It seems that many of these cod recipes were originally intended for using salt cod. Before modern refrigeration and steam/gas transportation, the only people who ate fresh seafood were those living within a few miles of the sea.

It does look fantastic but unfortunately my husband isn’t a fan of that many onions . However so many other recipes we’ve made on this site are delicious!
