low blood sugar on their way to save the world.
CosmicComics it was a stupid question thanks
I had fun answering it
gaiman retconned all this via sprite giving ikaris broken memories
That series wasn't very popular and most of the retcons have been ignored. The wiki at Marvel's website still lists these events as canon: marvel.com/universe/Eternals

Is phyla vell an eternal ?
I don't remember everything with Phyla-Vell but her father (Mar-Vell) was Kree and her mother was Elysius was the creation of the artificial intelligence ISAAC so I would think no she is not. To give a more exact answer I would have to go back and read up. Silver Surfer Annual #6 has the story of Genis-Vall being created.
CosmicComics cool.

Wow marvel seemed to extract alot of info in real life mystic teachings and astral plane travel. Now being a adult this is mind blowing that these stories can be found in the Kabbalah and other teachings. Great job👍👍
Not Marvel, Kirby, The Eternals was not a committee creation
Which comic book issue has this origin story?
Most of this was pulled from the back pages of What If Vol. 1 #24-28. Other sources are listed below the video fold.
Before the Eternals, Jack "King" Kirby created the New Gods while with D.C. comics.
Yes the eternals were created as analogues to the new gods.
I am Kinda-Lost as You Read, (3:10) they Battled, and Many ETERNALS were KILLED???!!?? Isn't that Impossible, as well.. they are the ETERNALS, jus' sayin'..
So there are no Latino eternal or eternal Latino
It looks like the Celestials genetically modified Cro-Magnon man did not Grimaldi. #sarcasmintended
The fact that they were pushing an evolution narrative that invloved genetic manipulation by space aliens to an overwhelmingly religious audience 40 years ago is pretty amazing in itself.
you know looking at this miss you brother and two selections came from the first universe then when did the feet weather Phoenix come from Phoenix was Stephanie around before Galactus universe that much
No minority Exernals.....A very good question!
In all fairness minorities show up by issue #11 and have since become one of the most diverse groups in Marvel comics.
UR-ANOS?....really???
This Rey be one of the next marvel movies
2:35 Ralph Macchio?? :o

So basically marvel’s answer to the new gods.
Other way around but yep. Same creator for both. Kirby made New Gods after leaving Marvel for DC.
@@Cosmic.Comics Yep correct he made the new gods in 1971 and then eternals in 1976.

there are reports Marvel is going to do "What if" shows when Disney launches their streaming service so you can have the comics and live action "What if" media
I thought that was Agents of Shield was for the past few seasons. That would be cool, just had to get a little dig in there.
Dog those crazy Kirby cartoons!
why can't I like this videos twice!
I agree... it will be more diverse. the deviant gene is mental as well as an act... intent. The Eternals.. are unique..as well as physical.. mentally they are... Eternal.

Thanks for the love!
the eternals sound very confusing
Thanos is Eternals from Titan (son Of alars who Actually Son of Kronos)
should check what Marvel Took Something Called The Anunnaki thats what is based on there was movie was supposed to comeout it was canned
@@mithaabigail2060 So Kronos is Thanos' grandpa?
RE: 4:00 dude, the "races" are the result of adaptation to environmental variations, the eternals had no need to adapt to any environmental variation because they had super powers. why adapt black skin to protect against the african sun when your absorbing that cosmic energy? plus eternals are... eternal they have few generations seperating them from the original strain created by the celestials humans however have evolved through thousands and thousands of generations of adaptation and mutation
everytime i ear the word URANUS i cant help myself i just laugh!
Peace.
I think you're forgetting the most important thing,
"Why is Gamora?"
Marvel should rename them or give them anotjher the name the Anunnaki the ancient aliens who came from a distant planet called Nibru everything the Eternals have they copy or do the same thing as the Anunnaki
The white only thing was cuz of the time it was written.
but like I said in my little comments it's like mobile forgot about the center rack in another three deities who are like him cuz they each one is more powerful than Galactus and like I said I received this make the starline you like someone found another magic Stones cuz dragon has been around for a whileare we still don't never seen them don't fight the other avatars and it's about time reading note find out the history of center rack
All he's another. One above all issey symbiote God one under all in
I have to agree it is weird how Caucasian the original Depiction of the Eternals is presented but in the later ones they’re multi racial. But I’m pretty sure that didn’t appear until the 80s
First minority Eternals arrive in issue #11. Not that far out.
Your confusing me the first Eternal series ran from 76 to 78. This What If ran in 80 to 81. Still they wouldn't have gotten the axe in 78 if the series were selling. I'm surprised they are making a movie for them and think it might bomb.
Eternals volume two came out in 1985 that was the first time I remember seeing multiracial Eternals like Phastos.
I like enternal , a comic a lot

The lack of comic book knowledge in this video is horrifying.
you really wouldn't know unless she had these two go at it or maybe all three of this is old know all for this is old as a child ocean is someone had to come first so I'm going to so I'm going to put the one above all has the oldest then I'm going to putOblivion then I'm going to put noise I think that's the name of senior God and the one under all has a boy being born at the same time that's what I'm going to put the pecking order inoh yeah and another one you missed all this is the guy who like he's in prison like eclectus dies he's released I forgot what his name was but he probably has connections to Oblivion the same connections than that the chaos King have was pretty funny cuz it's Ashley a mutant whose you could also put in almost in that category 2 light he's right up the empowered them almost
Rip off , of the bible . Sounds wickedly good !
Sounds like Scientology.
Y so supprεssive??
For sure. This was my third video? Was just tongue in cheek commentary for a channel with no subs at the time.
“White Eternals” 🤔🤔🤔 not just... blind white. Thanks Jack.
This has become my copypasta response since I get this a lot:
This isn't social commentary as much as it is poking fun and having fun with an oversight by authors who wrote this over 50 years ago and had no idea how influential the story would become.
Jack Kirby was a white man? So he created White characters?
Minority Eternals show up by issue 11 and are now one of the most diverse groups in MC. But yeah. This was my 3rd video? And they had no idea this story would have lasting power for more than 50 years. Just poking fun on the exclusion of the past leading to an absurd situation, more so than making hard political commentary. Learned to put more tongue into my cheek since then. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Do this have to be poly correct & liberal channel, just let it go, these were comics written in the 60s and 70s.
Copypasta response as I answer this a lot:
This isnt social commentary as much as it is poking fun and having fun with an oversight by authors who wrote this over 50 years ago and had no idea how influential the story would become. Hands down Marvel pushes for diversity and representation and did so even in the way back. Minority Eternals show up by issue #11 and are now one of the most diverse groups in Marvel comics.
If you look at the Eternals book ITSELF you will see some other ETHNICS!!!!
Comics was made back in the day where they didn't focus on minorities
On the + side. Minority Eternals show up by issue 11 and eventually become one of the most diverse groups in Marvel Comics. But that first year....
6:30 Socialism BLEECH!!!
3:38 oh just stop, like it has anything to do with race.
why no minority eternals? because the eternals were the perfect beings and had no need to adapt to various hostile enviornments.
if your flesh is invulnerable and you absorb solor radiation, what do you need melanin darkened skin for?
It was wrote by nerdy white dudes....and it never took off, tbh it was poop and has ressufficed to make cash now. I only bought Thor in the 70's and 80's, the only Eternal that mattered. :P
black people are cool
Only white eternals, gotchu smfh mcu better fix it
Fixed in issue 11 or 12. Still, a little late. Got a minority woman directing the upcoming Eternals movie. Shouldn't see this mistake again.
Cool, I noticed she's Asian or something hopefully she can make the franchise history more modern, the unimind concept is wack honestly
Why do they have to bring in racism. I am so sick of these people bringing in racism.
