So good. Dionne's voice here makes me think of black coffee sweetened with honey and flavored with cinnamon. Bright, warm, zesty. DeeDee's voice here is like hot chocolate sweetened with brown sugar and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Rich, warm, earthy. Individually and together, these two ladies are extraordinary.
Great performance! You can tell this was at a time when black people were not allowed to be charismatic. Hence the awkward movement and handshakes. Love that note Dionne hollered out during dee dee's turn. She slipped and forgot where she was lol!
jeffrey conyers it true DeeDee 's voice is deeper than Cissy 's but their tones are amazing similar. DeeDee ' voice never changed even her last recording with Dionne was classic Dee Dee.
LovingAtlanta she was born in 1942; the 1945 is folklore. Cissy says she was born shortly after her mom, Delia, died and that’s who DeeDee was named after.
Dee Dee could blow you over with the power and range of her voice. She had a more gospel sound than Dionne. That could’ve been the fault of her career never matching hers.
I don't know what to make of this....I don't want to believe that Dee Dee was capable of something so dark and insidious. Then again, you never know what happens to people behind closed doors and so much of it is commonplace, unfortunately. If it is true, it would explain Whitney's troubles and pain and eventual downfall. It is just inconvenient and unfortunate that they release this film as Whitney and Dee Dee are no longer alive to refute and/or defend the claims being made. Such a shame.
Zu Byerly Dee Dee definitely had a more powerful voice but there was something about Dionne's voice that was more commercial at the time. I personally love them both.
DEE DEE WARWICK was the *ORIGINAL ARTIST* to record the song *YOU'RE NO GOOD*....before BETTY EVERETT, LINDA RONSTADT, and EVERYBODY ELSE !!! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You%27re_No_Good
I thought of this song today for like the first time in over thirty years. And so I came on here to hear if I was remembering it right, and I came across this video. It's fabulous! But I'm wondering what year this was filmed. Does anyone know?

They sounded so great together. Complimented each other quite well.
I'm amazed at this amazing family . great lineage. Had problems but they're AMAZING.
Dee Dee underrated Dionne flawless Warwick perfection!
Love when they sing together. Dee Dee has a beautiful restraint when she sings with Dionne.
The absolute BEST version of this song! Wow! So infectious!
Dionne is awesome, Dee Dee was unequaled right up there with her auntie whom she favors.
Wish I could find more of them singing together

Dee sounds similar to Cissy Houston
jeffrey conyers it true DeeDee 's voice is deeper than Cissy 's but their tones are amazing similar. DeeDee ' voice never changed even her last recording with Dionne was classic Dee Dee.
I LOVE this so much. I watch this just about every day.
Samiyo Me too!
Brilliant singing by the two of them. Anyone know the name of the show?
👍Awesome. So nice seeing rare old live footage. Hard to believe Dee Dee struggled with drugs & was 5 yrs younger than Dionne.
Dee Dee was born September 25, 1942; she was not quite two years younger than Dionne.

wow you believe anything people say without substantiation. Funny how know DeeDee is blamed for every problem Whitney ever had.

I agree Dee Dee sounded MORE soulful than Dionne anyday.
Zu Byerly Dee Dee definitely had a more powerful voice but there was something about Dionne's voice that was more commercial at the time. I personally love them both.

Now that tickled me! I'm laughing real good on that one.
Most of them probably have gone by now!
What was with the handshake? Strange but they both sound really good
I thought of this song today for like the first time in over thirty years. And so I came on here to hear if I was remembering it right, and I came across this video. It's fabulous! But I'm wondering what year this was filmed. Does anyone know?
65
Thank you! My guess was the early 1960s.
Oh yeah, that was definitely Hullabaloo. I can tell by the choreography.
Winston DeWitt Hemsley was dancer to the left of Dee Dee!
Why the awkward handshake?
......and then there was burt and hal...........
Mandisa does a great version of this song 👍🏽 still great!
Dionne has a nice body frame in this vid. You can tell Dee Dee was the heavier one.
JJ Eli keen eye there.
why did they shake hands? they are sisters
