By far the best $300 watch on the planet. Helm did a great job with everything associated with this watch: the case, bezel, lume, packaging, bracelete, everything. I couldn't be happier. The most deceiving thing for me was the 16mm height but because the case is only 42mm and the lugs are curved it fits perfect on my 7.25 inch wrist. And the result is a moderatly sized dive watch that gives you that chunky feel. Very nicely done helm.
I have both (Vanuatu and the Khuraburi) some days I cant decide just which one to wear! One of the most solid divers out there and for the price! Hoping they will have another one soon!!
Everything you say about this watch is true. I ordered the 4 o'clock crown version the first day they became available. Punches way above it's weight class. Awesome watch.
I have one of these and it’s a awesome timepiece. This model is better than the prior model. The again the straps are also a great value. Thank you for the content .
Just recently acquired this watch but with the crown at the 4 o’clock position. I’m blown away by how awesome this watch is . Like you I have also tried to find something wrong or negative to say about it and I can’t . It’s truly amazing 🤩
I own the Vanuatu.. its my go to watch. Its got winding, hacking, super great loom, drilled lugs, quality (100 dollar value) super engineer bracelet(with screws for sizing) and to top it off, they throw in a nato strap! I might have to pick this up too.
Amazing watch, looks even better in person, i have the same color combo but 4 o’clock crown. The only mistake i made is not buying canvas straps with it. Oh well I will with their next model. Helm makes excellent watches. If you like this on pictures u will love it in person.
@@joelopic I can't speak for the Helm white vs orange but I have other white luminas on other quality watches and the Helm orange is as good, if not better...
Thanks for replying, apreciated. My only concern now us the weight. 200 grams can hack your wrist off after a while and I'm a bracelet guy. Its such a beautiful piece and would be a shame to have it on anything else, Damn!
@@joelopic I'm more of a bracelet guy myself and used to somewhat heavy weight watches. I'd be more concerned with the size as smaller watches are more the fashion and style now... ~38 to ~41 range is the perfect size for me on a ~ 7inch wrist. Of course it depends on the bezel thickness rotating/fixed etc... And watch thickness and lug to lug measures, to me ~47 to ~49 mm L2L and ~11+mm thickness is optimal...
Don, did the denim strap come with the watch? I'm hoping they offer a rubber one instead because that doesn't look that great. However, solid time piece.
This was a watch sent for review a few years ago, not sure if I even had a choice, I don’t remember. I haven’t seen the other colors in person. The blue was nice though.
To not knock the crown off on a rock if you are diving in hazardous conditions. Anyway I wear watches on the right wrist so crown at 3 or 4 o'clock is protected anyway.
This movement is not known for stellar accuracy, as I have discussed many times as so many brands that I review have it these days. This one has been about 15 seconds slow a day, which is actually on the low side of the -20-~+40 a day rating of the movement.
WatchReport.com I see that but there is no rubber strap option which to me makes a diver’s watch a diver..too traditional I guess. Still this watch made it on my short list for 2018 👍
TopSecretVid well, it’s $300 which is a crazy price as is, so you could always put it on an isofrane. Interesting that a rubber strap says Diver to you as the most iconic Diver in the world (Rolex) has never come on a rubber strap.
WatchReport.com The rubber strap/diver thing could be from when I bought my Seiko 7002 in 1988 which was on a rubber strap. And of course the 1953 Fifty Fathoms sported no bracelet :). Like I said traditional. Also I know this is a $300 diver on a SS bracelet but no dive extension :(. I would have thought that Helm in their "accessories" list would offer a rubber strap.
Andy Allen the canvas does not come with it, as I stated. You can buy one from their website for an additional price. It comes with the stainless bracelet and a NATO.

Great watch! Got the blue & white version. Helm watches are all beautiful and very reasonably priced.

Another great review! Man, that watch looks great.
I placed my order as soon as I finished watching this video 😀 I ordered the blue orange with canvas/gray and leather/whiskey
I hear the orange lume does not glow as well as the white. Is that true?

Loved your video. Loud and clear. Superb.
I own this as well.Fantastic watch.
Great review. Nice looking watch, good specs. Just a little thick for my personal taste. Keep up the good work.

Hello. The canvas strap is from Helm but is an optional purchase, not included.
I'm torn between the blue and the black version! Do you wish you'd gone w/ a different color?

Just got to get one, probably this blue.
Helm is a very cool microbrand. Giving Halios a run for their money.
Not really. Price may be better but Halios is insanely popular and sells out constantly. They are in high demand
@@watchreport tell me you don’t know about watches without telling me you don’t know about watches
What is the reasoning behind the 10 o'clock crown?
Not sure there really is one. Another option. Doesn’t dig into the back of your hand etc. they also make a 4 o’clock crown option.

Shame they don’t offer a rubber strap.. um I mean it IS a diver after all... nice lookin watch though.
It does come with a NATO strap as well.

Some people are just complainers
It should come with a rubber strap. The canvas one is awful.

Watch is wayyyy to busy!!!
