if you ask me, "reaction youtuber vids" should be illigal, youtube really need to make a new rule that does not allow reaction video's. its living off others work no matter how you look at it.
YT absolutely needs residuals. Considering how easily content can be taken down or demonetized, they can certainly do the same so that creators get their share

great video man, huge surprise that it was XQC that reached out, literally at the start of the video i said to my self "nah out of all these it wouldnt be XQC"
You can tell when someone is just filling stream time because they're obligated to versus when they're truly interested and engaged with what they're sharing with their viewers. Regardless of popularity or financials, you should be proud to have such an interesting and thorough piece of gaming journalism. Really opened my eyes to how prevalent FPS cheating might be.
I talked about your video when I taught my cybersecurity seminar back in March due to the revenge angle and the exploit put in by the makers of the cheat. We had quite a discussion. I didn’t play the video because that would violate our policy but we discussed the issue a bit. Several in the class knew people that played and were saying they will warn their friends about this issue. I know It isn’t a UA-cam Like but good job for being professional about your behavior.
i have noticed that a lot of clip channels that re-upload the reactions from streamers often don't have any links to the original video creator's page or anything
I think the matter isn't about how transformative the content is, but about whether the content is a market replacement or not. Even if the reactor talks about the video twice as much as the video duration, if they reproduce your entire video, they're making it so the people who watched it from them are not in the youtube algorithm for you and therefore directly making you lose
1)You can not be transformative without following fair use first…Meaning that your reaction video can be 10 times as long as the original video,as long as you are showing your blank face in the corner and playing the original video unedited in its entirety you are not being transformative in any way shape or form… 2)The argument of “Well the reaction video is twice as long as the original video” is completely retarded…Why doesn’t the reactor just use the clips where they actually add commentary and not the whole video ? That’s why commentary channels don’t get in to fair use trouble as much as reactors… 3)Also just because you are fair use doesn’t mean that you are automatically transformative…You can use the clips where you add your own commentary but if your commentary is just repeating the exact same points as the original video then it’s not adding a new expression to the original video…
One thing is that it isn’t simply transformative to add additional value, it needs to not obviate the need for the original video. If it wasn’t for the LTT call out, odds are these reactions would have been far more damaging to its reach. Asmongolds “reaction” is just him repeating what you say with some extra analogies. I wouldn’t call it sufficiently transformative Same with xQc but you have him permission so if you’re cool with his reaction that’s the only bar he needs to meet
I subscribed to your channel after seeing the wiggle video. I had never seen your content before and I really appreciate your personality and professionalism. I'd prefer a high quality, in depth talk over some react content any day.
You praise Charlie or Asmongold for showing channel info, but it's like praising the burglar because he left a thank you note. Plus the only reason they do it is because they are very aware of what they're doing and are trying to make it harder for people to speak up about it.
No it's not. When you upload a UA-cam video you know someone can react to it under fair use. When someone robs your house it's not like it's legal if they break one thing but fix another thing.
I hope it was a good glitch because his numbers don't show good results which means that posting this on his main channel can even dwindle future growth
Reminds me of the spat between Jim Sterling and the Romaine brothers. Reacting to the reaction to the reacting of the reaction of the reacting of the reaction
Pyro 's isn't a react video exactly. It's more commentary than react. Asmongold was probably the only 'ethical' react, aside from xqc asking. But seeing xqc DM you puts a wild power dynamic in his hands, and he knows this.
These "old" UA-camrs have amassed an audience from decades ago and have become something like a brand or a TV channel. You're a newcomer to the platform (relatively speaking in the eyes of the unknowing / algorithm), who put out a hit and made enormous waves in a giant videogame whose culture is synonymous with tryhards. You demonstrated an incongruence in that, the algorithm rewarded you; you made a thoughtful video about the American Healthcare system and it didn't do as well, so obviously everything feels a bit unfair. Here's the issue with UA-cam, the Internet, and humanity in general: The lowest effort and convenient thing wins. I've written 50 page novellas on Reddit and got 8 upvotes. I've written a bean farts joke and it got 4,800 upvotes. It's not because the average Redditor is stupid, it's because of exposure and bandwagoning from a thread which got more eyeballs. Trying to surf the culture and please everyone is a recipe for insanity and disaster (see: PewDiePie/Jerma). You don't -actually- want to stoop to that level and only make beans fart jokes all day (as per my example). But: If you just keep making content like this, as EXHAUSTING, and demotivating as it is, eventually the eye of the Internet will settle its gaze back upon you - and likely not take it off. It's what's happened to Asmon, Markiplier, Linus, etc. They could make a video about watching paint dry on q wooden deck, and it would get 3.7 million views because of "subscribers" and well, familiarity. Don't give up -- Naz, Old Internet Sage
Hey friend, appreciate your coverage on this topic, its something a lot of people are aware of but not many people are actually discussing. It was a stolen clip on tiktok of asmons reaction next to a subway surfers video that led me to find your channel and i just find it gross that i am fed good content through at least 2 middleman rather than straight from the creator.
I 100 % agree with your opinions every singl bit of this video. I was doing my reaction videos and bit confused if im ok to do this. This cleared out my head a lot, and can even be good guideline for reaction videos..... Until reaction vids are legal. Thank you for your insight!

I was going to write some BS comment just to help the youtube algo but instead I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for actually making original content that is excellent. The Tarkov cheating video is by far one of the best videos on Tarkov that I have ever watched. It really does erk me that only 1 person asked for permission to do a react video. That's pretty ridiculous and so is making money off that type of content. I think you have the dedication, drive, editing skills and more to become one of the biggest youtubers out there. I look forward to being along for the ride!
I quite literally found your content cuz pyrocynical mentioned in the TBH podcast that you called his video the benchmark of react content. I think I'll stick around for the other stuff as well. The Tarkov video was great. Gotta admit I haven't seen any reaction video to it because personally I'm in the anti react content camp. But I didn't expect xqc to be the one to ask for permission first. Still dislike his content but I respect that he at least asks. I'm off to watch the rest of your stuff now. Cheers!
The thing I love the most about your and Pyro's content is how well put together it is, you can see that it took significant time to edit. The other guys, with all due respect, take the easy path... looks more like a rebroadcast than derivative content.
This had the vibes of the recursive react video sketch from Bo Burnham's Inside XD Overall great video to get the perspective of someone who had their video reacted to.
I'd much prefer to watch the video myself, get the experience, then watch my favorite YTers react. It just makes sense for me to get my own opinions and mental 'juices' flowing before I see what others are thinking about it. At the very least it should be mandatory to tag the video. Have a little pop-up box that links to the video for anyone who wants to see the source while its on screen. Like the title cards you can place to promote your own older/upcoming videos. **Oh UA-cam Gods hear my plea, help smaller creators who work hard**
Goat going against the grain yet again. Now this should be the "benchmark" we should all follow, priceless!! Keep up the quality work that your viewers love gOat.
It is more than just react content man. I get envious of any kind of low effort content that gets infinitely more views than mine. For example when people post full unedited twitch vods onto YT and get more views than my channel has in total! Very insightful and relatable tier list :D
Like many others, I watched your video after Luke's shout-out on the WAN show, but I've stayed for your insightful investigative journalism, and good humanness. Worth noting that I've not played video games in about 20 years, but still subscribe and watch all your stuff as a window on another world
I love pyros content, which is funny because he calls these vids on his second channel "slop" and just constandly calls it lazy and shir content to react lol
I feel you man. Same thing happens with repost accounts on Instagram. I and many others work hard to create original content, then these massive accounts with potentially millions of followers repost our content to benefit from it.
If I was a content creator and spent a month of my life making a unique video. One that ended up being as big as this. I would take all the ad revenue from anyone who did react content on it without getting my permission. Pretty sure you can do that without copyright striking. It just seems so frustrating that these lazy multimillionaires can come in and just farm money off of all the hardwork you put in. It is gross.
That's something but you'd still come out behind from that because react content fucks with your channel's impression rates, hurting you in the algorithm permanently.
I knew xQc would be the nicest one out of all. He is super fucking genuine and always looks up to all creators and gives everyone a chance and listens to them.
I'm only subbed to you bc of a react. For a guy that has 12 videos, 20 shorts, and 13 live streams listed at the time of this comment, 112k is a lot of subs. That's very much not normal. I think people should at least give a heads up, but practically no one would have seen the wiggle, great job btw, if it wasn't pushed by bigger streamers. I think a heads up is warranted because a creator could capitalize off that timing if they knew that someone huge is about to showcase them. The youtube algorithm is a mean thing. Proper reacts only can help small content creators. I could see it cutting into bigger creators' profit, but in the end the video game companies realized streamers/creators are free advertising. It took nintendo way too long to smarten up, though. So that's what it boils down to. Free advertising. I've found some big creators through reacts. The people who have transitioned to reacts successfully essentially serve as curators for their viewers. They find channels that are not known that also have compelling content. There are a lot of successful youtube and twitch careers that wouldn't exist without reacts. This channel wouldn't be over 100k subs if not for 2 things. 1. You did good work. 2. Big creators advertised you through reacts. You got boosted, in a good way. I wonder how many times these big creators get offered money to react to someone's content. If I made a vid I was especially proud of, I would consider paying for reacts. I don't make vids as a hobby or in an attempt to earn a living though. Criticism of Hassan is warranted. Damn that's rude. On asmongold, he will actually play the full video including embedded ads.
Loving the meta, "I'll make react content of your react content" 😂😂 found you Chan from the wiggle vid and it is soooo well made, you're one of my fave content creators on YT....and I don't even play Tarkov 😂😂
this concept of streamers, "playing a character" is just so delusional. you hear the same thing about asmongold every time one of his objective personality flaws is shining through. these guys aren't method actors or 360iq content sleuths, they're young men who stream video games all day. this generation is raised so much on irony they don't even know what's literal and what's ironic anymore.

I agree that Hasan standing mid-content is super insulting as both a human being and Hasan enjoyer. He's not for everybody and when he babysits (I love that you called it that) or is (very clearly) disinterested in the content, I can't help but get annoyed and click off myself. That being said, he did not post this to his main channel on UA-cam or at all. It's a VOD on Twitch that an army of UA-cam channels poached. Not sure if you knew that or if you care, but I feel like it's different than how it's framed in this video. Of course, it's still shitty he has the VOD on Twitch, just felt that needed to be pointed out. Also very shocked Charlie did not ask, he said he would during the DarkViper BS. One good thing came out of this for me, I got a new great channel to watch and gotta say keep it up man.
@@g0atmoth agreed there, 100% - I think D/E was too charitable for his... Reactions, but I respect your restraint. His chat was hounding him to watch this and he's never even played. Also not sure if you watch Pyro but he makes the "Hasan chair" streaming joke A LOT. Now he even puts his image up, it's hilarious.
Wait, is reacting to the full video good? Doesn't that make your video obsolete? Let's be honest, Hasan didn't really care about the video or Tarkov, he just probably heard there was drama and went to check it. As opposed to the rest of the guys, he's also not a gamer so he was definitely using your video to kill some time, like you said. A bit disrespectful, but I thought the argument against react content is that the reaction makes the original obsolete, which was not the case there at all. Obviously, Pyro's is the best. It's fully edited and is good content. I like that he does that, but again, it does make the original kinda obsolete. This video and title feels a bit too inflamatory. Even against those you ended up rating high on the tier list.
I found you from tarky and actually finally got around to trying the game just recently, thank you, you make cool videos and have a nice easy listening voice. Keep up the good work.
Ironically, Hasan is the only one that would often make me pause his stream and go watch the original video instead, because how frustrating his behaviour watching videos is. Although to his credit, he had your channel name on screen at all times.
Out of all of these creators Hasan's audience was probably the best way for goat to reach a new audience. Funny enough that's never mentioned, but asmond's "MMO" audience is mentioned...
The payout split sounds like a great idea. But instead of having youtube to figure out the % to split themself it should be on the original creators to decide how much they ask for. Because i dont think that YT's algorhytms are good enough for that. But the % should be based on how much effort went into the reaction. Like if someone just watches it and just says something from time to time then definitly more then 80% of the revenue should go to the original content creator, while full blown reactions that add lots of extra content should not give the original so much, maybe ~40%. But ultimately you the original maker should be able to say, yo they are reacting to my content, i want lets say 80% of the revenue but the channel reacting to it should be able to fight that claim. Thats my 2 cents
I did see your reply to Pyro's video, so assumed he asked you. I am genuinely shocked XQC asked. I watch Hasan so knew he wouldn't, and the chair....yeaaaah.....
That UA-cam hustle will get to ya. Commenting for the algo and hitting the like. There should be profit sharing or some kind of royalty system. Also, we should all call Hasan out. Not like an asshole or anything. He means well but is a self-proclaimed dummy. We just got to be like "Hey Hasan, you gotta apologize to G0at" and let him put it together. His chatters will do the rest and spell it out to him and link this video and he'll react to it. It will be good content. Maybe even fly G0at out to his house to chill with him. He's all about lifting up.
reacting is not transformative and more importantly, it targets/satisfies the same market. not a lawyer either, but if it was actually legal, people would be doing the same thing with marvel movies. they don’t bc they have lawyers that know that shit is NOT legal 😭

if you ask me, "reaction youtuber vids" should be illigal, youtube really need to make a new rule that does not allow reaction video's. its living off others work no matter how you look at it.
you seem to be educated in high quality content, keep it up!
YT absolutely needs residuals. Considering how easily content can be taken down or demonetized, they can certainly do the same so that creators get their share
Copyright claim system is so you can claim the revenue from someone using your content but not have the video taken down or the channel striked.
excuse me sir you dropped this
Cheers my man!
well played my friend well played u got me to watch a reaction video of a recation video and i didnt even know it was happening till 50% of the way thro ..😅
great video man, huge surprise that it was XQC that reached out, literally at the start of the video i said to my self "nah out of all these it wouldnt be XQC"
Hey, don't knock the crocs with socks
You can tell when someone is just filling stream time because they're obligated to versus when they're truly interested and engaged with what they're sharing with their viewers. Regardless of popularity or financials, you should be proud to have such an interesting and thorough piece of gaming journalism. Really opened my eyes to how prevalent FPS cheating might be.
It’s all to fill stream time, doesn’t matter if they care at all
Hasan is just a trash human being all around.
I'd happily watch a good 30 minutes of you reacting to reaction videos and rating them
i have noticed that a lot of clip channels that re-upload the reactions from streamers often don't have any links to the original video creator's page or anything
1)You can not be transformative without following fair use first…Meaning that your reaction video can be 10 times as long as the original video,as long as you are showing your blank face in the corner and playing the original video unedited in its entirety you are not being transformative in any way shape or form…
2)The argument of “Well the reaction video is twice as long as the original video” is completely retarded…Why doesn’t the reactor just use the clips where they actually add commentary and not the whole video ? That’s why commentary channels don’t get in to fair use trouble as much as reactors…
3)Also just because you are fair use doesn’t mean that you are automatically transformative…You can use the clips where you add your own commentary but if your commentary is just repeating the exact same points as the original video then it’s not adding a new expression to the original video…
@@properduction2586I think you may have missed their entire point, my man
I'm here for the algo boost to help your new channel's direction. You're making good content so I think it will be recognized at some point.
It does put into perspective what occurs. Thank you for your vids
I'd prefer a high quality, in depth talk over some react content any day.
how anyone can listen to XQC trying to talk more that one minute? Pure torture if you ask me
Really great video going over the topic, don't listen to the naysayers your going on a great path for just coming off of the initial video.
Great content man keep it going you got quality stuff here
Don't discredit yourself, you actually have insightful and thoughtful opinions. If anyone should be doing react content, I'd nominate you!
You praise Charlie or Asmongold for showing channel info, but it's like praising the burglar because he left a thank you note. Plus the only reason they do it is because they are very aware of what they're doing and are trying to make it harder for people to speak up about it.
Based as fuck
No it's not. When you upload a UA-cam video you know someone can react to it under fair use. When someone robs your house it's not like it's legal if they break one thing but fix another thing.
@@CruelSun69 The fair use argument has been debunked thousands of times. This is not what fair use is.
@@CruelSun69 fair use has 4 pillars that define it's use according to law. Reaction content follows none of that
@@CruelSun69 They're leeches and i am sick of seeing UA-cam constantly push those bugmen on me. Same with Mr.Beast.

Pyro the slop king brought me here
I expected Charlie or Pyro to be the ones who asked not XQC, Hasan did exactly as I thought.
I'm guessing you're not aware of the Emesis Blue situation with Pyro? Yeah, it wasn't that big of a deal, but I'm not surprised he never asked
@@chaosmodel4055The wha waht?
I knew that Xqc would ask. He’s so different lmao.
Reacting to the reaction is a genius money glitch that people should do more often, wish you the best man ❤
I hope it was a good glitch because his numbers don't show good results which means that posting this on his main channel can even dwindle future growth
Don't give up --
Naz, Old Internet Sage
Guys so. Verybadscav here with another youtoob bideo. Have u guys herd of the Manila..vanilla,,,Mandela…effect? Dalai llama asking kids for …suck tongue
I saw your video mentioned on another channel and came to check it out and shared it with my friends. REALLY good stuff, man.
Came here and watched the full vid after seeing this vid on XQC's stream in a snip.
I got here cause pyro was bragging about us S rating lmao
why'd you call out my crocs with socks like that tho
This will trigger so much drama, let the show begin
Bet that Hassan is going to talk shit after this. He is such a depraved little goblin
A fresh content farm for pyro
@@mattmurphy7030 may the slop flow
I quite literally found your content cuz pyrocynical mentioned in the TBH podcast that you called his video the benchmark of react content.
I think I'll stick around for the other stuff as well. The Tarkov video was great.
Gotta admit I haven't seen any reaction video to it because personally I'm in the anti react content camp. But I didn't expect xqc to be the one to ask for permission first. Still dislike his content but I respect that he at least asks.
I'm off to watch the rest of your stuff now. Cheers!
I appreciate how straightforward and real you are with this!
Nice reacting to people reacting. I cant wait for the follow up react video to this video about reacting to a react videos
'Reaction' videos are a death spiral for our culture.
Crazy to think i found this channel from that short of you chewing kneecaps off with the ks23. Its like i won the algo lottery
Love the react to a react video of your own video. Great content
Goat going against the grain yet again. Now this should be the "benchmark" we should all follow, priceless!! Keep up the quality work that your viewers love gOat.
React content is wrong, theft and "first watch live" is probably not protected by fair use. You can absolutely be against it. It is disgusting
Worth noting that I've not played video games in about 20 years, but still subscribe and watch all your stuff as a window on another world
Most balanced and accurate reaction to react content.
I found that vid through another creator, but your actual vid was excellent. I'm happy to have you in my recommends now. I don't even play Tarkov.
I love pyros content, which is funny because he calls these vids on his second channel "slop" and just constandly calls it lazy and shir content to react lol
I love slop
I love some good sloppy slop in the trough
@@KingOfKarma aren't his mod or something?
I love the irony, reacting to reactions with a tier list - pure gold :D
YESSSS PYRO TOP TIER, THE SLOP KING!!!!!!!!!
I feel you man. Same thing happens with repost accounts on Instagram. I and many others work hard to create original content, then these massive accounts with potentially millions of followers repost our content to benefit from it.
Hassan, no matter what he is being rated on, should always go into a special tier with a picture of a dumpster
React content should have revenue sharing on Adsense.
I’m surprised xQc was the one that asked permission
I would have guessed it was pyro
I NEVER click on reaction videos. I want to always watch the original and make my on conclusions. Make your own content, people.
Good video Goat.
Loving the meta, "I'll make react content of your react content" 😂😂 found you Chan from the wiggle vid and it is soooo well made, you're one of my fave content creators on YT....and I don't even play Tarkov 😂😂
Not surprised xQc was the one that asked permission. Despite the character that he plays, he's a really stand up guy.
this concept of streamers, "playing a character" is just so delusional. you hear the same thing about asmongold every time one of his objective personality flaws is shining through. these guys aren't method actors or 360iq content sleuths, they're young men who stream video games all day. this generation is raised so much on irony they don't even know what's literal and what's ironic anymore.
@@subjectc37e18 If you don't think people are putting on an act for the camera and chat, you might be the one that's delusional. Spend more time offline.
This aged nicely.
Asmongolds "hail hydra" analogy was great he also said it later again after the guy said "Just a better Player you know.." but as a guy around 40 not watching many streamers/gaming UA-camrs (besides British older men than me playing DayZ) ...I only got to watch his version of your video because I watched yours first after Luke mentioned it on the WAN-Show.
Objective journalism without any bitterness. The ranking was a good way of doing it. Well done 👍
I got here from asmongold, so the exposure can be good.
well thought out video.
crocs with socks go hard and i will die on that hill
Reacting to the reactors! Give it a week until they have a video of reacting to your reaction of their reactions.
Not hating but the reacting streamers really killed it for video game streamers
i watch people with experience or professions reaction to the content about their profession or the field theyre experienced in because they explain, inform or else but i rarely watch other content creators reacting to something
Streaming content is still react content. But if I could re-make the video I think I would point that out. Cheers
@@g0atmoth agreed there, 100% - I think D/E was too charitable for his... Reactions, but I respect your restraint.
His chat was hounding him to watch this and he's never even played. Hell he sucks at every game, let alone shooters - he shouldn't have used your content to fill airtime and should've just said "no I don't give a shit, shut up."
In my opinion I think react videos should just be demonetized or the revenue from said video should go to the original creator.
I found you from tarky and actually finally got around to trying the game just recently, thank you, you make cool videos and have a nice easy listening voice. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for mentioning the guy trend of saying "if I was a girl I'd be on only fans" ugh so tired of that line. 😂
@whitman maleman your parents trying to demonstrate their pull out game was the real terrible idea
I mean people can just do HRT and cut off their PP and get on OF still
Yeah I had already seen the video but watched it again to see Asmond's take on it. Keep up the great work bro, I love your videos.
It's like giving credit to a burglar for leaving you a thank you note
@@spairus4492 That's very polite of them!!
I love the pettiness. Reacting to react videos of your video. Pure comedy and I'm here for it.
This dude is a G.O.A.T.
He outwardly admits his human flaws and his tendency towards envy. Big love goat. Loved the breakdown. And p.s. everyone hates hasan. Ask Sam hyde about hasan
Everyone except his watchers, who are voracious fanboys who practically worship the guy
The thing I love about charlie is he always leaves the creators stuff visible at the bottom so you know who did it. I have found countless channels and subbed to them because of this.
his content still is lazy tbh
