- Welcome to The Wonders of Watercolour. This week we are painting a pretty pink dahlia flower. This is a full-length tutorial and I am going to show you how to paint this dahlia with easy to follow steps. This tutorial is suitable for beginners and beyond. For the FREE outline join our FREE membership level at Patreon which I have linked below.
I am using paints from Deep Deep Light but give alternatives throughout this video so that you can join in even if you don't have the colours I have used. If you do want to purchase the colours I have a discount code DEEPDEEPRAE which will give you 10% discount off all Deep Deep Light paints. Here is the link to their website and I have listed all the materials below (including a link to the brushes). Please contact me in the comments if you get stuck matching colours and I will help you.

Rae, I want you to know that I really like your new process of the images being downloadable from my email in a free Patreon account along with a link to the UA-cam video. I can save the email and have everything for one project in one spot. This project is beautiful!
Thank you Eileen - it took a while to figure out the best way to do it and I think we have finally found it - glad you find it helpful x
❤ Thank you again, for making your process easy to follow. And... I love just watching you paint. Your voice is calm, soothing and encouraging. Your videos are an enjoyable way to start the day. ❤
You are so welcome! Thank you x

Absolutely beautiful 😍 Thank you very much for another great tutorial! ❤
Thank you. My absolute pleasure x
Thank you for letting us have the free outline, much appreciated. As I'm in South Africa and the exchange rate makes it difficult to join your full patreon. Many thanks
My pleasure
Wow!!!! 😍 This is the prettiest and most unique flower I’ve seen on UA-cam tutorials! I absolutely love it! Such a unique shape and such beautiful colors! You did a fantastic job choosing the colors! Thank you so much for sharing and having such great and easy tutorials to follow along. I’m so excited to do this! I saw someone’s painting of it on Facebook and had to come check it out! 💖

Hi Rae, I was a follower of yours for years then I went off on my own for a while. I feel I need a bit more grounding so I'm back to be part of your group and follow you once again. I may even subscribe to your Patreon site, I'll decide as I go. Thanks for still being here, it's nice to know there's a place I can go to feel part of something.
Hi. It’s lovely to have you back. As you can see, I now have over 200 videos on UA-cam so there’s plenty to try. X
@@helencampbell I was declined from joining your Facebook group. I've been having nothing but trouble with Facebook, I think my account was hacked. I had to get a new email address and join Facebook again that way. I'm upset about it but can't do a thing and Facebook will not help me.
@angiefranceskirwan hi. Sorry to hear you weee declined but you would have been given feedback for that such as not answering questions or agreeing the group rules etc. this is standard practice that all good groups follow. Please reapply and I’ll let my team. Know and pass you through
@@helencampbell I initially did answer the question appropriately, but I have now re-applied to join. I hope I get in this time, thank you Rael
@angiefranceskirwan hi. It should be ok. I mention to my moderators so you should be in now
🥰😍❤
could anyone tell me how I can convert a photo into an outline for photos I've taken myself? Not that I'm not loving it here, but I'd like to have a go at a photo of same subject using learning from here.
Hi Anne. The way I do it is in procreate by creating a layer on top of the image and then tracing it down that way.
That’s the only effective way that you can get a good outline there are many apps that are available but they are rather sketchy (pardon the pun) since the outlines are not very good
