I too have a computer for tuning only. The software I use currently (Eurodyne Maestro) also forces updates. My solution was to simply keep the computer in airplane mode. No more updates... Not sure this will work with other software but it's worth a try.
Go into Windows firewall settings. You should be able to just press the windows key and type in firewall and get the correct result to pop up. Once you have the firewall menu open go through and add a new rule for every exe file in the programs install directory so they are blocked connections. Once you do that it no longer will be able to communicate in or out and you can still use the internet if you need to search Google etc while tuning.

Hi, I hope this isn't to dumb of a question, but I'm trying to figure out what I would need to tune my 97 LT1 trans am. From what I understand, I can't use hp tuners, I need to use JET dst, or else swap to another pcm? Have you ever used the JET product? Would you recommend it? I'm just trying to learn how to tune, so I was thinking about buying everything, then getting it tuned by someone so I can compare and learn. It's nothing special but it's a 6 speed, 355 with a mild cam and 4.10 rear end. Thanks so much!
@@TheDrivewayEngineer when I go on HP Tuners site it's not listed as being compatible also. I think it's something to do with OBDII and the 96-97 pcm's in the GM's?
Best LS swap? ..... not the crappy ones tho. look for the 6th digit after the paint code , if it's the symbol that prince adopted - you have a very rare 9 cylinder that is totally bulletproof and gets 42 MPH. - I don't know why you clowns dont walk around and buy these engines - I literally happened upon one underneath a great danes "pile" at the local bark park that I take my puppy Sasquatch to.

No change, you can't save a tune. You have to write it, exit the program go back in and do a read to be able to save the tune
