I just don't want anyone to feel discouraged if your journey isn't going the way you see it on social media. Your journey is your journey, and it is just fine❤ It's social media at the end of the day please don't take it serious 😂
Curls, thanks soo much for this video. As someone who's about to finish their bachelors in I.T. 2024, prepping for the security+, working my way up the best that I can, this was refreshing to watch. Everyone deserves this kind of transparency. There are soo many paths into tech, but I'm so glad you broke down the reality of it. Thanks again.
I see the people that are advertising Cyber Security Baller lifestyle’s. I understand having multiple 6 figure jobs and making a good amount of money but the workload is not sustainable and landing multiple 100% remote is really not that easy.
THANK YOU! 😄 I get asked all the time, "make more technical content" or "create a course". I'm like, YO, I'm learning, what you mean 🤭😂 I'm just sharing my journey. There are trainers out there doing a great job of teaching- that im learning from. I'm entertainment for those who find it entertaining.
Still watching the video so far I see no lies all truth very glad your speaking out on this topic. They seem to make anything a get rich quick scheme and people still fall for it esp when they not getting results they still feed into this overnight success mentality. As I’m slowly moving into I.T. I see it’s a lot to learn plus ongoing learning. Love my home lab keep up the great work 🙌🏾
Get rich quick schemes will forever be around and will continue to prey upon people. It sucks. Everyone determines success differently too. I just wish they would be dully transparent about how they have X,Y,Z. It's never easy and takes a lot of hard work And yes IT is always evolving so constant learning is a must. I wish you luck on your journey
I just started working in tech, and I don’t make 100k yet and I didn’t expect to this soon, I had no experience and was literally off the street. I just saw a company with a need and I was able to fulfill it. Now that I’m firmly in my role I realize how much I need to learn in order to progress. Which may mean training/certifications/ schooling. People need to understand that there’s work involved with making that much money. Why would a company give people that type of money if they aren’t worth it.
I also see a trend, where companies require so much experience and knowledge in the different types of technologies, along with network automation nowadays, and their pay offer is almost that of a junior. I've had dozens of companies reject me based on my salary expectation of 2500 euros a month, while they required me to have specialist/professional certifications and extensive experience in all forms of network equipment. In this sense, I completely agree with people on social media overexaggerating pay in IT. Maybe they should go and see what companies want and how much they pay, as a wake up call.
THANK YOU!!!! It needed to be said. I’m seeing the same thing as you are on social media. I’m going to leave it at that. I’ll allow you to take the heat. 🤣😂
Hi Curls! I need your advice. Should I continue my 2 year associates degree in Network Admin (Azure + CCNA) or should I take this 1 year CCNA certificate program + 4 month cloud admin (AWS) bootcamp (VR&E & Vet Tech funded). I'm trying to decide which would look better on my resume. Thanks for all the videos!
Hey what's up Lise!!! Great to see you! Thank you for your transparency on this important topic! I know people who really do think that if they get a cert or get a degree they can just walk into a six figure job! That's just not the case like you said. And it's okay to interview for the job, that gets you interviewing experience but what they don't really realize is that if they gonna pay you six figures, they want six figure experience and that's where many get they balloon's popped So yeah, don't play yourself...just my opinion. You hit on some hot topics for real and I appreciate you for that. Well again, it's great to see you and I'm wishing you and your fam a merry Christmas and Happy New year! I know you gon hook some Coco Loco up for the holidays! Peace & Blessings!🙏🏽

It's always telling to me how there's so many "get a 6 figure job in tech" courses/grifts and hardly any "keep a 6 figure job in tech" courses.
As someone who is aspiring to become a network engineer…that field in IT is sexy to me lol. Looking forward to Part 2 frfr!!!

Preach🗣️🗣️🗣️ a lot of these IT influencers are grifters! This line of work is a grind
Just found your channel today! Thank you for sharing this girl! 💕
I’ve been feeling this way as well! They’re doing a disservice lying to people to make money off their desperation.

@@certifiedcurls naw people like real sh*t like this. It’s how you gain real supporters vs the vain ones
@TechTualChatter might be a good topic for the podcast. You were looking for people that disagree. Might get the people that feel opposite
