Hi, I have a few questions.. 1. What’s the total storage area (cubic ft)? 2. How much time would expect this take an armature to make (hrs)? 3. Would I find all necessary tools and wood cuts on your blog? 4 where can I find your blog?
The inside measures 32"x14.5"! If you already know how to use the tools, it can be completed in a weekend! You can find my blog, the tools, and the cut list here: angelamariemade.com/diy-toy-box/
Great looking box....We would like to make it somewhat bigger by 3 inches all-round. Would it be feasible to increase the all of the dimensions of the lumber cuts by 3"? Would this work? Thanks much Angela.
Unfortunately I don't have a video but I do have a blog post with a detailed tutorial with photos. Here is the link: angelamariemade.com/diy-kids-bookshelf/
Hi, thank you for this excellent video and great link for details. I do have a question, what is the 2x2 @8ft board for? I’m putting this together and do not see where this is needed. Thank you again!
so if I didn't know any better it sure looks to me like the corner posts 3.5" square and not 2.5" as your plan calls for. Look at the 1:42 mark. If that is the case, then the stringers would have to be 1" shorter. Can you confirm?
Looks great, thank you for making the video. My wife has a question about the barn doors behind you. Would you mind telling me what type of material they are made out of? Thank you!
Thank you!!! The barn door was made using shiplap and other framing lumber, check out my blog post for the full material list along with a tutorial for more details. Here is the link: angelamariemade.com/diy-double-barn-door/
Absolutely love this idea. I'm planning on taking the same approach as you with having initial cuts done at the store. How did you have the plywood cut at the store? (Dimensions wise that is.) Thanks for the help!!
That is awesome to hear! I usually draw a diagram out with the dimensions to visualize how the cuts need to be made and it also greatly helps the person who ends up cutting. You can find a full cut list on my blog post.
I agree! My mother went to Home Depot and she had all her measurements wrote down and they cut it for her with no problem. They have a station to do so. I was thinking the same thing because I do not have some of the equipment she used in her video. BTW how did it turn out?@@philippasco7184
@@AngelaMarieMade Hi ..I took a look ..There don't seem to be any instructions regarding how to install it .. It just says " we installed it " ? Am I missing something ?
@@AngelaMarieMade thank you so much, I went with oak, but going forward I would look to use pine. This is the first piece of furniture I am making, some lessons learned already. The Kreg Jig is really a wonderful tool.
Great video! Just subscribed and I think I'm going to go e this build a stab. I see the great cut list you gave on your blog, however what cuts did you have the home store make on the 4x8 plywood? Did you have them make a couple, then you did the rest at your shop? I will need to have them cut it down to make it more manageable, but I'm sure they won't be interested in making all of the cuts. Thanks again!
Thank you. We had them rip cut the board in half at the 24" mark but you could also have them cut it in half at the 48" mark depending on how to fit it into your vehicle. We then made the rest of the cuts at home.
Hey there! Great video and thanks for the plans I bought them the other day and the toybox looks great. Unfortunately the hardest part is figuring out those door hinges that you recommend. I didn't see it in the plans or the video and now that it's assembled it asks that we weigh the door? Just wondering what settings you used in any tips on installing it?
Just finished, thank you again for the wonderful instructions along with the video, must have watched it 50 times :)
Thanks for sharing!!!
Love this! We will definitely be making one for our sons first birthday ❤
What a perfect gift, thank you!
The slow closing hinge is a great idea especially for younger kids. Great job!
I'm really glad we did that now that it has been put to use, thank you!
Very nice project. Thanks for the video.
Beautiful job!
Thank you so much 😀
Can this also be used for seating? Like a bench?
Fantastic! I am making this for my son. Thanks for posting! Beautiful job.
Amazing to hear, thank you!!!
Great Job
Thank you!
Super nice!
Great job! 😉 😀
Thank you! 😃
Me encanta , qué grosor tiene el contrachado. Gracias.
the plywood is 1/2" and I have a full material list linked in the description box. thank you!
Really lovely thank you. So needed as well with Christmas on the way and more toys incoming 💚
Thank you so much! :)

Handyman
Great video! I’m having a hard time finding 3x3 at my local hardware store. It doesn’t seem to be very common in Canada.
That's frustrating, you could glue some pieces of wood together and sand down really well to create the same dimensions of 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
@@AngelaMarieMade 4x4 + table saw with rip fence = 3x3
Glue together 1×3s it alot cheaper. 3x3 are 45.00 each
What dimensions did you have the Home Depot cut tye plywood down too?
I have a full tutorial and cut list on my website here: angelamariemade.com/diy-toy-box/
@AngelaMarieMade I have watched it and bought the plans and it doesn't say what you had the plywood cut up at the home store?
What was the initial rip cuts the hardware store cut for you
I have it all listed in the blog post! angelamariemade.com/diy-toy-box/

Thank you!! I think that should work, I would lay out the boards before assembling just to get a better idea.
Is the construction of this strong enough to be used as a bench?
I think the base and top would need some additional support to make it into a bench.
Looking for size of pieces
Great video, I went to lowes for the 3x3 and they are now $45 a piece, sad panda 🐼
Do you have a video on how to make those book holders that are on the wall

We used 3x3's for the corner posts, the actual measurements for those are 2.5" x 2.5"

Great information, thank you for sharing. Question, did you go with Oak or Pine? I am pricing out oak and is $150 just for wood from Lowes. Thank you.
We used a combo of pine and sanded maple plywood which is a great product to keep the cost down.

i realize it's kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good place to watch newly released series online ?
@Nolan Brentley Flixportal =)
@Tommy Ben thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) Appreciate it!
@Nolan Brentley You are welcome xD
Sanding between each paint coat? Finished product looked rough and blotchy. Outside of the that the video was well done.
What’s the size of all the cuts?
I have a link to my blog post with a full cut list and step by step tutorial in the description box.
I don't see what wood to get can u list it please
The material list is available on my blog! angelamariemade.com/diy-toy-box/
Oh so THIS box is DIY DIY🤣
I was just looking for staining and decorating
No worries!!
What paint did you use? Where can I get it from?
