My niece reminded me of the accident she had in MO. On a Friday afternoon, leaving KU headed east, an air brake unit from a passing tractor trailer dropped off and proceeded to bounce into the windshield of her car. She was taken to a nearby small town, her wounds administered to by a local Dr. Her car was taken to a local garage and a new windshield ordered. That weekend she stayed with an older local couple and ate gratis at the local diner. She was back on the road Tuesday noontime. She is now teaching at Wichita State. We and her are thankful to the folks of MO who helped her so many miles from home. Narragansett Bay
Some of the benefits of working side by side is you not only learn how each station runs but what each crew members role or job is on any scene all while watching everyone’s 6. Only those who work these professions can truly understand the benefits and Comradery. Thanks so much your awesome. Stay safe Ron and crew and Family 🤙🏽 For the people who are reading this, SLOW DOWN MOVE OVER!!!!!!.
More often than not, that is the case. Here, the officers know the fire dept can make it hard on them if them give them crap, and vice versa. Also, pretty much the same goes for the recovery crews. In our area, unless specifically requested by the owner, the recovery companies have his or her own territory as the fire departments do. So, you pretty much work with the same companies all the time. But in short, yes, its normally this way.
Awesome to see cooperation. There's literally a trooper that's not afraid to get his hands dirty. Some times they take the attitude, you're getting paid to be there, and they're volunteers. They're good around here too. I'ts a pleasure to work in a community like that
I gotta say, after watching your videos, the police around you are awesome. I've never seen a cop here in Ohio lift a finger to help like this one did. Definitely one of the good ones. It was nice of the fire crew to help as well.
I absolutely love the way you communicate with the first responders and employees. Clear and precise. Also love how you ask for prayers and well wishes.
Absolutely Love the Roll Back trucks, Incredibly universal for many situations! Our company bought a used one just to move a forklift from one shop to another, but we quickly discovered all the other things we could use it for, I'ts Awesome!
Big thumbs up prayers to the people that were in that truck glad they're okay keep praying that they heal up fine they look like they were real lucky how the driver was real lucky is that truck is totaled great job cleaning up the same with lots of help everybody working as a team even the trooper great job thanks for sharing God bless
It's totally amazing that the driver was not seriously injured. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and I am so glad. Stay safe RON thank you for posting the video
He had everything imaginable tool you could think of. And then the weapon showed up. That Trooper has a keen eye. Good job Ron. Prayers for the driver. God Bless You, and as always, BE SAFE!
Ron I just recently started working for a company doing towing and recovery and I just wanted to thank you so much for these vidyas I have learned so much from watching you and how its step by step keep up the great work sir and god bless
Love watching his videos. But what about the other guy? Does he have a UA-cam channel? An why did you turn this truck around. Why not just block off road an load it the way it rolled? You had to block off road anyway.
That's a great trooper. He worked the scene from start to finish. Around here you'll see them pull up, get some info and sit in their patrol car in the AC watching something on their laptop or playing on their phone until you tap on the window and let them know the scene is clear.
Ya know, I was recently in an accident (no injuries to either party) totaled my full size truck... it amazing to see what you all deal with.... everyday! Thank you!!
It’s like seeing my world! I used to work for a forklift dealer and did that kind of unload a few times with our small truck, and I drive a pickup almost exactly like the rolled one. Thanks for the video Ron!
Fortunately, no cornstalks were seriously injured in the crash. Sadly, however, a large patch of grass will need an undetermined amount of therapy to fully recover. 😜 Gotta see the humor and be thankful an irreplaceable life wasn't lost this day. Thank you for another great video Mr Pratt! God bless🙏
Even after a bad roll over, she still manages a smile in true Ford fashion, at the end of the time lapse sequence, right at the camera. Got to just love those Ford Trucks, I will definitely have a moment of silence for her.
no matter the mess thay you and crew have to clean up, i don't believe that I've heard any of you complain , its good to see people work together. another great video, my hope is that everyone who watches learns. that a job is just that and make it as pleasant as possible
Good work Ron, love the videos and really appreciate how you try and do every single job as safe and efficiently as possible. meeting you in person down in cape earlier this year was great, from one tow op to another stay safe and always watch your six. god bless - Jon Tow Op in St Charles MO
Nice to see agencies work together. Thanks for posting "Slow Down- Move Over" When I'm on duty directing traffic I'd say 90% people in my state do. But some people you have to keep reminding them
You've talked about cross training. Many years ago I organized the first ever cross training between our home town fire department and rescue unit. It took months of planning but it all came together where we practiced in the parking lot of our local high school. The focus was the fire departments brand new jaws of life. I persuaded friends and family to play the crash victims at our "wreck". The experience was great for both teams and people came out of the wood works to see what was going on... The take away for my "victims" was that they never wanted to be involved in a wreck because we used the KED, back boards, C collars, you know, the whole works on them. I find your videos very informative and it fills in the gaps I missed of what happens after we left the scene. Thank you!
Thanks Ron. Been watching your videos. I like how respectful you are of everyone and how collaboratively you all work together. And I resolved to do better in this regard for myself.
never ceases to amaze me all the ways you use those snatch blocks on the rollback. a really good idea. i guess with experience you could take on just about any job with just a rollback. really cool!
Truck's just being safe. "Honk! I'm comin' over!" Glad to hear the driver was OK! I have heard of someone getting a cab from a junk yard and doing a swap on one of those older trucks. Left the motor mounted on the frame and everything. Got it back on the road, running and working to this day.
Brian Thompson that’s what you have to love about these old trucks they can get into a pretty bad accident but there’s so many of them it’s not hard to fix simpler built ford tough
Greetings and Blessings again from Cardington Ohio .... Thank you for sharing another well-done, well executed job. The efficiency and cooperation among all workers onsite is outstanding ..... and it's present every time! Thankful that the driver is ok! God's Blessings to you, your family and the staff at Midwest. Blessings to each of the many viewers and subscribers as well. May His Hand of protection be upon you in all that you do. Thank you again for another great video.
Ron, What you need is a pick up stick to pick up that small stuff. I volunteer myself in my county assisting the local Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, and the NC Highway Patrol and the general traveling public as providing safety for the traveling public best I can. I use my personal truck more as a Utility vehicle because I have a solid tri-fold cover over the bed. In the back ( bed ) I have a lot of stuff to use in a situation such as that. I have a street broom, wheeled magenet, colapsible traffic cones, toe strap ( seldomed used ) and a lot of other stuff. When I see stuff in the road, I try as safely as possible stop and block traffic with my truck with the amber light bar on and hazzards, and if I can call the EOC advising I have debris in the road and I will get it up. We all work as a team. Me as a Retired Firefighter, that's what we done...work together. About a year ago, I was heading home and there was a lot of debris in the travel lane blocking all that lane and traffic was crossing over in the other lane to doge the mess. There could had been a serious crash if nothing was done. I stopped my truck in that lane in front of the debris blocking all traffic, got out, put on my High visible traffic vest, went to back of my truck and got my street broom and swept the stuff off the lane of travel, then got my magent and picked up lots of screws and nails. then I reopened the lane to let traffic flow. Yes, I done all this alone. No Law Enforcement was in that area then. At least I used my Firefighting skills on a crash scene in that incident. That is why I mentioned about having a pick up stick. It'll make it a lot easier to pick up all that small stuff and reduce the risk of cutting your hand although good gloves are great but they can protect only so much. I know because I been there and it's no fun being cut. This video made me think about what I encountered. I wanted to share that with you in this long comment. No matter what the situation, or incident, be safe out there you and your crew. You are best what you do and I know those you have helped were blessed to have you there. Always keep God first in all things. God bless. Michael from NW North Carolina
Hey Ron...I like alot how you do your videos! As a wrecker driver as well...i have some crazy calls and you never know what your gonna get... Absolutely love my job..You are reallly good at what you do and thanks so much for taking the time to do it....I gotta say working the big wrecker looks a bit intimidating but you handle it like a pro...Good Job brother.
mate these videos are just awesome, so educational, and somehow soothing, youtube obviously likes these too, i've never watched anything to do with tow trucks or ever heard of your channel, but youtube recommended 5 of your videos to me until i watched the log truck roll over from a few weeks ago, i'm hooked already, keep up the great work mate!
Pray the driver has a full recovery. May the Lord bless you and your family and keep you safe from all harm. I enjoy watching your videos. It is nice to see a real professional at work doing a job that has a lot of hazard to it. I have watched some of the others. And they are not as professional as you are Mr Pratt. Keep up the excellent work. And keep the videos coming
I have just discovered your channel and really enjoy it. Not much on TV anymore thst is worth viewing. It blesses my heart when you ask for prayer for all involved. My daddy was a Baptist preacher and at one time he also drove a tow truck to make ends meet for our family. So I'm hooked on your videos. Lol. P.S. im from Mississippi outside of Jackson . Thank you for sharing your videos.
I think I know what went wrong in that accident. That truck is older. And judging by how it honked its horn when you turned it around, I think its reactions were a little slow...Or a lot slow... That milk-crate would have made a good scoop for the stuff in the bed by the way. Also, you know you have the respect of a trooper when you ask if you can have the road for 5 minutes to make it easier and he says: "You can have it for half an hour, an hour if you need". He knows Ron Pratt isn't here to just look at the job, he's here to get it done! And real helpful firecrew. Just love seeing that. Good people working together.
Remember the old Ford Pinto? Had a bad habit of burning when hit from behind, Friend had one. Had a bumper sticker said tailgate with caution - have a full gas tank
LLove to see the relationship between you and the first responders! It shows that you guys had work together before! I commend you foe picking up up and storing all the chains and equipment as you use them. This way, you will never miss any of them! With your video I feel that I am the one doing the job! Thank you very much!
Ron, you probably can't predict exactly how much cleanup you will have on a job, but in a case like this one, a 5 gallon plastic bucket might have helped you clean all the junk out of the grass a little quicker. You do an excellent job Ron. I don't know if there is anyone in the US better than you at crash recovery and guiding those around you to get things done.
There's one thing i notice about ya Ron! You respect every other person you see, and you're always on tbe positive mood, with a positive conversation....... Thats what its all about mate! Ppl need to learn from you. Am happy to learn those things from ya Sir! 👍😇 God bless
Seeing the FD not only STOP the traffic for your safety, but actually physically BLOCK the traffic when you needed it, that's collegiality that should be everywhere.
The flipping over of the truck reminded me of about 20 years ago when I was parting out an 87 E250 van. I wanted the 300-6 engine but wanted an easier way to remove it than out through the front. So I unbolted every body to frame bolt except the two by the front bumper. Then I pushed the front of the van up to a large tree, ran a tow strap around the tree up at 10-12 feet then ran a large chain down to the hole in the roof near the back doors and looping it back to itself. With my F150 hooked up to the frame it took 2-3 tries to accomplish the body frame separation. I wish I could have gotten it on video as the body basically hinged at the front bumper and lifted up and off, landing upside down. With the body off it was much easier to get to the engine and transmission.
Another good video Ron got the forklifts unloaded and then got the wreck cleaned up Wow that driver sure had a lot of stuff to clean up hope when came to your shop to get everything he brought plenty of boxes to put everything in Hope you your family and the Midwest crew have a good weekend and stay safe out there
It is always fun watching someone who knows what they are doing do it, and make it look easy when it clearly is not easy. I love the fact that you do take the time to do a proper clean up, some just leave all the bits of carp behind. You asked for the road for 5 to 10,minutes. They said it was your ‘s for an hour. Nice,
watching you from russia. I work as a tow truck driver. I was glad to see that you guys veeery thankful to each other. and you clean the road together, that's nice. unfortunately in russia nobody clean the road. everyone thinks it is okay, don't care, somebody will clean it later... Imao. And police don't like to communicate with you if you asking about block the road for a while etc. they just say it's okay, don't care, you can do it. I said no, I need a space for working. He said what can I do? I'm busy with my paper work.. don't care they will pass you anyway.... Imao
When they started cleaning up the stuff from the bed of the truck I thought “with as much crap that’s in there, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a gun in that pile”. 2 min into cleaning it up, trooper finds a revolver lol
You know it's a farm truck when you can't remember how many guns were in it before the wreck. And yes, I've answered "do you have any weapons in the car?" with "you know damn well I do Ken. What do you need?"
Richard Hiskett years, ago, we were working in the compressor room,,in back of an A&P supermarket,,when we heard s vehicle stop, those bastards took 60 milk crated, square ones for gallons , we got the license plate, and turned it in,,because WE were always being told thaWE ALWAYS STEAL THEM , STORE MGR CALLED THENPOLICE,,WHOM ARRESTED THEM, THERE ARE CONTAINER STORES WHOM NOW SELL THESE, BUT THERE are no names, and various colours, but why buy,,when they are just there for the taking Cheers From NJ🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love watching the professional do his job. Flipping the truck was easy peasy. The hard part was picking up all that stuff. Always love your videos and look forward to watching them.
"They don't make them like they used to." Yeah, if it had been my dad's 72 Ford F-150, Ron could have just rolled that sucker back over and dad could have driven it home. LOL
@@fightdhr8866 yup, why i have like 15 of the damn things, find them in tool bins at thrift stores and pawnshops. but iusnt a 3/8 close to ten mm when the need arises?
this made me a little sick, i love those 90s fords. that thing looks like it was nice too. i drive a 95 every day, looks a bit like that truck. last February, i hit some black ice on a 1 lane road and nailed 2 trees. i backed out of the ditch and drove that truck home. little bit of frame straightening later, and im back to driving the ol gal. ill never get rid of that truck. glad to hear the driver was ok. always enjoy your videos Ron, your professionalism and kindness is very evident. God bless.
MAX_GV it was for respect the of the owner, that the Ford truck gave its all to protect the Driver! Had it been a Chevy or a Dodge there would be no response.
I looked for this ending music name from the first time I saw the Midwest Truck video and finally solved it today. Thank you for always sharing. God bless you
Thanks to watching you I was able to answer my granddaughter when she saw a truck with two cars one in front and high second behind and lower. She wanted to know why the front didn't fall on the other, but I was able to point things out. So thank you and God bless
@@damonabets3779that's sad. I hope she will understand soon.. Maybe show her Ron Pratt's videos in which he has said and showed the importance of "slowing down"

brings back memories dfw area, recovering accidents off the 820 and 360 dn there. this was a 2 lane road, didnt have to worry about rubberneck's but people are crazy in dfw. nice to watch, be safe.
arcflashed That was my thought too. Even though I'm a GM square body guy, I've owned a few Fords like that and they were good trucks. I sincerely wish the owner good luck finding a replacement for that F-250 at a reasonable price.
My niece reminded me of the accident she had in MO.
Thank you for sharing your videos.
no lie though a new cab for that truck easy to find and that truck be on the road in a weekend
True. my dads done cab swaps on old fords like this. And they are quite cheap to buy.
Which music?
Hell, I've got a cousin who would cut the roof off and just use it in good weather.
That time when the tools in the back of your truck become worth more than the truck itself!!
Remember the old Ford Pinto? Had a bad habit of burning when hit from behind, Friend had one. Had a bumper sticker said tailgate with caution - have a full gas tank
Ha! I double the value of my old truck, just by filling the gas tank!
@@surlyogre1476 lol
My work truck is like that anyways. If I rolled it over, even more
@@rogerdavies6226 I had several Beans never once did they ignite. The first one really SUCKED in the snow though.
LLove to see the relationship between you and the first responders! It shows that you guys had work together before! I commend you foe picking up up and storing all the chains and equipment as you use them. This way, you will never miss any of them! With your video I feel that I am the one doing the job! Thank you very much!
Ron. nice video, we say in Holland: Many hands make light work.
sietze50 Nice saying
My Dad use to say that a lot too. haha.
@sietze50 Niet alleen in Holland, ook in de rest van Nederland hoor.
Watching this, it would seem like you know what your doing. Ha ha. Great job like usual.
It's their job
Love your video's Thanks for your good work and kind words, God bless You and the staff From South Ga.
Another good video Ron got the forklifts unloaded and then got the wreck cleaned up
Wow that driver sure had a lot of stuff to clean up hope when came to your shop to get everything he brought plenty of boxes to put everything in
Hope you your family and the Midwest crew have a good weekend and stay safe out there
Love the rattling of chains.
Nice,
I kept yelling TIE THE DRIVER'S DOOR SHUT but I'm about 30 miles away and there was some background noise.
Good fast safe cleam recovery.
Yea l saw that also.
watching you from russia.
Yes & officer has to give hand guns or guns back regardless or it's thrift of a firearm. Plus he has to run numbers make sure it's registered & legal
Any idea what it was ? It looked small in his hand.
it looked like it was already on the ground before the crash though, it was rusted over
You know it's a farm truck when you can't remember how many guns were in it before the wreck.
And yes, I've answered "do you have any weapons in the car?" with "you know damn well I do Ken. What do you need?"
Ron, you are amazing. You make a job like this look “easy”. Nice to have help from the firemen, that’s a mark of respect.
Hopefully everyone is ok with the second situation god bless as always Ron
Nice to see someone that knows what they are doing on UA-cam for once very productive and professional 👍
Those milk crates would've been handy schlepping the small stuff.
Those looked like real milk crates and not "milk crate styled storage boxes" which means they are stolen property belonging to the dairy.
@@richardhiskett5422 Guilty as charged!
"They don't make them like they used to."
Yeah, if it had been my dad's 72 Ford F-150, Ron could have just rolled that sucker back over and dad could have driven it home. LOL
Great work and so good to see others pitch in to help clean up. Team work. Blessings. 🙏👠👠
Forklifts and Fords and flippin, oh my.
Ron,
Thank you for taking us on the road with you. Closet to the country we can get.
Bet there was a 10mm socket that went missing that day
They are all on permanent vacation in some far away land
That’s just not right, extremely funny though. 😂😂
What is a "10 mm" socket...and why would it go missing??
Its always the 10...
God bless.
when you drive a ford its always nice to have tools
Nice to see cooperation like that, mind you are always respectful towards people.
15:15 Horn goes off for a sec 😂
MAX_GV it was for respect the of the owner, that the Ford truck gave its all to protect the Driver! Had it been a Chevy or a Dodge there would be no response.
You know you have good content when people would rather watch your YT channel over what's on the 200+ channels on satellite TV 👍🏻
Executed job well done and it shows. Bless you.
I looked for this ending music name from the first time I saw the Midwest Truck video and finally solved it today. Thank you for always sharing. God bless you
That trooper is a good guy for helping. You wouldnt see that in california. Thankfully, i dont live there
Not true most CHP officers are great and help and are courteous and just the best
What a cleanup job !! Wow, even the Trooper helped out !! Amazing !!!
PICKING ALL THAT UP REMINDS ME OF GOING DUMPSTER DIVING :)
Thanks to watching you I was able to answer my granddaughter when she saw a truck with two cars one in front and high second behind and lower. She wanted to know why the front didn't fall on the other, but I was able to point things out. So thank you and God bless
Everyone, please
SLOW DOWN, MOVE OVER
For the safety of everybody
A. P. 101 Man my mother never dose that it makes me so mad I tell her all the time to slow down she is "always" in a rush
@@damonabets3779that's sad. I hope she will understand soon.. Maybe show her Ron Pratt's videos in which he has said and showed the importance of "slowing down"
@@damonabets3779 You can show her this (link below) video of Ron to show the importance of slowing down and moving over for emergency vehicles. Show her how dangerous it is on the interstate for emergency personnel if people don't slow down and move over. Link: ua-cam.com/video/HFpR5TYKaiY/v-deo.html (THIRSTY TRUCK ON A HOT DAY)
brings back memories dfw area, recovering accidents off the 820 and 360 dn there. this was a 2 lane road, didnt have to worry about rubberneck's but people are crazy in dfw. nice to watch, be safe.
Shame. The underside of that truck looked pretty much rust free. Actually looked like a good old truck
arcflashed That was my thought too. Even though I'm a GM square body guy, I've owned a few Fords like that and they were good trucks. I sincerely wish the owner good luck finding a replacement for that F-250 at a reasonable price.
Glad it wasn’t a 7.3 I have a prestige one in the garage
Well maintained for sure new rad new hoses new shocks
Just cut the roof and the B-pillars and sell it in Florida.
