I completely agree. I dont understand why we glorify mental torture here in india.
I remember students at my neet coaching talking about parental pressure, money and prestige to be the reason why they wanted to pursue medicine. I'm happy I chose to talk to doctors about my plan to be a doctor and discuss what my career and life would be like before taking a firm desicion. This video needs to be seen by NEET UG aspirants

Sir I've been following your channel since the last three months and I really appreciate the way you're guiding aspirants like us. You make us see not only the good parts of the medical profession, but also the unglamorous negative parts. Money and respect are important to almost everyone, yes. But I truly believe that your drive to actually be dedicated to your profession is the most important thing to be good at it. I really really want to become a doctor, not for the reasons most people want to, but because i don't see myself doing anything else for the rest of my life. I truly love biology and everything about medicine fascinates me. Will definitely come back in a few months to comment that I finally realised my dream. Wish you a great day ahead sir!

4:26 I appreciate your rigour for shedding light to this specific topic. This is quite the problem in India where we think - oh! This person is a high grade officer he/ she must be open minded- this presumption comes from us because we have associated it with the status/ hierarchy. The fact is that high academic education doesn't not guarantee you that one would be less rigid/ conservative.
It's really frustrating when we, as a society, are determined to put people inside boxes that mustn't be there in the first place.
Kudos to you for not allowing such scrutinization to shatter your spirits.

Imagine people like me cracking mbbs late in life and who graduated late in life have to see this. I am someone who got addmitted late in mbbs despite circumstances against me but sometimes when I look at all this i feel why do we deserve this? Do we deserve being scrutinised like this constantly and being talked over, insulted ,gaslighted, abused ? Obviously no. Don't they realise most of us are more than happy to serve and not everyone is oppurtunistic? That we are humans too who get sad, angry, depressed , demotivated and not just Machine . I am only going forward in life due to passion for medicine nothing else drives me but yes this fear of being defamed for no fault lingers me.

It depends on ur skills , it doesn't matter what job or what field u choose.
Example a panipuri wala earns 25 k a month and another panipuri chaat wala earns 2 lakh rupees per month, he earns more because he know better marketing and has better taste which attracts more customer.
It doesn't matter what job u do, for job security u have to work hard honestly.
People have this mentality of going to mbbs or choosing govt jobs because they think once they enter there , his/her life is settled and they don't have to work anymore whereas in reality it's opposite,u have to work even more and even in govt jobs they have to work and be responsible.

I am a NEET UG aspirant and it's my 2nd drop. And, my primary motivation for joining MBBS is that I love medical science and I want to learn about it. I am willing to study. I am willing to put my 12-13 years. I am happy with a decent sustainable salary. The thing I don't like and which is making me doubt my decision is the RESIDENCY LIFE. Literally, they have 36-48hours duty. They don't sleep somedays and live on 3 hr sleep. They, don't have a life other than that. No, work-life balance. They are tortured by their seniors. And it is very TOXIC.
I love medical science but I also love my sleep. I am not a robot who can work that insane amount of time without eating and sleeping.
If the workload of doctors should come down. They should not work more than 10-12 hours max. They are also humans. They also need rest and they also need time to enjoy. I think the government should do something about it and the seniors should be more responsible and ragging should be stopped at all costs.
I wish these things in India gets sorted ASAP.

rise up to vedic culture!! women needs to be protected..thats vedic culture... women should themselves be alert for their protection practically.... it needs serious action but practicality is to stay safe n protected by choosing safer profession which values your safety n ur basic work rights..... but country needs female doctors especially when it comes to gynaec we need females in many fields...but pls all female residents should raise this that they will go for residency only if even males should also raise only if it assures max 12hr shift...we r humans not machines c'mon....doctors(neet pg applicants) r not less ....gov is selfish to invest more to pay n employ more doctors to pay at gov hospitals....there r big companies too which need 24hr service...but they hv shifts day n night shift...employees change after every 12 hrs...residents should raise this...this is not profession this is making u not humans but asses n machines...what real healh care n medical science teaches is that practically human cant serve n function efficiently without proper 5-6hr sleep n diet ....gov hospitals is just abt saving gov money so they hv to pay less to man power... all residents should go to legit strike untill basic rights of work like max 12hr shifts r not granted... they should increase gov pg seats..they should double gov pg seats.....employing 50 percent residents preferably females in day shifts 12hrs & male residents preferably in night 12hr shift..... girlsss become vedic!! dont settle for less safety or compromised health.

There are many NEET Aspirants here so my message for them :
    1. If you are thinking medical as a safe option/ career you're absolutely wrong, this profession asks for more than giving to you. Don't really fall into the traps of Medico vloggers , I have seen few of them and all of them are BS, they make money by your views.
    2. This BJP Govt has somehow picked that MBBS can be a centre around politics, so they somehow try to make it as their vote card. Eg : Hindi MBBS Course in MP (Shivraj should work on improving the IMR which is highest in MP)
    ,Increased reservation
    3. Toxic Work Culture : MBBS is fine but you'll eventually face a very toxic work culture which people have normalised by saying ki PG h
    4. For Student of General Category I directly speak to you : Bhai MBBS me aate hi USMLE/ PLAB ki tyaari krlena, mai late hogya ( Batch 2015) you still have time, tumhari izzat nhi h yha..bahar jaao waha ka racism face krna is way better than yha ka face krna

Also I don't think if someone changes the field after mbbs to IAS or MBA.. There's Anything like.. waste of seat... Because when u enter mbbs ur are a 18 yr old kid... May be u didn't knew what u wanted to be... slowly u became mature about ur choices...it their choice man...
People only judge doctors... They don't say same thing to engineer aur any other filed that u have wasted a seat...

And that they must have tried their level best after all they've invested almost their entire life into this. Even during covid second wave, people blamed doctors for not taking care of patients resulting into high death rate! This way of thinking needs to change. Hello sir, huge fan and follower. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this video. I am a UG aspirant and come from a medical background, so I know about these things more than many of my classmates from non-medico background. Coaching mein aapko sirf NEET crack kaise karni hai vo batate hain, nobody talks about the hard and stressful 10+ years of study, nobody talks about and hardly anyone researches about the present condition and future of the profession they want to enter, which is the real irony of the situation. I remember, recently in our class, while solving a question, hamare sir ne kaha ki itna easy puchte hai, sahi tick karo, chaar no aapke, seat aapki, aur doosro se aage nikal jaoge. So one of my friends (who is a topper), said ki sir paiso se bhi na, and he said yes. This is the prevalent mentality, while the truth is otherwise. Kuch saal pehle, in my 8th standard, hamare ek sir ne sidha class mein ye bayaan de diya ki 'sabhi doctors loot te hai', in front of the entire class. I mean I know ki bahut saare not-so-moral people end up becoming doctors, lekin kuch ke naam pe sabko, this is just not done, that to from an educated man. So I once again thank you for bringing this topic to light, and this is just not for UG aspirants, but also for the general public, so as to change their perspetive.

btw i love studying zoology and cant think my life without it and treating a patient with the knowledge of human body seems more exciting but i dont know whether its really that exciting and worth it . but unlike other student who try to crack neet because they hate maths i truly love zoology and even if do not get a chance (which i will ;) i ll pursue zoology no matter what!

In america 3 out of 5 physicians are leaving medical field beacuse of stress and less payement. Only 40 percent doctors suggest their children to get into medical field.. There is a huge burnout rates of junior doctors med students and residnets in usa and uk. Its not worthy of becoming a doctor now in usa or uk too cause it not only takes a long time to not only complete education in thos countries but also the finances related to that in med school are very expensive and takes time to gain fortune or settle.
Ameican doctors agree that If the same hardwork is done in any other fields there will be sure shot more money as well as success. So yeah this field demands sacrifice.

So u must beleive in what he said. Not only he there are several other doctors on youtube who said the same thing.
After all who will spend 10 years of his life in just schooling and education. And this covid panedmic situation has lowered the pay check more and had worsened the situation more which forces health care workers and doctors to leave the field. Most of residents and junior doctors faces terrible burnout in USA and western countries. Money is huge i agree but it comes very latter in life. @@DrAditya2935 yess i highly agree there are extra causes of stress here .
Grass is not always greener on the other side. This branch highly proves it. But the respect that a doctor gets is commendable and unparalled. None dares to call by their actual name such is the nobelity and god alike nature in those countries. Cause evryone being educated knows and are aware how difficult it is to reach that top position .Unlike indian mass of people, everyone in developed and western world knows how one has to overcome all the hurdles to become a super specialist. not only india but in any part of the world u go its the same padaii and hard work and sacrifice. But yeah there are no cases of physical harm, abuses and extra gigantous amount of work to be done. Everythin is within limit.!! But yeah studying is everywhere necessary along with research. You have to love studying and reaching directly to the consumers or general public so that they remember you and your good deeds forever till death. They always remember humble of your great life saving acts.
Money is there a lot not only on india but much more in usa no one will deny that. And doctors are now on tiktoks and youtubes everywhere and gaining popularity too. but the truth is its just a byproduct. There are several highly precious things more than materialstic pursuits that a doctor achieves and gains each and every day in his life each and evry moment they go more close to god and peace..
