To get a steep filter like you show at 4:00 all you have to do is right click the point and set the type to "High Pass" and it cuts EVERYTHING away :)
Right Bro👌
ha!
WOW..... FL Studio KING is here,
Take Notes!!!
In the mix is my idol 👍
my man

Tututuuuu lol I see what you did there. I does sound the same
man i need a vocal editing video. every single step. from recording the vocals, vocal affects, etc. that would be cool. There are barely any vocal editing on Fl studio videos.
CezaMVO on my channel, flp vocal presets of drake,6LACK, Bryson Tiller, Eli sostre, & pnd
Blue Nova good looks on the eli one I love that nigga he's underrated
I may be able to help you out. Been recording Rap artists for years! shoot me an email EvacManagement@Gmail.com
CezaMVO search on youtube there are many people who do that like brobeatz tv , justin omoi , mr different , seamlessr, and some other people that I don't recall (I remember one called guzoow or guzmow some shit like that)
If you want some tips on mixing vocals, it's pretty simple. Add a gate, gate out all the background noise and adjust the attack and release until the vocals still sound smooth.Next you want a de-esser. If you don't have one, check out spitfish which is a free plugin. Most DAWs also have de-essing features as a preset in their multiband compressors. Adjust the frequency and threshold until the sibilance has been tamed to your liking. Then, add two eqs. The first EQ will be for finding and surgically eliminating bad resonant frequencies. The first thing you should do is take a low pass filter with a moderate slope and roll off below about 100 dB. Make sure you don't get any boomy low end resonance. Take a bell with really low resonance, bring it all the way up, then listen for anything that sounds really terrible. Once you find some bad spots, lower the gain a couple db. Then use your next EQ. I like to boost around 300 hz, 2k hz, and 6-8k hz. It's up to you to find the sort of sound you want. Then run your vocals through a compressor of some sort with a ratio anywhere from 2 to 3.5 depending on the sound you want. The attack should be very low between .01 and 1ms. Release should be somewhere around 50ms. Use a delay calculator if you want exact release timings. Then, reduce your threshold until the compressor engages the vocals. Make sure it catches the lowest parts of the vocal. Then you can add whatever effects you want on top of the vocal. I reccommend using aux sends, busses, or return tracks for reverb and delay. Stuff like chorusing can be applied directly to the vocal track.
Hope you guys enjoy this video. Let me know what you want next!
Bro, I think you can change the bell filter to a highpass. Otherwise you are just turning down the bass freq down, meaning they still exist. You can also add a resonance with the high pass as well. Check it out! Let me know!

Super sick bro. Thanks!
this was great KC, can u do mastering or at least compression/limiting using fruity limiter or maximus? basically raising the master volume and putting the final touches on the beat
It's 6 in the morning in RSA and I'm watching this gem... Thanks KC Supreme!
Thank you for sharing with us!
TNice tutorials tutorial was worth it, I understood everytNice tutorialng now
not sure why everyone in the comments is having trouble following. i use these techniques(added to my own) to create very well mixed music. you dont have to do it exactly like him, it is HIS way of mixing afterall, as long as the end results are up to par. Great video all in all.
This eq class much better then a lot of other videos I seen
The second beat is powerful.
great tutorial, do more in depth stuff like this on mixing & mastering
How am I the one to respond to Dom after 4 years?
Listening to the song open up after cutting the effects on is a very pleasing sound
You can right click on one of the bands and go type>low pass/high pass. It will do the same thing, just a bit easier. Or above the squares you can scroll until you find what you’re looking for.
Finnally a decent tutorial probly best one I’ve seen
it wasn’t “strong enough to take out the frequencies” because you didn’t set it to high pass lol. if you don’t set that marker to high pass all you did was cut the low end by 10dB.
KC I owe you some checks for all these placements! TY G
Out of every tutorial I've seen you explained EQing the best.
When you realize you were doing it wrong all your life ;-;
Producer lives matter
VoltSpeed bro its really no wrong or right way.. be yourself and create your own sound.
^ don't worry because Kc isn't doing it the right way either and still sounds good
KSUB yeah it sounds good. But me as a producer i encourage other producers or musicians period to be themselves. Its nothing with learning different stuff but just be yourself create your own sound. Start a new wave
Sup guys. I need some advice on my latest beat.
Ori Beats ok
Bro bro's really out here educating people I appreciate you man you're giving people on their lunch break at their 9-5's gems lol , 💯 . Beat sounds fire asf by the way , 🔥 !
Thank you for helping me understand this bro!
Nice stuff man
Yessirrr bruh, this the perfect video I needed. Been seeing a lot of folks doing this stuff hella quick and never knew wtf was goin on. preciate it chief
Thanks man
Great video!
One thing I like to do to speed up work flow is to go to the last fader in your mix, add ParametricEQ2, select the 20hz - 18khz, then click and hold Save Preset As and drag it to the fader on the left side. Repeat until you get to fader #1.
Takes a minute to do and it saves a lot of unnecessary clicking.
👈😎👉
This is the best tutorial ever... This elevated my producing skills as a new producer 🤙🏽💯
as a new producer almost any video will elevate you lmao
Damn good mixing tutorial. this particular technique was spot on. I checked out a
couple others and this one by far was much more effective. Thanks. Mike..
I recommend to mix in context than mixing instrument solo. They will sound good solo but when combined with the rest of instruments, they sound bad
The part with the cracking sample, that was dope how did u cut it out pretty much! Thumps up. It was helpful!:)
Thnkuu my request plz one video how to balance panning in mixing
Finally a IM Producer that is smart and uses fl12
When you spend hours mixing a song and bypass sounds better
Morenob holy shit i felt this
Bypass? Do you care to explain please =)
Bypass = taking of all the eqing muting it and listening to the original beat
@@qstarr thank You very much!
Very nice and detailed tutorial
Of the several tutorials I’ve watched this is the first to actually allow me to UNDERSTAND proper mixing techniques. Thank you a million times 🙏🏽
Excellent Video Bro Thank You
wow man, this is a good technique. I have the fl studio beta atm, but I'll try this.
May y'all please do a tutorial on how a loud commercial beat should sound ? Like for instance what each instrument like the kick, snare, 808, etc volume should be so it adds up to the appropriate volume all together. And I really want to learn how to do cool stero seperation so you can make your melodies and some instruments sound so spacey like ruses beats.
Bruh I became a tough ass producer because of you man keep it up🤙🏽
Thank you bro for your help, i totally appreciate...... much respect sir....
Damn I really needed this, y'all clutch af
this helped me a ton , thank you so much
He on point with it. Ppl gotta realize EVERYBODY will not mix the same way. More than one way to skin a cat
Thanks for the lesson on eq
amazing!!! thank you so much
COMPRESSION OR SOME TIPS TO GET A CLEAR AND LOUD MIX PLZ
BOSS 🔥🔥🔥🔥👌🏻
Another great vid! Please do a video on mixing beats full and loud like what we hear on the radio.
Some mamacita snarerolls right there, nice work man
Good work man. Excellent lesson
I never thought of double EQ'ing. That's pretty smart
Liiiity Liiiiit! Thanks fam hella helped my mixes out. Appreciate the unity and knowledge you and the whole internet money crew bring forth to us fellow producers, trying to do the same thing EAT lol. THANK YOU.
I just started producing recently and y'all videos really help. Much love.
If any of you guys want, have a look at my two beats I have up on my channel and leave me some feedback. I'd appreciate it.
MIXING 101: HOW TO USE COMPRESSION (The Right Way) PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
plz check me out and give feedback
There is no "right way" all music is different... Yes there guides but messing around will get you better results! There is no rules with music! As long as it sounds goof do whatever!
Waiting on this one too. I appreciate all the vids
yes please i need someone with expertise to explain it and some common ways it'd be used. Please internet money?
Maybe he wants to learn how to professionals do things?
I think other mentioned it but using high and low shelfs to cut frequencies completely isn't normally an efficient way to do things.
First, obviously, because it doesn't attenuate them enough.
Secondly, because of how Eqs work there's a HUGE boost in frequencies at the cutoff point. You might not see in the parametric EQ but using the Pro-Q 2 by Fabfilter shows an accurate representation of it.
Using a steep or smooth low/high pass gets better results most of the time.
But there's no hard rules anyways, everyone do things differently and I'm still learning. Thanks for the tutorial.
I know that sample it’s a good one
The proper way to get rid of that bell curve after sweeping off the low end is to reset the bandwidth knob at the bottom of that frequency.
🔥🔥🔥
Bro i want this beat cuz it gives me so many ideas of beats to make and its beautiful
dude your music is fire
It makes it look and sound lot more cleaner thx bae
but Nick Mira is still my number 1 from Internet Money srry
super helpful video man. Thank you!
The eq is strong enough to clear everything with just one band you have been using it wrong. Just right click the 1st band and change it to high pass then again right click it and set how steep you want it. And you can set any band pass as high pass, low pass, band pass.
Thanks for this video!
if you right click the dots on the eq you can program it to a high pass or low pass and ot will kill the freq you dont want alot harder
if you use the other fl eq it has a preset that is called snare enhancer or something works great getting crisp snares and claps
thanks for the helpful tutorial
This channel is amazing. Keep up the awesome tutorials!!
You should make a video on how to mix and master using stock plugins
KC supreme ! What a boss
Good job
Excellent
I think my problem with EQing is that I cut out too damn much haha
really thank you for this video
The parametric EQ2 is a cool plugin but to me and some other people I know think it's a good idea NOT to use it on every sound. If you just pull down the bands it almost has a filter like sound to it which can actually create more unwanted harmonics within the sound. There is a free EQ plugin called "Nova" it's a dynamic equalizer and its super awesome. I'm surprised it's free. This tutorial was cool in teaching the concept of cutting lows and highs but I probably wouldn't have boosted every sound. Sometimes even only making cuts instead of boost can be just as good. Or if you do make a boost cut another sound in the same spectrum where you have boosted the other one.
Thanks man. Much appreciated.
Wavy... thanks bro! Happy holidays
Thanks, this is very helpful
You could change the cut type to remove the need for a second EQ
nice work
great video. Good to see I've been doing my mixes the same way
Supa Dave Beatz Check out my beats Im a 15 year old producer from the bronx! I will appreciate it ☺
Just what I needed 🙏
Thanks . This helps
Can you do a beginners friendly video on how to mix vocals
My EQing was ok...but damn it feels like I hear a difference...good ass video...
This is too legit. Thanks for helping!
This is the only video on Eq2 that I've actually understood, thank you for that...but I have one problem, how come I don't see those pink/purple measures on my eq2?
Tha4thLetterr somethjng has to be playing for those to go up
Great video....one thing for sure my brain still can't grasp how to do this I understand listening etc but idk why I just can't comprehend it lol
This beat sounds dope asf
Helped a lot man, thank you for sharing. Question about leveling your sounds: Do you think there is a specific db area on the master that you wanna aim for with different instruments and drums before your master when you're leveling? Like your kicks, snares, 808s and Piano, synth, etc? Or does it completely depend on the sound itself?
It really depends on the sound itself imo man just make heaps of beats and mix them and you'll eventually get an ear for it
do you have to do this for every beat you make ?
Dude. Just right click the handle of the EQ and select high pass with a steep curve, or do that where you normally do it in the upper right, there you can also select high pass or low pass. just look at the hint bar when you do that. you don't need to EQ the bass twice.
i enjoyed the video I learned a lot... I notice you didn't side chain the kick drum and bass.
that beat lit doe
Panning and stereo separation tutorial!! mastering like a pro and using ozone7 for mastering
For this part 4:12
Instead of a Low shelf filter use a low pass for both bands.
Pull down the BW ( band width) for Band 2 to get rid of the curve and still have the Ultra cut
Mastering with FL stock plugins!! Please!! Can you use a limiter ads a EQ?
thank u 4 making dis video mate
Make a video on how to make beats like Wondagurl; slightly distorted bass, hard ass kick, the way she samples etc
If you really want to remove the frequencies, just use a highpass or lowpass filter. You can also get the same steep cut by choosing the order "steep 8". Either way don't cut too much.
why is no one talking about that melody??🔥
you gotta completely cut each band off to cut all frequencies out instead of dragging the band over to cut
Can you please do a video on it
Its better to use low/high shelfs instead of low/high pass filters... filters and notches can cause bad phase issues and mess up your mix in a way that will be hard to fix... using a shelf is better as it doesnt mess with the phase as much
3:40 You are cutting wrong, you only need to use a High Pass or Low Pass Filter to cut, is unnecessary use two bands and there are still subsonic frequencies.
ND Music I did use a high pass and low pass filter..
KC Supreme he's saying you only need one band to do the exact same cut you did
Croviel not true. I used 2 to double the effect. Double High Pass if you will.
i know right bro i was like "w t f is that cut" theres still frequencies but cant hear by ear but they're still here and this is not good for cleaning
PS: sry bad eng
Check the preset "20Hz + 18kHZ cut" that filter I mean, so you cut everything without subsonic frequencies remain and you also save one band :) Anyway, it's a good video.
The beat is nice
