Nah they always have songs on each album with great lyrics and meaningful songs but always have these fun party type songs too. To me I think people who don't like Nickelback haven't actually listen to their music outside of the big singles. I like the new song quite a bit but I thought it was a weird choice for a 1st single.
No one seems to reference their Dark Horse album. Wasn't that a heavy, hard rock record? Am I wrong? Songs like Burn It to the Ground, Something in Your Mouth. And I love the song When We Stand Together on their Here and Now album.

I’ve seen people say how cheesy the lyrics are… which in a sense yeah they are… but every album they always have songs with cheesy lyrics because they have fun… they don’t take themselves seriously with every song but everyone seems to think they do😂😂

I had the wrong idea of approaching it like a metal song first time around and was turned off by it. But approaching it as a rock song… great song.

I think they have 3 sounds in each album it's like 1/3 heavier rock, 1/3 pop rock and 1/3 Ballard's.
Half of Nickelback's catalog is heavy. I like Coin for the Ferryman,Burn it to the ground etc
