The last singer was the best. This guy is not in his league. It is what it is.
Give him time to gel with the band for god sake. Marcus was good but all ego. That's why he was fired. It's called lead singer syndrome..
Wasn’t crazy about the last singer not because of his voice. His voice was very reminiscent of Lenny Williams but did a little too much “ Vegas patter “. I understand Emilio found this current singer on THE VOICE. Maybe it’s just me but he doesn’t seem to have the “life”
that previous TOP vocalists have had.
@@skipmessier765 No it's not you. After almost 3 months of seeing numerous concert videos, I don't think he's got "it" either. I wish Ray Greene would have stayed or bring Larry Braggs back. Too bad they couldn't put Lenny Williams in a time machine and bring him back. He was my favorite and was fortunate to see the band with him many times.

AS a longtime TOP fan, I agree with some of the comments here that this singer does nothing for the band. I've seen this band close to 10 different times with different singers, and this guy does nothing for me, or the band.. Just my 2 cents...
Who is playing bass for TOP now?
Marc van Wageningen. He was a fill in when Rocco was having his health problems. He's nor Rocco, but he's pretty damn funky.

I really like this new singer. Can't wait to see him perform with the band. Also good to see Iron Mike back!

I feel embarrassed for this guy. Really for T.O.P for having to carry on with the show with this guy.
He doesn't have it! Like he's barely able to go through the motions.
There's no energy on stage.
His voice is shallow and weak.
He has no funk performance.

... Lol. Tower of Power has recorded their last two albums with this guy. I ALWAYS look forward to new material from TOP. But to me, the album's are just missing that magic old school sound like LB did. As soon as I heard Larry for the first time, I knew they had a winner. Larry put the bands sound first when he performed. This guy sounds like it's him FEATURING Tower of Power. Needless to say I've been disappointed in their last 2 or 3 CDs. Not because of the TOP sound, it's still there, just that this guy overpowers the band with too much impromptu vocal notes. Larry had a gospel-ish style, but man! it would bring the songs to life. This guy is...mehh... No stage presence. Voice is shriekingly irritating.
There's was a Black guitar player, maybe 10 years ago that I saw in concert with them. He was new. But he was not in sync with the funk. Plus he forgot to press his guitar pedal during a solo. Oops!! I made a comment about that performance on TOPs web site. Never saw him after that.
Sorry Tower of Power fans. Just telling it like it is. And I consider myself a long time, hardcore fan.
Since Larry Braggs left, TOP hasn't had a lead vocalist worth seeing live. This guy is the least interesting yet. I came in with Brent Carter and then LB. I was spoiled. I'll always love the band, though.
It's the lack of soul for me. He isn't bad, but.....
